Things to help your little while/before you go to work

sometimes caregivers have to go to their job, and thats perfectly okay but it can be a little bit of a bummer when it happens...sooo i thought of some ideas based off what my bubby does for me!

share a calendar! there are apps (we use timetree) that way you guys are on the same page about when your cg have work

remind your little one that you have work ahead of time, like the day before or even a couple hours before you have work

tell them what time you get off work

give them a stuffie or two to hang out with while youre gone. my bubby usually says "you can hug it when i'm at work and imagine that it's me baby"

set up activities for youre little one to do while youre gone! it could be activity book pages, coloring, crafts, playing games, etc

if its allowed text your baby updates on work and check in on them.

If it looks like youll have to work overtime be sure to tell youre little one so they wont worry!!!!

get ready for a big hug, a spam of text, or a call once you get home. i bet your baby missed you!!!

Library day!!

In order to find you a new bedtime story, you're carer offers to take you to the library. With excitement you make your way there, your ears fill with the soft melody of your caregiver hum on the way in. “remember to use your inside voice love. The library is a quiet place” they put a finger to their lips 🤫. You copy them and make your way through the library.

Your caregiver decides to make a quick stop to ask the librarian a question, on the way there they grab your hand. “You're way too tiny to be wandering around here all alone sweetie. Let bubba ask a quick question and then we can look for books you'd like together, alright?” you patiently wait by your carers side while looking around at the library. You hear their voice again and look up. “Alright baby, the childrens books are upstairs! Let's be careful, we don't want you tripping now do we?”

Yall make your way upstairs and find a hefty stack of books that peaked your interest. “Those are a lot of books love, how about i carry them and you go find us a nice comfy spot to sit at” Yall curl up together on a nice, cozy cushion, their arms wrapped around you as they read aloud.

As the day got late, you two returned to the librarian's counter to check out the books. Your caregiver handed you one to carry and carries the others. “Now remember, honey. We're borrowing these books. We must be careful with them and bring them back on time.” You nodded with excitement and reached for their hand. They took yours in theirs and walked out of the library, excited to get home and enjoy your stories.

Staying up

Imagine you and your bubba are having a very special night and staying up later than usual—past your bedtime. You and your baba cuddle up together, the soft glow from the TV and a small lamp lighting the room.

Your eyelids start to feel heavy, and you yawn. Your bubba notices. They gently bring you closer, adjusting the blankets around you. "Tired, little one?" they whisper softly. You nod, snuggling into their warmth. They start humming a soft tune and gently pat your head. "There's no pressure to stay awake love, i understand that you need your rest."

As you drift off, your caregiver stays close. They occasionally watch whatever's on TV, but their attention is mostly on you, ensuring you're comfortable. The soft glow of the room and the gentle rhythm of their breathing create a safe and cozy space for you while you sleep :)

Quick reminders for fellow flips

as a flip myself who just now getting back in touch with my regression again I just felt like it's good to remember these things

just because you take care of a little one doesn't mean you can't regress yourself

just because you are the one being taken care of doesn't mean you can't care for others

you do not have to flip between each side 50/50, you can regress more or be a cg more

when your loney

if you have an little friend you can chat with them (if anyone is looking for some dm meee!!!!)

if thats not an options theres also the ask boxes of tumblrs pages. i know of a lot of accounts that takes ask!

call or write to someone, you can talk about your day or how you miss them

watch your favorite show or youtuber! the sound might help you feel less alone (i do this one all the time)

draw a picture of yourself with whoever you wish to be with in that moment. could be a friend, carer, fictional character or a even stuffie!

daydream about whoever you miss and what fun stuff yall could do together

gather all your stuffies together and have a chat with them! they may not answer you but i can promise theyre always listening!

Taking Medicine 💊

You hear a warm familiar voice. “Come on sibby, its time to take your meds!” Your sibling reminds while gathering your medication in their hand. They hand you your medication and gives you a soft reassuring smile. “You're doing great, lovie!”

As you swallow your medicine you watch your sib clapping their hands. “Yaay good job taking your meds! You know what that means right?” you feel yourself getting excited at the thought. “You get to add a sticker to the chart!!”

You both rush over to the sticker chart, your sibby asks “You wanna put your sticker on the sticker chart?” You nod in excitement as they hand you the sticker. Once placed, y'all take a step back and admire your progress. “Look at all those stars! Keep it up okay?” your sib says ruffling your hair. “Now, lets get back to playing okay!”

⛈️💜Thunderstorms💜⛈️

Imagine you hear a strike of thunder. Your first to scurry under the covers, you shiver and sniffle because lets all be honest, thunder is a little scary! Huddled in the darkness of your blankie you hide from the storm until… you're loving carer quickly joins you under the covers and pulls you into a comforting embrace. “No need to be scared little one,” they whispered to you as they wipe your tears away. “I'm here now and i wont let that mean thunder do anything to my precious baby!” They ruffle and play with your hair and start to quietly sing to you, they may or may not have the best voice but that doesn't matter. You're warmed by their actions. Y'all hear another crack of thunder and slightly jump. Your cg pulls you closer to them. “Maybe my singing wont be enough to cover the loud thunder huh kiddo? I have an idea though, how about we have a movie night!” you pick you're favorite movie while your carer makes you a drink. They hand you the bottle and guide you to sit down with them. “There we are honey, now let's enjoy the movie! If you feel scared just know you can hold my hand.” you instantly grab it and your caregiver lets out a small chuckle. With the milk, movie, and comfort you start to feel better and more comfortable about the thunder. You didn't notice at first that the rain had stopped, you mentioned it to your cg. “I know sweetie, and you were so so brave! I'm proud of you”

✨🌱carer chores🌱✨

Imagine you and your carer are at home together. "Hey little love, bubba need to do some big person things today " You let out a slight sigh at the thought. "Hey now, no worries, you can stay by my side the whole time!" They sit you on the soft carpet and tell you they will be right back. Once they come back you notice them holding a laptop and a basket filled with markers, colored pencils, crayons, and a couple of coloring books.  they set the stuff down and show you two coloring books, one zoo animal-themed and one sea creature-themed. "Go ahead and pick whichever one you'd like sweetie, I'll put on one of your favorite shows in the back." You pick out the coloring book you wanted and start working on your drawing while your baba was busy working on their computer, focusing on their assignments. As time passed they were sure to give you head pats and reassurance  "I'm almost done with work, hun," they murmur occasionally. A little later you hear them stretch and say "Wowww kiddo that picture's turning out really good," they praise as you give them a flustered smile back. "Follow me little love, I need to do some stuff in the kitchen.  Let's clean your stuff up and bubby will carry it over." You follow their lead, watch as they set you up at the table, and then get to work cleaning the kitchen.  As you continue your drawing from earlier you notice a plate of food slide towards you. "Sweetheart, thank you for being so patient with me while I do chores, I'm so proud of you! Now let's have some lunch!"

About this blog!

This is an agere/cglre blog! I am a flip so I make posts about regression and caregiving! This blog is mostly for tip post now please go to @carerplant if you wanna chat/more creative things (headcanons and moodboards)

i based this story on what my bubby does when im little :3

Imagine you and youre carer are eating breakfast, You ask your carer to give you some “appy” slices “Okay, little one, let’s try this,” he says, his voice gentle. “A-pul… apple!” He brings the apple closer, letting you touch it. You try pronouncing it after them. “Apple! Good job, little love.” He gives you the apple slice to eat.

He picks up a toy with wheels. “Alright how about this one?” he rolls it back and forth near you and makes a “vroom” sound. “Can you say car baby? Kah-r?” you try to mimic the sound, letting out a small ka sound. Your carer gives you a bright smile and a kiss on the forehead. “Youre such a smart little kiddo”
