In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve deeply into the most popular topics in numerology, providing a thorough understanding of its many facets. 1. Life Path Numbers
What is a Life Path Number?
The Life Path Number is perhaps the most significant number in numerology. Derived from your birth date, it reveals your life's purpose, the challenges you'll face, and the opportunities available to you. This number is considered the blueprint for your journey through life.
How to Calculate Your Life Path Number
To calculate your Life Path Number, add the digits of your birth date until you reach a single digit. For example, if you were born on July 15, 1990, you would calculate:
Month: 07 (0+7 = 7)
Day: 15 (1+5 = 6)
Year: 1990 (1+9+9+0 = 19, 1+9 = 10, 1+0 = 1)
Then add these numbers together: 7 + 6 + 1 = 14, and 1 + 4 = 5. So, the Life Path Number is 5.
Meaning of Life Path Numbers
Each Life Path Number (1-9) and Master Numbers (11, 22, 33) has a unique significance:

I Just Think Mr Minit's A Wizard
Magic is real.
Let’s assume it, in your case. This is about worldbuilding, after all.
Magic is real.
Assuming magic is real, there are going to be knock-on effects. For a start, in the real world, we have an elaborate culture of people intent on studying the impact and influence of magic and its justifications and its lore, and that’s a thing that doesn’t exist. Things that do exist have specialist periodicals and research and peer review, and things that don’t exist still have a wide cultural presence.
Now imagine your typical magical metropolis. You see them in a lot of fantasy settings. Cities are made up of places for people to stay, and places for people to do things. You can treat it as workplaces, residences, and third places between them. Sure, you get taverns and bars in that third place, but that’s not everything people do. They’re going to go to workplaces, types of industry and things that people do, and then there are going to be those other things, the services you can offer large bodies of people.
How often do you think people go to see, as it were, A Wizard?
It’s an interesting thing because of course if you’re an American, that probably has the same tone as ‘seeing a doctor,’ and that means that you do it if you have health insurance and most people don’t and that sucks. But also, that implies that wizards are both rare and extremely powerful and well rewarded, which y’know, that doesn’t have to be true. A wizard might be a specialised skill yeah and it may require a lot of study to be really good at it but how much study does it take to lightly suck at it? In the real world, we have pastors and gurus and spiritual leaders who are largely talking out their ass about things they made up and those people don’t have much in the way of effort to get to that level.
Let’s say you have a messed up dream. Nothing serious, just a nightmare, that’s out of the ordinary for you. In our world, because dreams aren’t anything but your brain rearranging the deck chairs, you wake up, shake it off, mention it to a friend or for some reason bring it up on reddit, god don’t know why that’s a thing, but you don’t expect that to be meaningful to anyone. Well, in a city where your city block has a Diviner or Seer, it might be on the way to work you drop in to a store and explain your dream, briefly, to a wizard.
It might be a therapeutic thing (the wizard is nice to you, gives you information about it). But it might also be like a wizardly kind of weather research station. A place where they track dreams and nightmares looking for prophetic strands or repeated patterns and images. If you work hard at it you could probably get really good at it. If they started to swap notes with one another you might be able to make a bit of a project of it and see some dangers to the city coming. You probably also get people with different relationships to it – some people who show up to record their dreams on the regular, some people who show up because it’s nice to have something to do, and some people who only drop in rarely when they have a spooky dream.
They probably also have services that help you find small objects, light up objects, send messages – these are all things that you can probably get, pretty conveniently, from a pretty crap wizard, someone who got through the opening cantrips but didn’t get to the pointy hat tiers.
My thinking on this front is that we already have subcultures and deforming public effects based on things that we imagine to be true. Vaccination efforts have to pay attention to the possibility of people literally making up fairy stories and choose the terminology for their devices in ways that make sure people can’t invent stories or numerology stuff about what they’re doing and again, those things are fake. But for some reason, in a world where magic is reals and dreams can be prophecies, wouldn’t it make sense to actually engage with them?
And what does that do to the city? it changes the path of the day. It might be that different styles of wizards handle it differently. Imagine an enchanter who doesn’t want to put up with people spending time in their office – you show up, they cast a spell on you to make you dump the information in a standardised form they can record, and then you go. Some might be set up like a doctor’s waiting room where an illusionist sees everyone really quickly, using magic to make them think they spent a lot of time there. It might be very pragmatic, just a wizard who’s willing to see everyone in a queue based on who’s available.
There’s a service where people will reliably find common small items, specialised reproductions and maybe even ways to like, solve tiny problems that they rarely have come up but really, really want when they get them.
What I’m saying is, you know that place in the mall that cuts keys and replaces phone covers and can open a padlock or a wedding ring for you? Yeah, that place is a byproduct of a lot of infrastructure and represents a lot of infrastructure, and that could be a thing a wizard does. It also means that for most people, they might have a single magic light source they move around the house and maybe stick in a bucket, not because they’re rich but because that wizard makes money on volume and you probably buy light bulbs with gaps between them that a light spell could be set up to work.
Magic changes the world but only does it by changing people’s behaviour. It has to, because there’s no alternative to what changes the world. It doesn’t have to be big things, it doesn’t have to be the massive movement of armies and empires. It can be the force of ten thousand people changing their days just a tiny bit every day.
