SparkleStuck 2014!!

Coming at you for the 4th Homestuck Lock-In, roller skating, lazer tag, drawing, Prospit vs Derse, gifting related event!

For those of you who haven’t attended a Sparklestuck, here’s how it goes down: We need at least 100 people to pre-pay $25, If you do not pre-pay you will need to pay $35 at the door. With that money we rent out Sparkles Kennesaw for the whole night! Your payment includes skate rental, a dinner at around 11pm of a slice of pizza and a soda, unlimited skating and laser tag, and a 6am(ish) breakfast of powdered mini donuts and a juicebox. There’s usually a drawing party and a gift exchange, and cosplay is encouraged (and FUN!!) but not mandatory. We play music and skate and dance, play games, and have general nice great Homestuck fun until 7am, when we pick up our tired butts and say goodbye until the next meetup. 

This year is going to be event bigger and badder too! We are going to have a SECRET GIFTS OF GIVINGNESS, Movies, a Costume Contest, projected movies, the 2nd Annual Prospit and Derse Games, and a whole lot more!!

The date for the event is Saturday, April 12th. The event would go from Saturday night to Sunday morning. We need a minimum of 100 attendees to make this happen so give this post a signal boost if you can!

SparkleStuck 2014?!?

Hey Guys!! I am going to be the head organizer for SparkleStuck 2014. I am currently looking for anyone and everyone who would like to help this process go a little bit easier! I am looking for: Artists, arm strength, and just people to bounce ideas off of. Feel free to message me with interest or questions at anytime!

SparkleStuck AND YOU!!

A friendly guide for first time lock-inners.

FIRST, either:

RSVP and pre-pay HERE and receive a confirmation ticket to your email. You will bring  the ticket with you to Sparklestuck 2015 to get in. 

You will need to include your MOST CHECKED email address in the provided text field.

OR: You can also RSVP and pay $40 (CASH) at the door to get your bracelet.

people who pre-pay will receive a special gift!

If you donate atleast $5 extra you will get a cool Sparklestuck collectors item.

Other recommended items to bring:

money to purchase any extra food you might want from the concession stand.

sleeping bag and pillow / ear plugs / eye mask.

drawing utensils and sketchbook/paper if you plan on drawing

if you prepayed, your confirmation ticket.

candy and other snacks, should you want them. Or other food to share (everyone loves free food!) RULES ON SNACKS  

a good pair of socks, if you plan on skating at all!

change of clothes if you feel like you party hardy or just for the next day and maybe some pjs 

stuff to get off your body/face paint if you are going to be cosplaying a troll or cherub (we recommend this stuff)

any other toiletries you might need!

any kind of picture taking device. Tag your imgs as #sparklestuck, #sparklestuck 2015, #atlstuck, or #atlantastuck.

Other points of interest:

Attendees over the age of 21 with appropriate ID will be able to purchase alcohol at the event

They will not, however, be allowed to bring their own into the facility.

Body paint (ben nye or whatever you’re using) can get really messy, so make sure to clean up after yourself.

If you plan on skating a lot, bring a bottle of water!

 Once we are in the building they will not let us OUT of the building (except for emergencies). Think ahead and get what you need INTO the rink before they shut the doors.

Cosplay is optional! (and there will be a CONTEST) You can troll cosplay without the grey, just plain wear your MSPA tee-shirt, or dress up fancy for yourself. The only dress code stipulation is that you cover yourself somehow!
