i've been listening to we don't speak anymore (it's a spotify link, sorry non-spotify users) by @bearsintreesofficial since midnight (nearly an hour), and it's making me feel feelings.

i'm 16, and from the uk, so after june i'll have finished my current education (gcses). in england, people choose where to go for sixth form or college when they're 16-18. most of my friends are staying at the same school we're all currently at. i'm not.

i'm scared to lose them, in all honesty. i love them so much. i know friendships develop and change over time, and there's some people i won't bother to stay in touch with. but there's three people i don't think i could deal with not having as my friends.

yes, i'll make new friends at college. yes, i won't have exams or (hopefully) get bullied. but i am going to miss them with every fibre of my being. there's going to be a heavy feeling when i don't see them everyday. and i don't know how i'm supposed to cope with that.

i've known these people a while, some of them nearly half a decade (5 years) and they mean the world to me. they are the people who keep me safe. they keep me alive.

idk it's late i'm rambling a bit. i'm not sure what i'm going to do without my best friends there. i'm scared. anyway go stream wdsa by BiT!!

hello tumblr! as you most likely know, with the current state of twitter, people are finally coming back to this wonderful feverdream of a website. this feels like a good time to (re)introduce ourselves.

hi. we are a dirtbag boyband from south london called bears in trees. we’re a bit like the kids at school who would hide under the maths blocks stairs and scribble unconvincing emo lyrics. i say a bit like; but that’s exactly what we did, only we turned those unconvincing emo lyrics into our actual songs. we’ve been on tumblr since 2015, and most of our adolescent years were spent on this website. to be blunt, we’ve been here a while.

we just released our new ep, every moonbeam every feverdream. it’s about oat milk coffee, finally understanding the anxieties your mother feels, and the days where you wish you didn’t have a body. we’re incredibly proud of it and you can listen to it wherever you stream music by clicking here.

i’ve been listening to you for 4 years now, in that time i’ve progressed from an unstable teen to a less unstable adult.

i’m still healing, but the cracks are slowly fading and it’s progress. your entire discography is like a record of my own journey. and this album will be a summation of that.

every song in between, before and after ramblings of a lunatic to we don’t speak anymore has had a profound impact on me and i hope they continue to do so.
