Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.
Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.
Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

Everything Steve Grant Rogers knew about love was heartbreak and loss.
First it was Molly from second grade, Susan from his english class in seventh grade followed her, after that it was Michael and Jonathan from his figure drawing class.
Of course not all of them were of romantic love.
When he was told of his fathers death, that broke him a little too, It was more manageable because it happened before he was born.
And then… his mother took her last breath alone in an hospital bed, and that was the worst pain he could endure in his life, or that was he thought at the time anyway.
No.
The worst pain of his life was losing Bucky and keep losing him every damn time, no matter what he did and no matter the circumstances.
First it was losing him in the arms of pretty dames with soft voices and softer lips, then to the war when he was finally drafted.
When he knew of his status as missing, of course he got to him without a second thought of doing stupid things like wasting time for backup or approval.
It was imperative the speed of his rescue mission, Buckys life was on the line and Steve wouldn’t sacrifice him for stupid and unnecessary rules.
Without Bucky there is no Steve Rogers after all, not a sane one anyway.
The train incident made him break completely at last and he couldn’t take it anymore.
They didn’t even let him go looking for Bucky.
How dare they?
At least that way he could’ve gotten a little bit of closure, but no.
The missions were more important of course.
Of course….
When the opportunity of sinking the Valkyrie was presented to him on a silver platter, he just took it without hesitation.
At last, he could be reunited with Bucky and the endless cycle of heartbreak could end.
.
.
.
Of course that wasn’t what happened, of course that couldn’t be his end.

i see a lot of stuff thats like ''steve's thing is sports" and eddie or the other kids should make an effort to get into it for him. but also... like i get the desire to give steve a thing, but i also think a lot of steve's life before the show starts and even continuing on is based on being cool and being popular (even in season 3 he still makes comments about it, still trapped in that mindset) and i think sports are very much part of that. like yeah i think he likes them and enjoys playing but i don't think he's actually as passionate about them the way the others are about their interests. or if he is it's tinged with the need to have acceptable hobbies and that should be unpacked.
and just like steve is what 19? 20? i think the idea of him not knowing what he's passionate about is a lot more compelling. him being friends with a bunch of nerds slowly let's him start to be okay with being passionate about things at all, especially things that aren't expected of him.
i just really like the idea of steve changing and growing. like him being a preppy high school jock is not actually his final form, thats like fucking small beans, thats fucking high school. and it is and will always be a part of him but let him grow up and find his own weird self.

Listen, I may forget every single detail of every media I consume, HOWEVER, I JUST SPENT 4 HOURS STRAIGHT (I'm not kidding) MAKING A MAP OF HOW A PUZZLE IN SALLY FACE COULD BE PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE.
It's just a kind of maze but in first person. You have to go into some arches in the correct order to get to the final room. Did the creator create a physical map of this maze? I DON'T THINK SO, BECAUSE THE ARCHES DON'T MAKE FUCKING SENSE.
BUT AFTER FOUR FRICKING HOURS I HAVE MANAGED TO CREATE A POSSIBLE SOLUTION, maybe not a solution an architect would have chosen to do from scratch, BUT A PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE SOLUTION.
AND I PLAN TO, SOME DAY, MAKE THIS IN 3D TO SEE IF I'M FUCKING RIGHT OR JUST REALLY REALLY TIRED AFTER SQUEEZING MY BRAIN FOR 4 FUCKING HOURS TO DO THIS SHIT.

sometimes I worry if I've accidentally slipped into headcanons around stucky b/c the majority of the the fanon is so different and overwhelming sometimes but then someone shares the scripts to the movies and remember my "headcanons" are actual canon and I've just been forgetting how layered and deep devastating these two are and I'm not making it up omfg
Bucky was Steve's shield and savior the whole time keeping him safe he faced the brutality of war and tried to protect him from it and was willing to die to keep Steve rogers safe and faced indescribable horrors enslaved in his own mind for it, & Steve is pained in his soul for failing to return the favor and protect his hero in return and now Bucky Barnes is named as a face of evil while everyone praises Captain America and it feels so wrong to Steve and he throws his whole life into doing right by Bucky because he is his home he was the first hero and the history books will never give Buck his due. I am inconsolable T.T
MCU was cooking when they were first writing their story. Marvel needs to stop being afraid of stucky and get back to their roots they had such gold at the heart of their story it was like divine intervention how hard they went at the beginning
one of my fav bits of Steve&Bucky Lore that isn’t explicitly shown in the movie is that bucky isn’t only steve’s protector before the war, he’s also the first one who actually taught steve how to defend himself. steve’s motivation to stand up to bullies is completely his own but in the first vengeance comic (the tfa prequel) bucky, upon realizing steve is not going to give up on enlisting, decides that since he can’t persuade steve to stay out of it, he’s going to make sure he at least knows the basics of protecting himself. they go to bucky’s boxing gym together and bucky gives him lessons on how to fight, stressing the importance of steve focusing his tactics on speed and agility because the people he’ll be going up against are going to be bigger, but not necessarily dumb. he has a whole speech that sort of ties into what erskine says about steve being the little guy— and even when steve takes the serum and gets bigger and stronger, you can tell that he uses what bucky taught him. bucky didn’t stop protecting steve when they were apart. he did his best to prepare him to fight despite being frustrated by how steve was trying to throw himself headfirst into battle and i think that speaks to how much they understand each other. bucky knew steve was too stubborn to stay out of it and steve knew bucky would never let the matter go without doing his best to help. even when they weren’t necessarily on the same side of an argument, they were still a team, and that’s something that has never changed.

after Eddie graduates he still wants to play dnd so Steve let’s them play in his house and the kids are so excited because maybe this way they can get Steve to play?
he doesn’t, but he watches and that’s something right? Except it isn’t because he keeps humming and snorting and he fucking giggles at one point when they’re deciding how to fight the big bad
they slowly realize that it’s because Eddie tells Steve his plans for the campaign, so Steve is sitting there laughing because he knows what will happen and oh my god this is so much worse than Eddie ever was on his own because now he’ll give Steve these looks and Steve will smile or raise an eyebrow or something and there’s no pattern to what happens after so they can’t even brace themselves, and yeah they should have kept them apart this is a nightmare

I keep on seeing these edits of Steve Harrington with that song, idk it's name but is like 'I just meet my dad in 1985' or smth like that and now I lowkey want a fic where this dude's kid somehow time travels and actually meets his dad in 1985. At this point I don't even care about the ship, I just want some random kid to show up one day, look at Steve and be like 'Fuck. Dad???'
Just imagine the comedy. But also the drama if it's either Nancy's kid or if Eddie's their other father- cuz I think by 1985 Nancy and Steve broke up already??? And she's dating Jonathan??? Gold. And they didn't even got to interact with Eddie yet so everyone is gonna be like 'Eddie??? The Munson kid???'

people will see two characters who are good friends ... best friends even ...live in each others pockets ... are incredibly important to each other and a really lovely and sweet and very simple example of friendship being important and fulfilling and meaningful and beautiful and not "just" friendship because there is no such thing... and then they will turn around and they haven't even finished the previous sentence before being like Oh but if this one wasn't a lesbian she would be in love with her male best friend and vice versa. obviously. or he has feelings for her but he "let them go" because she's a lesbian if she wasn't though they would date. in fact if this was a magical world where he was a girl all along they would be in love because all that stuff i said about friendship and importance was actually just words ?!
and like beyond the sheer lesbophobia and sheer CRUELTY for him to even consider either of them in that light on a regular basis i would honestly prefer people own the fuck up to what they're apparently trying to say here and fully commit to going "No, i DON'T actually think friendship that stays platonic and that factor of it will NEVER change can be equally important or MORE SO as other kinds of relationships and in fact i don't think the very idea exists i was just saying all that stuff about platonic nonromantic soulmates to just say it". right before the apparent mission statement of so many that is "if a lesbian is friends with a man i think her sexuality is getting in the way in one way or another". i wish you people just literally got your phones taken away and a parental lock put in place.

Yes headcanons of a character being awesome at cooking are great, but I seriously need more of them just absolutely SUCKING at cooking. I mean accidentally setting their hair on fire, drinking spoiled milk straight from the crate, mixing together the recipes for bœuf bourguignon and lemon drizzle cake, having seven alarms at the same time, shouting screaming on the floor, missing half the ingredients and using the weirdest alternatives kind-of-bad. Sure, stress bakers and incredible cooks are fun -but I am BEGGING for the people that cannot boil an egg for the life of them-.

I have this stupid idea that Bucky knew that “old Steve” wasnt his Steve because of the color of his eyes. And he just… got tired of it all and just went with the motion.
Because he cant have anything good, right?
“He wasn’t Steve, Sam”
“What do you mean? Oh… Do you mean your Steve, because of….?”
“No, I mean that THAT PERSON wasn’t Steve, his eyes were too blue, too perfect”
“Well yeah, Steve had blue eyes Bucky. I don’t understand”
“He had some green in them too, the eyes of that person were just blue, nothing more”

In my head the Byers waited for Billy to recover after Starcourt and he hitched a ride to California with them. He calls Max every week to catch up and Max pretends everything is fine with just her and her mom.
Finally Billy's been worried and saves for a plane ticket and escorts Will and El to Hawkins (as the only adult available because Joyce has a sudden "conference", Jonathan and Argyle have work).
He joins the gang and is super protective of the kids, esp Max, Will and El. Billy and Steve have the babysitting duty while Robin and Nancy investigate. He basically becomes the gang's essential member and the best big brother ever, and keeps Max, Will, El and Lucas while he guves the custody of Dustin and Mike to Steve and Eddie bc they piss him off the most lol.
Maybe he's more responsible, calmer, but still in that asshole way of his and he's more tan and his curls more bleached, and lips cherry red because he bites at them a lot bc he tries to quit smoking. And maybe Steve is helpless in the face of all that Malibu Barbie and his new-found bisexuality that he dives head first into a hopeless crush. He tries his posturing and his "flirting" methods that always worked for him but don't work on Billy and the entire season is him being hopeless and pissing Billy off until episode at Lover's Lake when Billy, scared of the Upside Down from all it did to him, dives straight into the water after Steve and saves him from the demo-bats and says something sweet that has Steve's hopes rising. And from then on they just flirt constantly and are being their authentic selves and slowly falling in love.
Also they rescue Chrissy and she's alive and only slightly traumatised.
