soft summer di laurentis quotes
Summer is everything. She’s my muse. she’s my laughter. she’s my trigger. she’s my desire. but most of all, she’s my heart.
I’ll find something else, I promise. But I’ll never find another you.
She brings out a growly, primal side of me I hadn’t known existed until she showed up and started driving me batshit crazy. And…I frickin’ love it.
she has the kind of smile that makes a man want to start writing very bad poetry. dazzling and genuine and as beautiful as the rest of her
just like her name, summer is sunshine.
but for the record, there’s more to me than you think, i have substance
“I never dreamed I’d fall for a girl who’s into cheesy reality shows. Ever. But luckily, that’s just one facet to Summer Heyward-Di Laurentis.”
“Summer is trusting and open. And she’s smart,”
summer heyward di laurentis makes everything possible
“I get the feeling there’s nothing on God’s green planet that can bring Summer Di Laurentis down. She seems like the kind of chick who falls asleep wearing a smile.”
“She tosses her long blond hair over one shoulder and does a little twirl”
“After I stole your favorite shirt and then accidentally dropped it in the sewer?” “How do you accidentally drop a shirt in the sewer?” I blurt out. “I wasn’t wearing it. It fell out of my backpack.”
“so i’m special.”
“very much so.”
“i feel like too many girls fail to remember one vital truth: we deserve someone who gives us one hundred percent. Half assed effort isn’t effort. Half assed love isn’t love. If a man isn’t all in, then we need to be all out.”
“she’s my heart”
“i am too full of life to be half loved”
“a woman isn’t defined by her boyfriends. she’s defined by her achievements. and her shoes.”
“Jesus. I can’t get over it. You’re beautiful, but it’s the kind of beauty that’s so…unattainable. It’s otherworldly.”
I snort. “That’s very poetic of you, sweetie.”
But inside, Selena Gomez and I are doing an entire cheerleading routine’s worth of cartwheels and flips. Nobody has ever called me otherworldly. I think I like it.”
“Summer is practically vibrating with excitement now”
“surprise!” the tornado shouts, flinging both arms around my neck. “guess whose spending the weekend!”
“i am a loyal friend. a good daughter. a good sister.”
“oh hush sweetie. it’s too late, i’ve become attached”

ok ik ur FLOODED with concept requests but pls pls even like a sentence of that anons ask about dean researching adhd and getting freaked out and his parents calming him down is ALL i need
HERE YOU GO, ITS NOT BEEN EDITED BUT OH WELL🤡
Dean wasn’t the kind of guy who would do the research in a school project.
He was the guy goofing around until the last minute.
He was the guy adding extra touches just to say he did something.
He was the guy presenting the project because he was just a natural performer.
Dean Di Laurentis was just not the kind of guy to go out of his way on something, he was a ‘go with the flow’ and ‘take whatever life throws at you’ kind of guy. He was relaxed and easy-going and he was just never the type to get overly worked up on something.
Until it came to Summer.
He had always been protective of Summer since anyone in the family could remember. He took his role as the big brother very seriously and often it was easier to just let Dean be his over-bearing self than to try and tell him to chill out. Lori and Peter learned that the hard way.
And it didn’t stop when she had been diagnosed with ADHD.
Dean had no idea what it was when his parents told himself and Nick, explaining to them that they must not let Summer feel different or bad because her mind words differently than they do. His lack of knowledge on it only stressed him out, his body buzzing to know what it was and how he could protect Summer from it.
Obviously, he came to realise it wasn’t something she necessarily needed protection from.
It was late at night, Dean had huddled over his laptop as he read article after article, watched video after video on just what ADHD was and how he could help Summer. But then the articles let to studies which led him down a spiral of just how extreme ADHD can be, how easily it can be misunderstood as something basic and harmless.
It was how Dean quickly found his heart thumping wildly in his chest, his palms sweating and his eyes pooling with tears as he read horror story after horror story. His breathing quickened and soon he was slamming his laptop shut and rushing out the room. The world blurring around him but all he could focus on was getting to one destination.
Lori and Peter barely had time to comprehend what was going on when Dean stormed into their room at one in the morning, tears streaming down his face and incoherent babbles escaping his lips.
Peter quickly got out of bed, turning the light on and shutting the door so Dean’s cries wouldn’t wake up Summer or Nick. Lori took her crying son into her arms, gently rubbing up and down his back until he had calmed down enough into soft sniffles.
“Honey, breathe,” Lori whispered, giving her husband a worried look as he settled down beside them. “That’s it.”
“I don’t want it to happen to Summer, mama.” Dean whimpered out, eyes clenched shut as he tried to stop his heavy pants.
“What, sweetheart?”
The next few minutes were a mix between cries and sobs. Mumbles and babbles of ‘anxiety’ and ‘eating disorders’ and ‘depression’ mixed with so many other words, so many worries and concerns and cries of the horror stories he had read.
It took Peter and Lori five minutes to calm him down again.
“Dean, everything is fine, you hear me?” Peter murmured, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Nothing is going to happen to Summer.”
He sniffled. “But the article—”
“Dean, it was one article. And it was in extreme cases.” Lori whispered to him, kissing the top of his head. “We can help Summer by being a strong support system, that’s how we have always done it, right?”
Dean nodded.
“I know you’re worried about your sister but you can’t keep scaring yourself like that.” Peter murmured softly.
“I just wanna help her.” Dean murmured shyly, looking down at the carpet but it didn’t stop both parents bringing him into a hug.
“I know, baby, I know.” Lori murmured. “Just promise me you won’t go researching worst case scenarios, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Good, now go to bed. We’ll talk more in the morning.”
Dean nodded, giving his parents a small wave goodnight before disappearing down the hall. Except he found himself at Summer’s room, knocking on the door until she mumbled for him to come in and he gave her a sheepish smile.
“Can I sleep here tonight?”
She frowned. “Bad dream?”
“Yeah something like that.” He murmured as he settled down on the carpet beside her bed, his duvet from his room settled on top of him. But minutes into the darkness, he spoke again.
“You know I’m always here for you, right?”
“Yeah, I know.”
“Good…because I mean it.”
“Goodnight, Dean.”
“Goodnight, loser.”
“Hey!”
And with that, Dean fell asleep with a smile on his face.

omg ok so i was wondering if u could do a little concept of people in dean’s life seeing how much he cares for summer throughout the years? so like his parents and teachers and friends? idk just like little situations that make them all see how much he loves her :)
Okay it’s kinda short-ish cause honestly I could have wrote a whole ass novel on this but HERE YA GO BESTIE! I am pretty sure the parents names are wrong but oh well🤡enjoy the unedited mess xx
No matter who you were in Dean Di Laurentis’ life, you would have never expected to see him this way. Though stereotypes were not the way to go profiling people, Dean did fit a lot of them. From the spoilt rich kid to the fuckboy college hockey star, he had his reputation and even his family and closest friends thought they knew Dean.
Except when it came to his little sister, Summer.
It was different with her. He was different with her.
Peter Di Laurentis noticed it when Dean was barely four years old. He had always been a rambunctious child. Hyper and active and running around until they energy was practically sapped out of him. He was loud and expressive and loved to flash some puppy eyes to get what he wanted. There was honestly a small concern how Dean would react to young baby Summer being brought home from the hospital, a new baby of the family.
But he was shocked to find Dean react the exact opposite of what they had expected.
The second Lori had walked through the door with baby Summer, little Dean had been all doe-eyed and docile compared to his usual self. He was constantly lurking, keeping his distance but desperate to get a peek of his baby sister.
They had left summer in the crib for less than two minutes alone whilst they left to grab an extra blanket when they returned to find Dean had all but settled his small beanbag beside the crib, reaching his hand through the bars of the crib and smiling when baby Summer’s hand wrapped around his finger.
“Hi,” Young Dean whispered. “Mum and dad say you’re my sister. That’s cool. I already have a brother, I don’t want another one.”
Peter had to stifle his laugh.
“Nick says that big brothers have a job. I’m your big brother so that means my job is to protect you.” He said so innocently, with such child naivety. “Imma be a better big brother than Nick too. He’s not really good at it. He steals my football.”
Peter glanced over at Lori who watched the scene before them, her eyes tearing up at the pure sight in front of her. He wrapped his arm around his wife.
“It’s okay if you don’t agree right now,” Dean said with a shrug. “I’m sure you will when you can talk…whenever you do start talking.”
It only continued as they got older.
Though the siblings were close, the age gap between Nick and his two younger siblings were bigger and sometimes it felt difficult to really connect with his brother and sister, no matter how much he loved them. But he never realised just how close they were, not until he was 18, studying late for school one night when he heard a commotion downstairs.
“Who even mixes vodka and tequila together? That’s just…wrong!”
“I didn’t know!”
“Clearly.”
Nick frowned as he heard the whispers of his two younger siblings, stopping at the top of the stairs where he could spy on them but remain unseen. He watched the scene in front of him, Summer—ruffled and dishevelled—whilst Dean settled her down on the couch, disappearing for a short few moments to get some water and food before he returned and handed it to her, quietly encouraging her to eat up.
“I’m sorry,” Summer mumbled after a few minutes of chewing on bread. “I know you were sleeping before the big game, I should’ve called Nick—”
“Hey, hey,” Dean murmured, shaking his head. “Don’t worry about it, okay? I’d rather my sister home safe after getting stupidly drunk than sleep before some stupid game.”
“But it’s the season—”
“Summer,” Dean said in an oddly serious voice, though his expression was soft. Dean, the same Dean who was known to have a wild reputation at school and care about very little in his life, and yet Summer seemed to be one of those things. “I’ll have plenty of more games to win. I only have one sister.”
Summer snorted, a dazed smile on her face. “You loooove me,” She sung playfully, knocking his shoulder. “I’m your favourite.”
He gave her a deadpanned look. “You’re everyone’s favourite in this family.”
She placed a hand on his head. “You’re definitely second after Nick.”
“Fuck off!” He laughed, shoving her off but it was all playful.
Nick found himself smiling at the scene, his heart warming to know that despite the wild card his little brother was, he still took family seriously. Especially Summer. Always Summer.
But it had really shocked the boys.
When Garrett, Logan and Tucker met Dean, they thought they knew all there was to him. Sure, he was a bit of a frat boy and he slept with anything that moved and he could be reckless and unaware of his actions’ consequences, but he was a good guy and a solid friend. And an absolutely amazing hockey player.
They had all gotten along so well that it felt as though they had known each other for years. It was so easy to live together, to see each other every day and not get bored of being around your best friends constantly. It felt like there was nothing they could hide from each other.
So when Dean told his boys that his little sister was visiting for the weekend, they didn’t know what to expect. Maybe someone just as spoilt as Dean, but they had never really heard Dean talk about Summer or their relationship. They wondered if it was just going to be a weekend of dealing with Dean and a female version, or even two siblings bickering and at each other’s throats constantly.
What they weren’t expecting was Dean to be like that.
Garrett thought he had lost his mind when he saw Dean making his sister breakfast, claiming she liked her pancakes a certain way as he made a smiley face with fruits and whipped cream for Summer.
Logan thought he concussion from practice had really fucked with his head when Dean declined the party invitation, claiming Summer wanted to have a movie night so they were heading out to get snacks and the boys were welcome to join them.
Tucker thought he had entered an alternative universe when he found Dean holding Summer’s hair back as she vomited into the kitchen sink, rubbing her back and assuring her everything would be okay and assuring Tucker he would clean up the mess (despite having vomited himself in that sink multiple times and never doing a thing about it).
“How have we never seen this side of him before?”
“How does he even have this side of him?!”
“Who knew Dean was a softie when it came to his little sister.”
“Softie, my ass! He punched Roberts from the basketball team for just looking at Summer.”
“Are we sure Dean doesn’t have a twin brother?”
“Who knows at this point.”
The last person who was left truly shell-shocked by Dean’s sudden change in personality when it came to his little sister was Allie.
It was no secret that Allie just assumed Dean was a manwhore when they first slept together. Hey, she thought that even after they were official because Dean Di Laurentis had a reputation and everyone knew about it. But she had seen different sides of Dean as they grew closer, softer, sweeter sides. She knew that her boyfriend wasn’t the uncaring, reckless party animal that everyone considered him to be. At least, not all of the time.
Still, it threw her off when she met Summer for the first time.
Bubbly, sweet, loving Summer who was practically buzzing from excitement when they first met. The same Summer that despite the shared blonde hair and perfect blue eyes, shared a very different personality to her other two brothers.
But around Summer, Dean wasn’t the manwhore or the party animal or the reckless one, he was a big brother. He was asking Summer about school and her friends, asking her if she had stuck with her monthly therapy sessions and how she had been keeping up with her new schedules.
He had even apologised to Allie, pressing a soft kiss on her lips before taking some time out of their day trip to his family’s penthouse to help out Summer because Dean knew how she struggled with projects and he would never let his sister struggle alone.
It was mindboggling and a surprising to say the least.
But it was also sweet and heart-warming.
People could say what they like about Dean Di Laurentis. They could claim he is arrogant and spoilt. They could call him every name under the sun and judge his past lifestyle. They could do whatever they pleased.
But no one could deny that Dean Di Laurentis loved his little sister and would do about anything for her.
