*Omega Centauri - NGC 5139, or Caldwell 80* This is a globular cluster in the constellation of Centaurus that was first identified as a non-stellar object by Edmond Halley in 1677. Located at a distance of 17,090 light-years (5,240 pc), it is the largest known globular cluster in the Milky Way at a diameter of roughly 150 light-years. It is estimated to contain approximately 10 million stars, and a total mass equivalent to 4 million solar masses, making it the most massive known globular cluster in the Milky Way. Omega Centauri is very different from most other galactic globular clusters to the extent that it is thought to have an origin as the core remnant of a disrupted dwarf galaxy. *Observation data* Class: VIII Constellation: Centaurus Right ascension: 13h 26m 47.28s Declination: −47° 28′ 46.1″ Distance: 15.8 ± 1.1 kly (4.84 ± 0.34 kpc) Apparent magnitude (V): 3.9 Apparent dimensions (V): 36′.3 *Physical Characteristics* Mass: (4.05±0.1)×106 M☉ Radius: 86 ± 6 ly Estimated age: 11.52 Gyr Other designations: NGC 5139, GCl 24, ω Centauri, Caldwell 80, Mel 118 *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __47 x 30 sec. each frame (23 min. 30 sec. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #OmegaCentauri #globularcluster #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLhAZjRpH0U/?igshid=11im8w3zhn5bp

*Crab Nebula - M1* The Crab Nebula (catalogue designations M1, NGC 1952, Taurus A) is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The common name comes from William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, who observed the object in 1840 using a 36-inch telescope and produced a drawing that looked somewhat like a crab. The nebula was discovered by English astronomer John Bevis in 1731, and it corresponds with a bright supernova recorded by Chinese astronomers in 1054. The nebula was the first astronomical object identified that corresponds with a historical supernova explosion. *Observation data* Distance to Earth: 6,523 light years Distance: 6500±1600 ly (2000±500 pc) Constellation: Taurus Absolute magnitude (V): −3.1±0.5 Apparent dimensions (V): 420″ × 290″ Coordinates: RA 5h 34m 32s | Dec +22° 0′ 52″ *Physical Characteristics* Radius: ~5.5 ly (~1.7 pc) Absolute magnitude (V): −3.1±0.5 Notable features: Optical pulsar Designations: Messier 1, NGC 1952, Taurus A, Sh2-244 *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __48 x 30 sec. each frame (24 min. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #CrabNebula #astrophysics #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLqqYeNJVcZ/?igshid=qfm1kjml0apz

*Seagull Nebula - IC 2177* *Seagull's Head - NGC 2327* Also visible in this pic due to good FOV at this lens of 180mm. This is a region of nebulosity that lies along the border between the constellations Monoceros and Canis Major. It is a roughly circular H II region centered on the Be star HD 53367. This nebula was discovered by Welsh amateur astronomer Isaac Roberts and was described by him as "pretty bright, extremely large, irregularly round, very diffuse." The name Seagull Nebula is sometimes applied by amateur astronomers to this emission region, although it more properly includes the neighboring regions of star clusters, dust clouds and reflection nebulae. This latter region includes the open clusters NGC 2335 and NGC 2343. NGC 2327 is located in IC 2177. It is also known as the Seagull's Head, due to its larger presence in the Seagull nebula. *Observation data:* Right ascension: 07h 04m 25s Declination: −10° 27.3′ Distance: 3650 ly (1,120 pc) Apparent magnitude (V): 15.23 Constellation: Monoceros Designations: GUM 1, IC 2177, Sh2-292 *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Exif Details*: __29 x 60 sec. subs __10 Dark __No Flats __No Bias __f/2.8 __180mm __ISO-1600 *Processing Details*: __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Equipments:* __Canon 450D Astro-Modified DSLR __NIKKOR Ai-s 180mm F/2.8 ED Lens __iOptron SkyGuider Pro __iOptron Ball Head __INNOREL RT90C Carbon Fibers Tripod *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #SeagullNebula #nightsky #astronomy #astrophysics #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CL36iCwpFTl/?igshid=ldtm8sn7qfar

*Spiral Galaxies in Coma Berenices - M100 & NGC 4312* with few more satellite galaxies... Messier 100 is a grand design intermediate spiral galaxy in the southern part of the mildly northern Coma Berenices. It is one of the brightest and largest galaxies in the Virgo Cluster and is approximately 55 million light-years from our galaxy, its diameter being 107,000 light years, and being about 60% as large. Messier 100 is considered a starburst galaxy with the strongest star formation activity concentrated in its center, within a ring – actually two tightly wound spiral arms attached to a small nuclear bar of radius: one thousand parsecs – where star formation has been taking place since at least 500 million years ago in separate bursts. As usual on spiral galaxies of the Virgo Cluster, in the rest of the disk both star formation and neutral hydrogen, of which M100 is deficient compared to isolated spiral galaxies of similar Hubble type, are truncated within the galaxy's disk, which is caused by interactions with the intracluster medium of Virgo. *Observation data* Distance to Earth: 55 million light years Apparent mass: ~200 billion M☉ Radius: 53,500 light years Distance: 55 Mly Apparent size (V): 7′.4 × 6′.3 Group or cluster: Virgo Cluster *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __49 x 30 sec. each frame (24 min. 30 sec. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #SpiralGalaxies #astrophysics #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLv0x71pUOQ/?igshid=1imf6oslawsbz

*Ring Nebula - M57* The Ring Nebula (also catalogued as Messier 57, M57 or NGC 6720) is a planetary nebula in the mildly northern constellation of Lyra. Such nebulae are formed by a starburst – ionized gas has expelled into the surrounding interstellar medium by a star to form a vast luminous envelope containing the star in its last stages of its evolution before becoming a white dwarf. The Ring Nebula is around 1 light year across and is expanding at a rate of 1.5 million kilometers per day. The Ring Nebula will grow 50% larger in diameter over the next few thousand years before it begins to fade and disperse. *Observation data* Distance to Earth: 2,283 light years Constellation: Lyra Absolute magnitude (V): −0.2+0.7; −1.8 Apparent dimensions (V): 230″ × 230″ Distance: 2567±115 ly (787±35 pc) Coordinates: RA 18h 53m 35s | Dec +33° 1′ 45″ *Physical Characteristics* Radius: 1.3 (+0.8 −0.4) ly *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __38 x 30 sec. each frame (19 min. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #RingNebula #astrophysics #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLobX6bp0FP/?igshid=hzc6ilrnjy8m

*Eta Carinae Nebula - NGC 3372* The Carina Nebula or Eta Carinae Nebula (catalogued as NGC 3372; also known as the Grand Nebula, Great Carina Nebula) is a large, complex area of bright and dark nebulosity in the constellation Carina, and is located in the Carina–Sagittarius Arm. The nebula is approximately 8,500 light-years (2,600 pc) from Earth. The nebula has within its boundaries the large Carina OB1 association and several related open clusters, including numerous O-type stars and several Wolf–Rayet stars. The nebula is one of the largest diffuse nebulae in our skies. Although it is four times as large as and even brighter than the famous Orion Nebula, the Carina Nebula is much less well known due to its location in the southern sky. It was discovered by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille in 1752 from the Cape of Good Hope. *Observation data* Right ascension: 10h 45m 08.5s Declination: −59° 52′ 04″ Distance: ~8,500 ly (~2,600[2] pc) Apparent magnitude (V): +1.0 Apparent dimensions (V): 120 × 120 arcmins Constellation: Carina *Physical Characteristics* Radius: ~230[4] ly (~70 pc) Notable features: Eta Carinae Keyhole Nebula Includes numerous open clusters and dark nebulae Designations: NGC 3372, ESO 128-EN013, GC 2197, h 3295, Caldwell 92. *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __80 x 30 sec. each frame (40 min. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #CarinaeNebula #openstarcluster #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLlseteph__/?igshid=ukwbbvlonlg

*Southern Pinwheel Galaxy - M83* Messier 83 or M83, also known as the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy and NGC 5236, is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 15 million light-years away in the constellation borders of Hydra and Centaurus. Nicolas Louis de Lacaille discovered M83 on February 23, 1752 at the Cape of Good Hope. Charles Messier added it to his catalogue of nebulous objects (now known as the Messier Catalogue) in March 1781. It is one of the closest and brightest barred spiral galaxies in the sky, and is visible with binoculars. Its nickname of the Southern Pinwheel derives from its resemblance to the Pinwheel Galaxy (M101). *Observation data* Constellation: Hydra Right ascension: 13h 37m 00.919s Declination: −29° 51′ 56.74″ Redshift: 0.001721±0.000013 Helio radial velocity: 508 km/s Distance: 14.7 Mly (4.50 Mpc) Apparent magnitude (V): 7.54 *Characteristics* Type: SAB(s)c Apparent size (V): 12′.9 × 11′.5 *Captured on*: __Feb. 14, 2021... *Equipment*: __TSOptics Photon 12" F4 Advanced Newtonian... __TSOptics 0.95 reducer and coma corrector... __SoftwareBisque Paramount MX Mount... __Nikon D750 DSLR Camera .... *Processing Details*: __58 x 30 sec. each frame (29 min. data) __17 dark frames __ISO-1270 __Stacked in DSS __Processed in PixInsight __Enhanced in LightRoom & Snapseed *Location:* __Chiguru Farm, Bilikal Forest, Karnataka *Sky Conditions* __Bortle Scale 3.8 __Clear Sky __Few surrounding villages lights interference #SouthernPinwheelGalaxy #galaxy #nightsky #astronomy #softwarebisque #astrophotography #starrynight #cosmos #AstroPhotographyIndia #nikon #Travel #karnataka #india © Vijay Kapoor Follow My Instagram for More pics: http://Instagram.com/lunar_mountains_climber https://www.instagram.com/p/CLdn-pGJW5N/?igshid=17sf9ppnpu0y7
