I'm not really sure why, but the idea just really appeals to me? It could be the whole blank-identity, blank-slate component of Bucky's characterization in MCU that kickstarted that feel.

nah man I have my response all written out but I'm terrified of confrontation so I'm waiting until later tonight after she's gone to bed. She can reply to me tomorrow and I'll get it whenever. I told her I've been busy with homework and cleaning.

I don't want her to pull bullshit on me again, especially not over something like this but I am hoping for two things

1) She was approaching it like "Why are you in counseling? Is there something I can help with? I have insurance that should help with that :)" instead of being like "Why are you in counseling? Are you not telling me something? Why are you keeping secrets from me?" so I'm hoping that maaaaaybe she's trying to take a diplomatic approach to this with the understanding that if I'm seeing a counselor, obviously this is probably a big issue

2) Troy and Lizziey have both taken psych classes, especially Lizziey, so they'll have a better understanding of depression than Mom does and if she talks to them about it (which I know she will because I guarantee you she'll visit my brother and be like 'Did you know your sister is seeing a counselor?') they'll be able to educate her more on depression and why she should take me seriously when I say that I'm depressed and have seen a counselor who also says that I likely have clinical depression.

aw jeez TBH not a whole lot xD I feel bad, but I never really developed them a ton because of the fact that they're long dead before Meisodd is ever relevant to the stories really. All I really know is that they're not so much stuffy as they are fairly sophisticated? Well-dressed for middle class, pretty proper and polite and such, which is part of where Meisodd got the whole super polite and formal thing as a kid. He lightens up some as he gets older, but as a little kid, he loves to feel like a grown-up and impress his parents with how awesome he was and stuff like that. Not the same way Kina liked that validation, of course, because in Kina's case it was "Mom hates me and Dad will only pay attention to me if I act like a ruthless warrior but even then he still kinda hates me DAMN" whereas with Meisodd it's like "I love this and I love them and they love me and they call me their little gentleman and other people like me yesss"

I guess they're kind of stereotyped in my head because I haven't done detail work on them. His mother, Talitha (maiden name Rubis), was a pretty gentle person, very quiet. His father, Ashe, was also kind of a quiet nerdy dude who liked to read a lot. I have no idea what job his father had, but it had decent pay. Not enough to be well-off, but a good way above poverty levels.
