Production of Knuckles mini-series officially underway in London, UK

Sonic Movie director Jeff Fowler posted a new image on social media today, indicating that production of the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie mini-series is underway.

Variety reported that Adam Pally, Kid Cudi, Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann and Tika Sumpter will star in the series. Idris Elba will return to voice Knuckles.

In the series, Knuckles the Echidna "agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior,".

It takes place between Sonic 2 and the third film, which is slated to hit theaters in December 2024.

No word on a release date for the mini-series as of yet, but it is expected to debut on the Paramount Plus streaming service.

I have like...a headcanon(?) That Amy in the third Sonic movie carries around a purse/satchel which acts as a pocket dimension for her stuff and yes, her hammer too.

So at some point she turns to Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and is like:

"Yall wanna see something REALLY cool😏???"

And as the boys wait in anticipation...

Mario movie - mediocre critic reception, with the audience heavily blinded by its distractingly broad appeal to realize it has literally nothing interesting accompanying it

Sonic movies - consistently solid critic AND audience reception thanks to its visual appeal, interesting narratives, and the crew's genuine devotion and care to the franchise in both films

Both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish were awarded "Best Family Film" at 30th Movieguide Awards, an annual ceremony dedicated to Christian family values, in an apparent tie.

Joined alongside Puss in Boots producer Mark Swift and director Joel Crawford, Tails voicer Colleen O'Shaughnessey accepted the shared award on behalf of the Sonic movie team.

“Such an honor to accept this award on behalf of the entire Sonic 2 family and to share it with Puss in Boots! Thank you, Movieguide!”

The hedgehog's third film is scheduled for a 2024 release.

Sonic 3 story idea + Rouge the bat backstory idea:

Rouge is an kid who ran away from her family or is an orphan and lives on the street. She is pretty street smart and is know as a big thief. Like catwoman in Gotham. Robotnik found her using the rings as portals to her world and heard she was a good thief. He and her want to steal the chaos emeralds.

Shadow the hedgehog finally awakens. He is also after the chaos emeralds to destroy humanity. So shadow and Robotnik with rouge they are after Sonic knuckles and tails. 3 versus 3 so it’s fair game.

Epic battle begins. A lot of memories start appearing in shadows mind and he is confused on which side he is on. Then everything clears up. Rouge and shadow is on the good side now.

Robotnik is finding out about Gerald Robotnik plan to kill humanity with the space station. I forgo to mention it. It will be basically the story of sonic adventure 2. Even Robotnik doesn’t want to destroy humanity.

They rescue humanity all together. Robotnik gave up on being evil. So Jim carrey is done playing Robotnik for good. Sad to see but that would be really satisfying
