time periods in human history according to tumblr:

Neolithic: also called "prehistory". This is where human history starts. Covers the time period from early hominids to the collapse of the roman empire. If you're an intellectual smart guy, you also know of "Antiquity", which is when they invented marble statues (hey did you know those were painted like theme park mascots?)

Middle ages, also called the medieval period. Lasted to roughly the industrial revolution. Kings and knights. Also witch hunts. The reformation? lots of wars, some only 30 years, some 100 years, that's crazy! Not colonialism tho, that's it's own thing.

Victorian era: This is the colonialism time! The USA is founded & everyone knows that's when history really begins. Lasted until approximately 1941

Modern era: starts with World War II and seems to be still ongoing idk

4. the va11halla ost. not only is it really good but theres something about it that just makes doing stuff easier. garoad's work in general is very good. i must play more games he's made music for

5. dungeon meshi. that manga is so good... i dont have the words for it. its world building and characters are amazing. and since its thursday, theres a new episode of the anime. nice to see it again, in a new way

ok 1. nope just comics and 2. this isn't directed at you bc you've asked very nicely and politely, but I still wanna address this: I get a lot of comments on comics like "i need a fic of this op" or "someone write this!!" -- and i understand it totally on small hc comics, but on bigger comics it just feels rlly dismissive lol. like why do ppl want me to write a fic abt smthn, there is a comic telling the story right there!!!!

ig i'm just tryna say it'd be nice if everyone accepted comics as a valid form of storytelling and didn't see them as inherently subpar to fics?

adam and lawrence standing opposite one another for the first time once they’ve both recovered enough and adam losing his mind a little ‘cause yeah, he’s seen lawrence, he’s stalked him, camera in hand and spent what felt like a lifetime chained up across the room from him, he’s had hours in his darkroom, music blaring as photo after photo of lawrence stares back at him, he’s been up close and personal as lawrence promised to come back, as adam begged him not to leave and he’s sat next to lawrence’s hospital bed during their joint recovery. he’s seen lawrence, sure. but only from a distance, only lying down. so when he’s suddenly stood a few feet in front of the guy? when lawrence moves closer, still, and adam realises that he has to tilt his head up to look at him? when he realises that lawrence has to bend a little when he wants to murmur something to adam, just low enough that no one else will hear? when lawrence comments on their height difference for the first time, teasing but not mean, well .. yeah. maybe adam realises he has a little thing for it. or whatever

Eddie does become quite famous for his music and that means he sometimes has to go to these mind numbing events where people will sneer at him until they recognize who he is, then they’ll suddenly pretend they’re old friends, they’ll ask for concert tickets and backstage passes

he mostly hates them but whenever Steve is able to come he’s so god damn excited. Steve’s parents used to drag him along to their business events and even though it’s different industries it’s all the same. Steve knows these crowds, he grew up with them and they bring out the bitchiest upper middle class version of him, a Steve who has passive aggression and faux politeness down to an art

Eddie will watch on in delighted awe as his husband, all while smiling mildly and sipping wine, destroys people. just cuts into them and also making everything sound nice, innocuous. Most of them don’t even realize it’s happening they just suddenly find themselves gaping, searching for words, as they’re backed into a corner

and Steve will look at them, tilt his head and wait them out, but before they get the chance to backtrack he’ll hum, shrug and walk away, Eddie on his heel asking if he wants to get out of there, like right now? or maybe find a bathroom?
