byakuya haunts me everyday. he died panning for platinum that senku might have found. do you guys think byakuya's kids hated their sibling for taking byakuya's attention all for himself and leaving none for them? do you think they detested the chore of panning for platinum for a sibling that they never met? do you think some of them believed in their father's words and waited every day for a boy that would only wake up 3700 years later? do you think that they cursed their sibling up until they died? were they ever jealous of the fact that it was senku who got a story dedicated to him in the 100 tales?

I just finished watching Dr. Stone with my husband, and one thing I noticed in Season 3 was the number of parallels between Senku and Soyuz.

They were both raised by people who were not their blood relatives, for one thing. They were permanently separated from their fathers by the use of a petrification beam, for another. Those fathers were also leaders in the Stone World, which led to their sons becoming leaders themselves (at least a little bit, in Senku's case). Although, each of them definitely earned their positions by utilizing their intelligence to overcome obstacles, defeat villains, etc.

Am I imagining things? Soyuz and Senku are wildly similar, right? It's not just me, right? Right?

Depending on how you look at it, main story Dr Stone either has a kill count of 7.99 billion. Or zero.

i'm sure someone else has talked about this before but the biggest plothole in dcst to me really is soyuz, LMAO. we all know it's impossible to retain memories as an infant, first off, but even if we decide to put that aside, it just doesn't make sense that he chose not to have a name all his life because he was named soyuz.

like i'm sure his parents from the ishigami village must have named him something if they got him as a literal baby. and there'd be no reason for him to tell his ishigami parents—or anyone else that might have already been calling him by his new name—when he got old enough to talk that his real name is soyuz, so they shouldn't call him with his fake name, but they can't call him soyuz either because it'd stand out, so just don't call him anything? LMFAO there is just No Way 😭

also how can the entire petrification kingdom instantly believe he really is the next in line to the throne just because he and his father look alike. they were ascendants of six (6) people there's got to be others who look similar to them. (º ⌓º )
