“Do you have a shirt I can borrow?” You ask.

You lean against the wall waiting for him to respond. Dongju lets out a small laugh through the phone.

“Hello to you too,” he teases, “yeah, where are you?” He asks letting out a sigh.

“In the hall,” you respond with a laugh of your own.

You look towards the door still holding the large cut in the side of your shirt closed. Dongju opens the door turning towards the side smiling when he sees you.

“Dongmyeong told me he wasn’t home when I called,” you say.

You push yourself off of the wall putting your phone down by your side. Dongju shakes his head letting out a soft sigh stepping to the side so you can enter the room.

“You’re calling Dongmyeong first, are you sure I’m your best friend?” He asks, “who do you like better me or Dongmyeong?”

“You of course,” you say quickly.

“Would you say the same thing to Dongmyeong?” He inquires.

He follows behind you until he reaches his room door opening it and stepping inside. He picks up hoodie handing it to you, you thank him, slipping it on over your ripped shirt.

“I probably would,” you admit with a laugh, “Dongmyeong’s never asked though,” you remind, “and he probably wouldn’t.”

“How’d you cut your shirt,” he inquires.

“Are you going to keep questioning me?” You say with a sigh.

You shrug unsure of how the shirt got ripped, but you figure it got caught on an edge at work.

“Thank you, I’ll bring it back tomorrow, I just didn’t want to walk home with my shirt ripped like that,” you explain.

He hums sitting on the edge of his bed. You wave to him before leaving the room and heading back towards the front to leave.

 Dongju was a regular boy from the countryside. Hardworking, generous, kind, peaceful and devoted to his faith in God, the good and bad, and the afterlife. Since he was a little boy, he wanted to work for the church, and not because of money or prestige. He just wanted to help people and lead them to be better. Because he believed everyone is kind in their true nature.  His parents were intensely proud when he got accepted to the theology school as a common farmer child, but they said he has unique qualities and determination to be part of God's servants.

 Soon, he didn't know why, but Dongju started to find interest at the more of a dark spectrum of his faith. It didn't mean he wanted to become a sinner. He just became captured by all the dark myths surrounding him, and the fascination of the other side of the coin.  Exorcism fascinated him the moment he got to know about it, and even though it was hard, sometimes even sad or disgusting to look at what was happening, he didn't give up.

  Soon he became very good at his job of casting out demons off from bodies of innocent people. Until one time...

 The moon was in the first quarter that night when Dongju arrived in a small village on the Han River. He came on the request of the head of the village, who sent a letter asking for help for his supposedly possessed daughter. And it turned out it was the case.

 Dongju was next to her bed for the whole night, trying to get the stubborn evil spirit out of the young girl's body. The demon was talking throught her. First just making fun of him, but as time was passing by, the demon used the girl's body to start touching Dongju in places that weren't appropriate.  As this started, Dongju took her hand in his and started saying out loud prayers, begging higher powers to kick the evil spirit out while intensely looking into the girl's eyes, making sure the demon can hear and see him clearly throught the young girl.

 The screams of agony were echoing throught the house as the method was finally working, and the painful process of the stubborn demon leaving without its permission started.  The girl's hand where Dongju was holding the rosary started burning, causing the smell of scorching human flesh to fill the room. Her eyes went up, the iris not even seen anymore, mouth opened in suffocating scream and the body trembling in an inhuman manner.

 "Crux sancta sit mihi lux, not draco sit mihi dux..." that was the beginning of the prayer Dongju was repeating.  "Vade retro satana, Nunquam suade mihi vana..." he continued even throught the screams and the girl biting his arm, piercing his skin and little creek of blood were falling down the rosary and then to the floor.  "Sunt mala quae libas, Ipse venena bibas." he finished with the last part saying that what they are offering is not wanted and the entity should drink their own venom.

 As he looked the last time deep in girl's eyes, he fell into a vision.

 He suddenly saw the face of a woman. The woman had white eyes and a smirk playing on her red lips.  Her voice resonated in his mind like an echo, "You think you this ends here?" she chuckled, "We'll meet soon... Son Dongju." and that was the moment the illusion in his mind fell apart, and he came back to reality, kneeling next to the bed holding the burned girl's hand, bleeding himself.

 After that, everything went smooth like usually. Dongju was happy that the family gave him some little money and cooked dinner. Yes, he was starving, and yes, he was in need of money also.  He was one of the best exorcists, but the church distanced themselves from him a long ago when he didn't agree to scam people out of money even when the humans around them wasn't possessed, just ill.

 Since then he was travelling, trying to earn money and then sending them to his parents because their business wasn't going really well and they were both ill.

 He thanked the family, took his things and probably an hour before sunrise, he got on his journey back home. As he was passing a church that was in the same village, he decided to go in, pray for a while, and think about the vision he got.

 As he opened the heavy wooden door, the cold air and smell of myrrh hit his senses. It was familiar and felt safe. Nothing bad could happen in this saint place.  He got on his knees in front of the altar, connected his hands, closed his eyes and started praying, thanking the higher power that he could save the young girl this night.

 "Well, well, well... who we got here, huh? Isn't it the same punk who forced me out of that body and interrupted my fun time?" suddenly a smooth women voice echoed through the church.  Dongju's eyes immediately opened he stood up and quickly looked for the source of the dangerously seductive voice.

 He froze to the ground as he saw an actual demon for the first time in front of him. How did he know? Well, it was more than obvious.  Her eyes purely white, giving no clue of actual living being inside. Her raven black hair was falling to her thighs, and her ashy skin was looking too unhealthy for blood even pulsating underneath. Her sharp nails painted in same black colour as her plump lips.

 Dongju immediately squeezed his rosary, "How did you get here? This is a sacred place!" he shouted at her not exactly sure what he should do since he was never in such a situation before.  "Sacred? Here? Ha! Let me laugh. This place was never even consecrated, my dear. Why you think this place has the most possession cases, huh?" she chuckled and smirked, looking at his handsome being up and down.

 Dongju just gulped but didn't say anything. She rolled her eyes even though he couldn't see, because of the white colour.  "Look, I don't want to hurt you," she started slowly walking 'down the aisle' to him, but he immediately showed the rosary up, trying to protect himself in panic.  "Woah, Woah... slow down, baby boy. I said I don't want to hurt you." she said stopping a couple of meter in front of him.

 "Then what do you want?" he asked.  "I wanna work with you. As simple as that." she smiled.  "W-what?" he was confused now.  "You know... I would possess someone's body, and you will easily get 'rid of me' and get the reward, which we would spread in half. Good plan, right?" she leaned her head to the side as if it was the most normal thing happening.

 Dongju was slowly going crazy. This wasn't real, right?  "No... this... you.." he pointed at the female demon, " you are not real. This is just a dream, or I'm too tired, and it is happening just in my head." he said taking a deep breath, trying to calm down.

 "Oh, it is very much real, baby boy." she walked to him, "Should I show you how much?" she whispered with a smirk.  Dongju at that moment put the rosary at the side of her neck, making the demon scream in pain and walk back two steps.  

 "Ouch! That hurt, you know?!" she held the place when he burned her ashy skin a bit.

 "No, you are not real. I'm just hallucinating. I saw you before when I was helping that girl, it is just my imagination." he was trying to lie to himself again because he was a little scared now.

 "It was me, you idiot!" she sighed in annoyance. "Ok, I'll help you to believe. And because you interrupted my fun in that human's body, you can see it as a punishment," she said with a smirk on her face.  In a matter of one second, she was standing behind Dongju and hilding him under the neck. That was the moment the young exorcist finally accepted that this is real, and a real demon is going to kill him.

 "Oh, no, no, no. I won't kill you," she said.  "Y-you know how to read my mind?" he gulped as her long nails scratched his neck slightly.  "And not just that... don't worry your punishment will be pleasant, I promise," she whispered the last two words.

 The beautiful but freaky demon girl suddenly connected their bodies as close as possible, "Just relax and enjoy..." she smirked as she slowly pushed herself into his body, becoming part of him, possessing him.

 Dongju suddenly just heard her voice in his head. "Mmm, your body is strong and healthy." she giggled, "What a pretty young man we have here?" she chuckled and moved with his hand without him approving.  "Leave me alone!" he shouted in his mind.  He could see and feel everything throught his eyes and body but just couldn't control any of his body parts.

 "Let's have some fun since you ruined my last entertainment." she chuckled in his mind and sat his body down on the bench, the one right in front of an altar.  "Now let's show your Lord how he created you in his image." she giggled.

 Dongju's hands moved under her power and started buttoning down his dress shirt and pulling down his trousers slowly.  "What? NO! Let me go, you insane demon!" he whined in his mind.  "No. I have a weak spot for handsome cute humans, I wanna you to enjoy yourself." she chuckled again.

 She took down finally his underwear and here he was. Completely under demons control, naked in front of an altar.

 "Please, let me go. I..." he didn't even finish the sentence as his hand under your power took his bare member and started stroking up and down in slow teasing motions.  Dongju whined in his mind. It felt so bad, so embarrassing, so degrading, but the actual physical pleasure as his hand was going faster under the demon woman control was undeniable and liked the feeling even though he was disgusted by himself.

 "Your mind can try to stop me, but your body wants it so bad. I'm a very polite demon but no one interrupts my fun without consequences," she smirked when he finally moaned as she made him grip his already hard cock tighter.  "Maybe I'll let you have your fun with me later because I saw how you were looking at me, baby boy." she was having so much fun torturing the young man.

 "But now your consequences are that I'll make you cum right here, on the altar of your lord so he can see you clearly..."

you and him had been best friends since middle school. 

you had a crush on him when you first met. it lasted a long time. but during high school dongju had multiple partners, none of them being you. so you gave up. you were still best friends, of course, nothing could change that... or so you thought. 

in college, you finally found a lover. his name is youngjo, but his friends call him ravn. dongju was happy for you, as any best friend would be. but.. ever since you and youngjo got together he felt like you forgot about him. youngjo was your first serious relationship since high school, so of course you wanted to spend time with him. but you failed to notice your neglect to your best friend. 

why was he feeling an ache in his chest when he saw youngjo kiss your cheek or move a bit of hair out of your face? 

why did he feel like wanting to be swallowed whole when he saw you kiss for the first time? 

he had no idea what was going on. he never felt this way with his past partners... he just brushed it off as wanting to protect his best friend. 

he confided in his twin, who was also close to you. 

“why am i feeling this way?” 

“i don’t know, why are you feeling this way?” 

pause. 

then it hit him. 

fuck. i’m in love with my best friend. 

two years later, he’s walking you down the aisle at yours and youngjo’s wedding. the aching, the sadness, the loathing never went away. 

he realized too late that he wanted you, and always had. you were the first and last person he ever loved, and he doubt he’d ever love another like you. 

he tried. he had many dates, flings, even friends with benefits, but he’d only retreat to your apartment the next morning, in a hurry to get away from them. he always wanted to run to you. but he couldn’t anymore.

Hi, thanks for requesting! I really hope you enjoy this scenario I came up with, it kinda came out of nowhere! 😂

Dongju had been watching you intently, infuriated by the way you laughed at Hwanwoong’s jokes. I mean, you’re married for goodness sake! You shouldn’t be testing his patience like this just because you’re bored and want to see how far you can go before he does something about it.

You weren’t oblivious to the daggers being thrown your way by Dongju. In fact, it was exactly what you were hoping for. You want nothing more than to rile him up, payback for his cold attitude this morning.

It’s not like you had done anything to warrant his snarky attitude, he’d just woken up in a bad mood and you’re not gonna let him get away with it. So you decided to do the one thing that will make him mad without fail; flirting with one of his friends in front of him.

Your body tenses when you feel a gentle hand place on your waist from behind you, hot breath making goosebumps appear in the crook of your neck from where Dongju’s lips ghost your skin.

“I think I’m gonna go...” Hwanwoong suddenly stands from the sofa, his eyes wide as he backs out of the room to leave you both alone. He could sense the change in atmosphere when Dongju joined you on the sofa and he doesn’t want to bare whitness to anything that is about to happen.

“Want to explain what you were doing?” Dongju’s tone is condescending, filled with venom and danger as his hand drags its way up from your waist at an excruciatingly slow pace.

“You have eyes don’t you?” You compose yourself, gulping down the nerves that make their way to the surface and hiding them before your husband can take notice of how flustered he makes you.

“You’re right, I do.” You can feel his smirk on your neck, slowly dragging his lips up towards your ear. “And I didn’t like what I saw...” He whispers, letting a dry laugh escape his lips when you shudder.

You don’t know what to do next, your body frozen in place with Dongju’s pressed up behind you. He’s so close you can feel his every movement. The air thick with a mix of menace and amusement.

“Did you really think you could get away with flirting in front of me?” His voice his a little louder now as he twists you around in his hold so you face him. He grins when you finally make eye contact with him, watching as your mouth opens and closes repeatedly in a loss for words.

“Answer me.” He encourages, placing his hand under your chin to tilt your head up. He’s in full control of this situation and you know it. And there’s no need for him to shout or accuse, his calmness sending the same amount of fear into your body. You’re not even going to attempt to fight him back as you see the darkness in his eyes. You know it’s not worth digging the hole you’ve dug for yourself any deeper.

“I was just mad.” You mumble, though the close proximity between you enables Dongju to hear you loud and clear.

“Can you tell me why you were mad?” He pushes for more from you as he draws your face in closer to his, inch by inch.

“You were so cold to me this morning... I just wanted your attention.” Satisfied with your answer Dongju let’s go of the firm grip on your chin in favour of caressing your cheek.

“And you thought making me jealous was the right solution, rather than just talking to me about it.” He states, watching you carefully as he waits for confirmation to his assertion.

“Yes.” You breathlessly respond. The tension between you making its way to your head and clouding your mind in a dizzying haze. The only thing you can concentrate on his the light brushing of his thumb across your cheek as you become impatient in waiting for him to do something, anything.

You whine when Dongju pulls away, letting go of his hold on you before making his way back to where he was sat previously.

“Where are you going?” You shoot him puppy eyes, desperate to get him back so you can have all his attention.

“Bad girls don’t get what they want.” Dongju responds without even casting you a glance. It’s obvious you’re desperate for his attention and, as he sits on his phone, he knows that not giving into that is all the punishment he needs to give.

Pairing: Son Dongju/Xion x Reader WC:1.2K Warning: Mentions of blood, mentions of death,  Genre: Angst, Soulmate AU, Dark Fantasy Prompt:  After death, you become your soulmate’s guardian angel (may require going back in time, or not).

AN: Sooo this is set in the same universe as Come Back Home, and To Be or Not To Be, obviously with my own little twists. I am absolutely obsessed with the universe they created and how it seemed like they really did do at least a little research about the God Helios before sticking him into their lore. Also there is a little bit of jumping around in time sooo yeah.

It was hard seeing him like this.

Soot and blood staining his hands as he fought against impossible odds. The physical embodiment of the darkness that was trying to take control of him, the darkness that picked at his soul. 

It broke your heart.

“You need to rest Dongju.” You muttered, making your way towards his sitting position. Your arms gently wound their way around his neck as you rested your head on his shoulder, trying your best to provide some comfort to him even though he refused to look at you.

“I don’t need rest. We need to get out of here, until we do...I can’t rest. The others need me.” He explained. For a moment, it almost looked like he was reaching to lay a stained hand on your arm before dropping the limb. Remembering in disgust what he was, and what his hands had done. He never wanted to taint you as he and the others had been. 

“If you don’t take the time to rest, then you’ll burn yourself out. The other Monarch’s wouldn’t want to see you that way.” You could see how much they cared for him, watching out and protecting him as he pushed himself past his limits just so that he could feel of use to them. 

For some reason, Dongju thought of himself as the weakest of the six. The most likely to cause their mission to fail, to get them trapped in the Night of Eternity. He was wrong, and you had watched the other Monarch’s try and convince him of this to no avail. 

Seeing him filled with this insecurity hurt, and brought a terrible pang of guilt to your gut. This was all your fault after all. If you had been stronger then just maybe, this wouldn’t have happened. 

“Doesn’t Helios have better things for you to do, than sending you to haunt me?” He muttered, you knew he didn’t mean what he said. He missed you just as you missed him, after all that is precisely why you were here. 

“You honestly believe that Helios could keep me from you?”

“My King, the...the citizens. They’re breaking down the gate, we need to get you out of here.” You exclaimed, rushing to shut the door behind you as you entered King Dongju’s large intricate study.

Across the room, his gaze remained on the window. You were unable to tell what he could possibly be thinking. In your worry you grabbed his arm, something that someone of your station shouldn’t have ever thought about doing, so that you could drag him to safety. In an attempt to protect him from the Mad God that wished for his suffering. 

He didn’t push you away, but he also did not budge. His strong frame stayed in place even as you tried to pull him away.

“Let them come. We were the ones who angered Helios after all, they’re just trying to protect themselves.” He muttered, his words halting your struggles. He looked so melancholy, as if he had almost been expecting this. As if he somehow knew that following the lead of King Youngjo would be the downfall of the six Monarchs. 

“Please...I can’t lose you Dongju.”

As if his name were some magic word, his attention finally turned to you, sorrow filled his eyes. Gently he reached out and placed his hand on the back of your head, using this to pull you into his chest. This wasn’t the first time he had held you in such a way, but it was certainly the first time he had done so outside of his private chambers. 

You felt tears welling in your eyes as your arms snaked around his waist, burying your face into his chest. It was a terrifying feeling, to know that this would most likely be your last moments with him. 

You should have known that there would be no happy ending.

“You shouldn’t be trying to help them, little lark. You wouldn’t want to have my anger directed towards you, now would you?”

Helios, the God of the Sun, and the reason for your current predicament. You kept your stare emotionless as your eyes met his ever radiant ones, it was odd that the Gods were supposed to be these beautiful creatures...yet this man was the ugliest you had ever seen, despite his beauty. 

“I apologize, your Grace, but with all due respect I was given permission by your sister Selene. After all, the land of eternal night is a realm under her protection.” You retorted. Thinking back on it, your old self would have never spoken back to a God, but finding yourself within the good graces of the Moon Goddess...you felt you had a bit more leeway now.

The God practically snarled at you, gripping your chin and forcing you to keep eye contact with him. 

“And those monsters are being punished by me. Not Selene. So if you keep giving them aid then I might just see fit to add to their punishment.” His words dripped with sweet honey as he attempted to keep his cool. But you could see in his golden eyes how much he wanted to strangle the life from your form, to rip the air from your lungs and toss your body for the Monarchs...and Dongju to see. Only the wrath of his sister seemed to stop him from completing this.

If only her wrath could hold him back forever.

“Please no, don’t. Y-you can’t.” You watched Dongju sob, holding your lifeless body in his arms. The monarch’s had succeeded in killing their former servants and saving the child of prophecy, but in the process you had given your life to protect both Dongju and the child. 

All a part of Helios’ plan, forcing the Kings to suffer once again. 

Dongju was beside himself, wails of sorrow escaping his body as his elongated nails dug into the cold skin of your arms. As if the pain would wake you up once more. The others looked on, sharing in their youngest’s sadness. They knew what you meant to Dongju, and they knew that your passing would be difficult for him. 

You watched from afar, no longer connected to your mortal form and unable to be seen by the ones you had been so desperate to protect. It was difficult to watch, but you would not turn away. After all, just being allowed to stay among the mortal realm was something that your dear friend the Goddess Selene had bargained for with not only Thanatos, the God of Death, but Aphroditie, the Goddess of Love, as well. 

They had blessed you, a love so pure and so selfless that Aphroditie had called the two of you Soulmate. Giving you one final gift, that you would be able to stay with Dongju as his guardian even in death. To which Thanatos agreed, though not without some persuasion and bribing.  

This was your existence now, watching over Dongju as he mourned your loss and moved on.

Watching and he and the other Monarchs sealed themselves away alongside their former servants, where you followed. 

The Night of Eternity. Where you would guard the slumbering Kings...until Helios woke them once again.

→ it’s been quite a bit of time since the last time you spent time with dongju like this.

→ a/n: to the anon who requested, i’m sorry this took time to get out;; it was supposed to be done yesterday but i lacked motivation TT i was debating on what to write, as this wasn’t what i originally planned, as i think i might be making that into a mini drabble set series? so i apologise if this isn't what you expected;;; 

online schooling has commenced for me, so it might take a bit of more time to work on the ravn college au drabble, but it is planned to be written next! thank you for requesting and i hope you’re fine with wait for the other half of your request 💚

The crisp breeze strokes your cheeks as you’re making yourself comfortable on one of the metallic chairs situated outside the brightly lit store, setting down various food products on the circular table in front of you. You can hear the sharp sound of the legs of a chair scraping against stone, your companion entering into your line of sight as they breathe vapour in the cold air and mirror your actions.

There’s a smile decorating your face, your eager fingers immediately leaping for one of the canned beverages as a metallic snap rings in the air and a reinvigorating rush floods your mouth. A refreshed sigh is released from your throat and you place the drink back down, reaching out for another one of the items scattered before you. “This is just what I needed after finally completing that tedious assignment.”

Dongju, who sits across you, flashes you a small smile and does a little cheer. “You did well~” he says, following his compliment with soft—and fluffy due to his sweater-paws—claps. “Now we can celebrate with food.” With a radiance shimmering in his eyes, he searches for his own snack out of the assortments laid out on the table to indulge in.

You giggle endearingly at his excitement and bob your head in agreement, enveloped by a coat of ease. “Thank you again for paying for everything. You really didn’t have to.” Fingers fumbling with the packet trapped in your hands, it takes quite a few tugs to finally split it apart but once the flavour has dissolved in your mouth the struggle is history and you’re peacefully munching on more of the chips.

“Don’t worry about that,” he stubbornly reassures, “you worked hard, so you deserve this.” His eyes aren’t trained on you but the colorful package within his grasp as he focuses to rip it open. You know how this is only a distraction so he doesn’t get swept up in the waves of doubt and contrition that could sometimes creep over him. “I couldn’t do much for you, so I want to make up for that with this even though it’s not really anything.”

“Nonsense. What are you going on about, Dongju?” Your lips dip into a frown as you set your half-eaten snack down and slide your hand gently into his. You lace your fingers together as they snuggly connect, fitting as if they are two perfect halves. “Just with you there beside me is more than enough, as cheesy as that sounds.” Hums flow peacefully past your lips, wafting in ripples, as you beam at him. “And besides, how does buying me drinks and food at the cafeteria when you didn’t have to equate to not doing much? You’ve been constantly taking care of me!”

He manages a shy smile at your heartfelt adulations, looking down from your dazzling smile. “Thank you...” it comes out as a timid whisper, fingers applying pressure to your hand. He can hear your endearing laughter soothing his ears, cooling the bashfulness warming his cheeks. The sound lingers and circulates within his chest as he watches you steal another sip of your drink, a look of pure satisfaction spreading across your visage.

“I should be sorry instead of not being able to spend time with you.” There’s a pout clenching your lips, dejection swimming in the pools of your (e/c) eyes as you sway your hands together side-to-side in a serene rhythm. “This is more than enough. I’m just glad I’m finally able to return to our little midnight dates like this.”

He silently coincides, a warm smile blooming on his soft features, as you both return to filling your stomachs with the goodies you’ve purchased, exchanging bursts of conversation here and there and sharing laughs.

Days with Dongju would often consist of trips like these, strolls around campus while admiring the scenery amidst the varying seasons or soft cuddle sessions in either yours or his dorm. Each moment spent with him was peaceful and sweet, full of loving whispering and comforting snuggling and a lot of playfulness. However, for the past month, you’ve been occupied with completing an important task for one of your classes which had limited the time you could spend with him. But with that out of the way now, you could now return to the little activities you always did with him.

You’re both exchanging bites and peacefully feeding each other. With a smile you have your chin cradled in your palms as you admire his beauty illuminated by the store’s light. You don’t understand how he can manage to look so adorable, so ethereal, whenever and wherever you saw him. He could be doing anything and you’d instantaneously be enchanted by his delicacy and fluidity when handling things (that is, unless you were to agitate him in some shape or form but he’s still cute like that).

Dongju looks up when your dreamy giggle brushes his ears, noticing your fixation on him. His head slants slightly to the side, but he allows himself to observe your wide grin for a while more. It’s difficult to not burst out into small laughter, finding your state lovable. “What’s wrong?” he asks when his voice decides to show itself, earning a questioning hum from you, “you’re staring at me.”

The only answer he receives after is of you curling your palms directly against his cheeks, greeting his skin with a sheet of coolness as you cup his face. “Your cheeks are all red,” you comment, a smile in your voice. “I’m trying to warm them up with my hands.”

“But your hands are cold as well?” He snickers in amusement, visage draped in a veil of amusement

“Oh? They are?” You laugh as well but don’t move to lift your hands away.

He, in turn, doesn’t pull away and instead shoots you a sweet smile. He softly takes hold of your hands, covering them with the sleeves of his sweater as he encases them within its snug wool. Peeling them off his countenance, he resumes to hug them together on the table between you both. “I’ll give you my own warmth this time. Be thankful~”

“Thank you, Dongju. I love you~” You quickly bounce forward to land a swift peck on his lip, which causes him to giggle out of shyness. 

You’re then exhaling, your breath materialising like fog toward the sky as you feel the winds begin to adopt a sharp blade that slices against your skin. “It is getting colder though. I think we should start heading back now,” you say with a hum before eliciting a noise of realisation. “You don’t have classes tomorrow morning, right?”

“Nope~”

“You know what that means? We can cuddle ‘till noon!”

He finds himself smiling at your excited tone, but he’s just as set on the idea as you are. His eyes are trailing your form that springs to your feet, your hands dancing on the table as you’re beginning to gather the mess to discard. You’re quickly shooting him a look, one that urges him to aid you, which he does.

Afterwards, you’re both ambling back to his dorm. You have your arms around him, a skip in your step. He’s wearing a smile, glancing fondly at you out of his peripheral. It’s chilly but it doesn’t feel like it when you’re in close proximity with him and he can sense your warmth nuzzling into his side. It’s beginning to pacify him into a state of drowsiness and he can’t wait until he’s able to embrace you tightly to his chest and take in your existence and the fluttering of your heart, having missed you dearly as well.

[Oneus] Reaction to you being cuddly when you’re tired

Ravn:

He already thinks you’re adorable as you are, but when you sleepily crawl into bed with him and wrap your arms around his body tightly to put your head on his chest he won’t know what to do with you for a few moments. He can’t exactly coo over you here and freak out, so he’ll try to stay calm on the outside and hug you back while his fast heartbeat is killing him from the inside. Even as your relationship progresses and you keep being super cuddly whenever it’s time to sleep he’ll never quite get used to you acting like that, but he will become calm enough to fall asleep with you (unlike the first time when he couldn’t sleep for a good three hours because you’re so close to him omg). Only on days when you’re especially affectionate you can see in his expression just how much you affect him, and you giggle because his heart just won’t beat at a normal pace. “Well, it’s your fault for making me this weak…” he’ll complain at your amusement, and you’ll take it as a motivation to get even closer to him.

Seoho:

It hasn’t been long since you two started dating, but you’re trying to spend as much time together as possible due to his busy schedule. He’s watching something on his phone late at night, sitting on the couch, when you walk up to him, barely able to keep your eyes open. You let your body slump down next to him and fling your arms around him, burying your face in his neck. “Huh? What’s this, Y/N? Huh???” he’ll be super perplexed at first but will soon put his phone away. “Are you cold? Or do you just wanna be close to me?” he’ll ask, smiling at how cute you are. You’ll just yawn and nod your head, so Seoho takes off his sweater and lets you put it on. With sweater paws you’ll continue clinging to him, until he suddenly picks you up and carries you to the bedroom. “Seems like it’s time to sleep for someone,” he’ll remark, setting you down on your side of the bed and placing a gentle kiss on your forehead, before crawling under the blankets together with you and hugging you tightly from behind to put you to sleep with gentle kisses on your neck and shoulders.

Leedo:

The first time you two stay up late together and you’re gradually starting to get tired and at some point put your arms around him and your head on his chest he’d get super flustered. Stuttering he’d ask what you’re doing, awkward because he wouldn’t know where to put his hands, or what to do in general. But over time he’ll get used to you being super cuddly the more tired you get, and he’ll even appreciate being your personal pillow, because it makes him feel like he can protect you. By then he’ll willingly embrace you as you snuggle up to him, brushing through your hair mindlessly and holding you close, allowing you to fall asleep while listening to his soothing heartbeat and his deep voice that will talk and sometimes sing you to sleep. He’ll always make sure to stay up longer than you, because your face as you drift off to dreamland is just too cute to him, and looking at you like that, his heart swells and he will ask himself what he ever did to deserve having someone like you so close to him.

Keonhee:

He loves cuddles and affection and any kind of attention, so the nights when you come home exhausted and crash right into his arms are secretly his favorite. Whenever he knows you’ll have a long day, he’ll make sure to have food and a fun movie ready by the time you arrive at home. So you can share dinner, then he’ll send you off to take a shower (or you’ll even take it together uwu) and then you can let the day end in front of the TV, where he’ll let you sprawl out on top of him however you like. He loves having you so close to him, holding you tightly. He’ll start drawing mindless patterns on your skin or placing chaste kisses all over your face, receiving sleepy giggles from your side. He’ll make sure you’re comfortable and can relax, and if the tiredness takes the better of you and you fall asleep on top of him, somehow you’ll always wake up in your bed the next morning, still snuggled up closely to Keonhee.

Hwanwoong:

He’ll be absolutely smug about you letting your guard down as you’re very obviously trying far too hard to keep your eyes open during a late night conversation with him. “If you’re so tired we can keep talking tomorrow, baby,” he’ll tease you and pinch your cheek, to which you pout and slap away his hand with very little energy. You yawn and shake your head, then tug at his sleeve to signal that he should follow you, despite you being slightly annoyed with him. But honestly, you’re so tired that you couldn’t care less at the moment. He’ll chuckle and explain that he has to stay up a few more hours and practice, but you’re having none of it. “But cuddles…” you protest silently, and with a kiss on your cheek he’ll try to send you off to bed. However, you really want to fall asleep with him tonight, so you surprise him with a backhug, and surprised he is. There’s a visible blush on his cheeks, and he can’t stop his heart from suddenly racing because of your actions. Taking a deep breath, he’ll turn around in your embrace and return the hug. “Okay… then just for today, let’s go to sleep together.”

Xion:

He’d be just as cuddly when he’s tired and with a person who makes him feel at ease as you are, so cuddling each other to sleep is a frequent occurrence between the two of you. He loves holding you close when you’re both wrapped into a fluffy blanket in winter, warming each other. And even in summer he’ll love cuddling with you (unless you’re both dying from the heat, but even then he’ll at least want to hold your hand before falling asleep). He likes switching between being the big and the little spoon, depending on his mood. For example if he feels especially protective of you, he will hold you closely from behind and place gentle kisses in your nape and he can’t keep himself from smiling because you’re just that precious to him. But if he’s stressed or uneasy about something, he’ll appreciate you holding him, putting him to ease. He’ll whisper to you, just before drifting off to sleep, “Thank you, for being there for me.”

completely black cat with only one tiny white dot on his chest

looks cute, but is full of fury

hates other cats

and I mean he despises them

especially hates anyone who takes away your attention when he’d rather have it

passive-aggressive

usually he will stare at you and wait until you notice him if he wants your attention while you’re occupied with someone else

if you ignore him, he’ll make you (or the other person or animal) regret it

has peed on your mother’s shoes multiple times when she visited you

threw up in front of your dad and then walked away nonchalantly as if nothing happened

all because in his eyes, you spent too much time talking to them when he wanted to be fed or petted or played with

only trusts his owner

you’re the only person who is allowed to touch him whenever

though there are some exceptions of people who are around often so he got used to them and they’re allowed to touch his head or back for a short period of time

loves you more than anything

also loves being petted and brushed by you

hates the vet

will growl at the vet for about five seconds if they touch him until he jumps at them and attempts to scratch the poor vet’s eyes out

since then, he gets anaesthesia even for routine check-ups

likes sleeping next to your pillow with you so he can wake you up in the morning by putting his paw on your face

has never even scratched you on purpose ever (except when you’re playing with him and he gets too into it)

sometimes you see nothing but a pair of wide yellow eyes watching you in the dark in the middle of the night

usually sleeps curled up in a lil black furball, but sometimes he’ll lie around in really weird positions, with his head upside down and his fangs showing

very gentle purring, you can only hear and feel it when you let him curl up in your lap and fall asleep there

Seoho:

completely white fur, except for two black dots above his eyes that look like eyebrows and one black front paw

people will love him for his extraordinary looks, and he loves the attention

however, he doesn’t like to be touched much, especially if he doesn’t know you well

never bites and rarely scratches, usually he just runs away if he doesn’t like something

graceful when he walks, but is actually an idiot

falls off random objects frequently, thankfully he never gets hurt

sleeps in the weirdest positions - his rear legs stretched apart to expose his lower belly, and his torso twisted 180 degrees

snores and drools when sleeping

when he has an exciting dream, his left hind leg twitches

speaking of his belly: he hates having it touched and will whine at you and run away, hiding in some corner for the rest of the day if you try to pet him there

you never see him cleaning himself, but somehow he isn’t dirty

tbh most of the time he just sleeps

but sometimes he wakes up very hyperactive

pls be careful if you play with him then (which is recommended or he’ll use your walls as a cat tree), because chances are he’ll run into something or fall over from how excited he is

sometimes he really seems more like a dog than a cat tbh

bleps a lot

if you take a walk with him in your garden he’ll start digging holes at some point

loves the neighbors’ dog and totally wants to play with it - much to the joy of the dog

again, pls be careful if the dog is big, or this kitty might get himself crushed because he was too busy watching a butterfly instead of the huge dog lying down next to him

if he trusts you he will sometimes come lay in your lap to fall asleep there, and he’ll even enjoy getting his head petted then

but he will drool on you - like a lot

Leedo:

big, loud, annoying

looks like a majestic statue with his thick, long fur when he sits somewhere, completely still except for his slowly swaying tail

greets you loudly when you come home

is especially loud when his food bowl is empty

loves being picked up and will stare up at you and meow until you do so (he’s kinda heavy though)

loves sitting on top of open doors and balances surprisingly well despite his size

sometimes you hear doors loudly slamming shut - that’s when he jumped down and the door closed from the recoil

loves raw meat and will inhale his food if you give him some, but will take a lot longer to finish dry food

likes being scratched under the chin and behind his ears, doesn’t really care to be petted anywhere else, but never ever touch his tail

dislikes kids or overly excited people because in his past he had bad experiences with them

if you’re trying to approach him, always do so carefully, or crouch down and let him come to you, or he will hiss at you and run away

when you first adopted him, he hid away behind the couch for three whole days, and you had to throw him food or he wouldn’t have eaten

very shy around new people, but will get used to you and eventually come to trust you if you give him enough time

loves sleeping on whatever surface you’re trying to do things™

his favorite pastime is rolling around on your keyboard while you’re trying to write someskldfjökajgajq4930t2öjsdgj-asdgja

he also likes playing with the handle of cooking spoons or whatever other kitchen utensil you’re trying to use

like, whenever you get his box to take him there and you don’t catch him fast enough, he’ll have nyoomed to the farthest corner of your house in the blink of an eye, staring up from a hiding place where nobody can reach him

the only way to get him out of there is to lure him with his favorite food

eats everything and steals the weirdest food, like that one time you were cooking and he stole a tomato from you, having already eaten half of it by the time you could take it away from him - he threw up shortly after that on your carpet

he also likes to steal bread and various other vegetables, and one time you even caught him sticking his nose into a bowl of rice

he goes crazy over poultry and could probably eat a whole turkey within mere minutes, despite not even being half as big as the bird

whines and meows a lot

will wake you up every morning to demand food by meowing loudly and scratching your door

wanting to avoid more scratchmarks on the door, you decided to leave it open a while back

that’s when he woke you up by jumping onto your belly and then getting distracted and starting to play on top of you, claws out and teeth sharpened

since then you’re quite okay with the marks on your door...

has a talent for throwing up furballs in inconvenient places - behind the sofa, on the rug, next to your pillow, on the stove, etc.

but even though he’s weird af, he’s usually a calm kitty who loves sunbaths and belly-rubs more than anything

will come running to you, purring, asking to be petted most of the time when he’s awake

rubs his head and body against your legs with full force, you wouldn’t believe how much strength this lil kitty has

will also beg for food, even if he already had enough for a whole week

however you don’t need to be afraid of overfeeding him, because despite his habit of begging, he’s actually a very picky eater

he loves fish more than anything, and will rarely eat anything else

though he likes popcorn and other snacks that aren’t exactly healthy for cats

he once stole a whole bag of chips and by the time you could catch him, it tore apart and the chips were scattered all over your place

you’re not sure if he ate any of them, but you stressedly put them away in a hurry while he was watching you, purring and treading the ground underneath him

he likes walking on the top shelves in your home, skillfully avoiding any obstacle and careful not to throw anything off

the only time things fall because of him is when he’s pissed about something

then you might come home from an exhausting day and find decorations lying in front of the shelves they’re supposed to be standing on

however, as if nothing happened he will come to greet you, purring, swaying the very end of his tail in a friendly manner

now you better not be tricked by his friendliness, because if you don’t find the reason why he was pissed in the first place and fix it, he will repeat the same procedure the next day

Xion:

a grey cat with really short fur

friendly and very behaved

like he never protest-pees anywhere and isn’t picky about his food, but knows what’s his and what’s his owner’s

will warn you if he doesn’t like being touched atm and will only scratch or bite if you ignore his warnings

bonds well with other cats, dogs, and likes to be around humans too

prefers staying at home and sleeping over strolling through the neighborhood

really he’s the perfect cat and pretty normal

loves sleeping in the dryer when the freshly dried clothes are still inside and warm (but won’t get a lot of hair on them since his fur is so short)

also loves sleeping in your bed, but will move aside when you signal him that you want to sleep

in general he loves warm places and would kill for sunbaths

will sprawl out on the floor when he finds a sunny spot and sleep there

likes watching TV and will try to catch any bird that appears on screen

he’s also very fascinated about fish, and will try to catch those as well if you have an aquarium

but he usually doesn’t have his claws out and will just play with them

if you give him an angry look he’ll immediately get down though and come running to you to rub your legs as a way to apologize

you can teach him simple tricks if you give him fish-flavored snacks as a reward

if you have a fly in your home he will try to catch it, but usually fail because he isn’t really a skilled hunter, as he barely gets any serious practice

doesn’t really like playing much, but sometimes he needs to let out his energy

that’s when he starts playing with your clothes, especially if you’re wearing something baggy or something that has strings or the like attached

but usually you’ll just see him sleeping or chilling somewhere

cleans himself very thoroughly and the procedure will usually take him an hour or more a day

[Oneus] Reaction to you taking care of them when they’re sick

Ravn:

He absolutely wouldn’t want you to burden yourself with taking care of him, so usually when he’s sick he’ll just brush it off, say he has everything under control and then suffer in silence. And you usually let it be, because you know it pains him more to see you stressed because of him than if he has to deal with a cold on his own. However, when it’s more than just a cold and he’s actually supposed to stay in bed and rest, you can convince him to let you take care of him, bring him medicine, and cook food for him. And even though you know how against it he is, he’ll be thankful to the bottom of his heart that you’re making it a little easier for him. 

“You’re always so busy, but still you find the time to take care of me,” he tells you one night, taking your hand into his and placing a soft kiss on the back of it. “I’m thankful to have you by my side.”

Seoho:

He loves having you take care of him, but that doesn’t mean he won’t feel a tiny bit bad about burdening you. However, you know he would do the same for you if you got sick, so you make sure to nurse him back to health properly. He’ll just keep watching you all day with smile-y eyes, thanking you a thousand times for every little thing you do, until you just sigh and tell him to stop, and that it’s not that big of a deal.

“It is to me, Y/N,” he says, getting up and hugging you tightly. “You don’t have to do this, still you put in your 110%. Thank you.” He manages to kiss your forehead before you yell at him that he shouldn’t get out of bed yet and to lie back down. Unable to hide the heavy blush on your cheeks, you put the blanket over his body and then storm off to make him some more tea.

Leedo:

Whenever he gets sick, he makes sure to give himself and his body a break. He knows he can’t afford to be missing from work for long, so he usually takes care of it when he feels the first symptoms. And you want to help keep him as healthy as he can be, even though he tells you it’s alright and that you don’t have to worry about him. Still, deep inside he’s thankful that there’s someone by his side who does his chores or cooks for him when he needs all the time to rest that he can get.

“You’re too good to me, really,” he tells you when you’re sitting beside him, watching a movie together in the evening. “Thank you for helping me out.”

“That’s what I’m here for,” you respond, intertwining your fingers with his, and he kisses your cheek, then leans his head on your shoulder, soon dozing off next to you.

Keonhee:

This boy will be dying, even if he just has a minor cold. And of course the only way to stop his whining is if you baby him a little. You know it’s nothing serious, so you tease him about needing so much attention when he’s a bit sick, but still you would never even think about not helping him out.

That’s until he gets seriously bedridden for a few days and you actually worry about him. This time it’s him who keeps telling you that he’ll be fine, because he can easily tell you’re lowkey freaking out over his condition. That puts a lot of pressure on you to help him with just about everything, and when you won’t even let him walk to the bathroom by himself, he stops you and hugs you tightly. “Y/N, it’s okay. I know I always make a big fuss when I’m sick, but I’m not dying, okay?” he tries to calm you down, but that only helps so much.

After getting back to a healthy condition he will surprise you with a bunch of flowers and some sweets to thank you, but also to apologize for making you worry that much.

Hwanwoong:

When he’s sick, he’s really absolutely totally sick. Even he knows that it’s about time he should take a break, because he’s feeling all kinds of bad and dizzy. He isn’t afraid to rely on you a bit, so he asks you if you could help him out a little while he’s at home trying to recover as fast as possible, or if you could escort him to the doctor. And of course you say yes, because he’d do the same for you and you want each other to always be able to trust the other to be there for each other. It’s natural to the both of you to help each other out, but just because of that he won’t be any less thankful. 

So as soon as he’s healthy again, he’ll prepare some kind of surprise for you to say thank you - be it a box of chocolates or a movie night together with some dinner you made together.

Xion:

Much like Youngjo he will try to convince you that he’s fine even without your help. But when you convince him to take at least one day off where you can look after him, he’ll quickly enjoy being babied a little. He feels protected when you make food for him and even feed him, or when you keep asking if he’s feeling alright or if he needs anything. You make sure he takes his medicine and eats enough despite his low appetite, and at the end of the day you usually let him fall asleep on your chest. 

Unfortunately at one point you too fall asleep before you can change your position, so as soon as he’s healthy again, you’re the one who needs to stay in bed because you’re sick. But you don’t have to worry about that, after all he’ll take care of you just as well as you did for him.
