Girl while I agree with you about people being able to learn, grow and move on from their past actions can we all stop treating dream like he’s the first and only person to have ever been raised in a conservative place and sheltered and use that as a reasoning for his past actions 🙄 millions of people are raised that way (so many even more sheltered and more conservative) who haven’t made kkk edits to then pretend they didn’t to then apologise when it was obvious it had happened and couldn’t be excused. He should absolutely be allowed to move on from that having apologised but being all 🥺 but he was so lonely on the internet and sheltered and conservative he had no choice but to make a joke out of horrific generational racial abuse and trauma 🥺 ridiculous behaviour, it’d be more compelling if more people were able to just straight up admit yeah he’s done some gross shit but he’s apologised and clearly grown, good for him, instead of babying him as a way of justifying it

literally what the hell are you talking about i specifically said “not an excuse, but an important note” because it fucking is? its not babying bc it wasnt justification its nuance you idiot. you are putting words in my mouth and misconstruing what i said to fit whatever idea of what u wanted me to say. it’s important to understand where behaviours like that come from bc it gives perspective, not justification. its like when you have homophobic parents and you sit down and think abt where it stems from like maybe religion, culture, conditioning etc. it provides explanation, and while it doesnt explain away the behaviour it does allow a person to understand there is nuance there and it is not a surface level issue (not to say the gnf thing is “surface level” bc while it can be written off as gamer hoy edginess that still provides depth and understanding). and clearly u do not know me or what ive said but i have mentioned on this blog and in discord time and time again that dreams past is shitty but hes clearly changed and done a lot to change and grow so i dont care and im glad he exists as proof that its possible to change if given the resources and time to do so. dont accuse me of shit i didnt do or imply and make up stuff to rant abt weirdo
