Spring Troupe Zine Twitter & News

Hey all! I think some Tumblr people answered the interest check from last week, so here's a mini-update!

The zine has a Twitter account (harugumizine) now! I'll still be posting news here on my Tumblr, but Twt will be the preferred platform of choice. Feel free to message me here though!

Sign-ups will be posted in 24 hours!

I will answer all questions asked from the interest check on the Twitter account! I'll also post them here on Tumblr. It's not necessary for y'all Tumblr folk to send questions through the interest check--feel free to just send them here! I'll be cross-posting the q&a to Twitter.

This applies to Tumblr only, but I'll start tagging these posts as #sping toupe, which is just "spring troupe" with the r's removed. Easier to search that way on my blog! That's all for now~

Hello! If you are signed up for the Spring Troupe Zine, this post is for you and serves some announcements.

Summary: Check-in dates change & more email trouble.

1. Check-in dates change

The check-in dates have now become check-in windows! Instead of being confined to one (1) day, check-ins now span some 3-4 days to allow for contributors to do their important things. The new check-in dates are:

Check-in #1 - July 15 to July 18 Check-in #2 - August 20 to August 23 Check-in #3 - Oct. 1 to Oct. 4

2. Email Trouble

(t looks like there's still email trouble. If you or someone you know used an email that is NOT @/gmail.com but instead outlook, hotmail, etc., it's possible you or they have not gotten our email. I don't know why this is other than that Gmail possibly CAN'T send emails to others using a different mailing platform.

So please DM this account if you're using a different email platform other than Gmail in the case there (already) is email trouble for you.

Spring Troupe Zine QT Pt. 2 !!!!

Answered some more questions! These will be the last few for now unless more question get asked over at our CuriousCat

Q: I was wondering if the zine will be for-profit? A: Nope! I'm a minor, so legally can't handle money.

Q: Can there be discussions of a non-Spring Troupe character's involvement as long as they are not the focus of the work? A: Yes, of course! As long as they're not the focus it's all good.

Q: Can we publish works publicly on our own accounts after the zine has been released? A: Yes of course! Feel free to post them after the zine's out :3

Q: Are we allowed to draw more than one character, or do we have to stick one member? A: You're allowed to draw more than one character! Just have fun and take care while doing so.

Q: Are we going to pay to participate? A: Nope! It's free to join.

Q. Will I be notified in an email if I'm accepted? + Will everyone be accepted or will some people be refused? A. You will get an acceptance email with some extra links in them! Everyone will be accepted as long as they've signed up and are contactable.

Q. Can we draw other troupe members or are we limited to the troupe only? A. By 'the troupe' I think you mean Spring? If so, no, you're free to draw the other Mankai Company members! Just make a Spring member the focus and it's all good !!

Q. Are we allowed to draw Director/Izumi? A. Yes, of course! As long she's not the main focus + with (a) Spring member(s), then it's all good. No ships though!!

Q. Can we also submit headcanons for the zine as well? A. Unfortunately, headcanons alone will be declined, BUT if you write them like drabbles/ficlets (~100 words) then you can frame it as a short series of sorts.

Spring Troupe Zine Questions Thread!

Please be sure to read this post in case your question was already asked and answered!

🌸 A link to the beginning of this thread will be put in the Carrd's Links section. (Note: it will link to the Twt thread only) 🌸 Will update in batches/sporadically. (On Tumblr, I will make new posts for each batch. This means Tumblr QT will be slower than Twitter's QT.)

Q: I'm not updated on the JP storyline...I would still like to contribute. A: Perfectly fine! There will be a way to mark spoilers in the zine.

Q: I might not be available at [this certain check-in]. Can I send/start later? A: Yes! As long as you notify me again when I ask for the check-in, you're good. Don't want you to stress unnecessarily.

Q: Since everyone who signs up will be accepted, do you have a maximum number of contributors to accept? A: Unless the # of contributors reaches like 60, I don't see there being a cap on the # of participants.

Q: Do you plan to open sign-ups for mods? A: There's a question like it in the sign-up form itself. I will be going around to DM the people who offered to help me mod! Speaking of which, please have Tmblr+ DMs open if you've offered!

Q: I'm interested in the zine but don't have Discord/Twt. I'm afraid to be out of the loop and miss deadlines. A: No worries! The main method of communication will be email, and I'm reachable through Tumblr too.

Q: How active do we need to be on either Twt/Discord? A: Not often! On Twitter, it'll be mostly quietly, and Discord'll be more for the contributors to talk with one another! In the Discord, I'll also @ reminders for things like check-in.

Q: Are original plays valid? / Is there a certain theme? A: Original plays are valid! Please be aware of the words minimum and maximum though, 500 and 2k respectively. And there is no certain theme! Only requirements are Spring member(s)-centric and SFW.
