Introducing: Spring of Sigami!

Spring of Sigami is a weekly shipping prompt event, running from March 19 to June 20. That's the whole 13 weeks of Spring!

Each week will feature a new prompt (the whole list will be posted soon) themed around Spring! Flowers, sunshine, outdoor adventures... Spring is a season of joy!

Having a week for each prompt will hopefully be more fun and less stressful than simply having a week straight of art stories or whatever you make to worry about.

And worry is something this is meant to help alleviate. Right now I'm working through some heavy issues and I can't help but imagine a lot of others are as well. So let's all work to spread some happiness into the world through Sigami and maybe help ourselves mentally along the way.

Nature is healing. We will too.

My piece for Spring of Sigami Week 2... They are so lost...

Alright, time for the end-of-year wrap-up! This was a year of some incredibly low lows, but stands as proof that there's good within the bad. For now though, let's go over my creative output.

Writing

Most of what I 'published' were Sigami fics (obviously) with a decent amount for the Spring of Sigami event (we'll be holding a smaller scale one next year too!) but I did a bit more than that.

12/11: Sleepy Carriage (Puyo Puyo, Sigami)

I've also been working on an original novel! It's got action and adventure in a post-apocalyptic world, magical girl mechanics, and main leads inspired by... Sigami. They're my muses, what can I say?

Hoping to make more progress and make a final draft next year! Maybe expand my writings to more characters/fandom too.

Art

This year I've started to get into drawing. I was never good at it, but I've been steadily improving! Here's some of my favorite pieces I've put out so far.

Yes, most of those are also Sigami. I run the @sigamicentral blog. What do you expect?

Speaking of...

Ups & Downs

This has been a very hard year. I reached the logical conclusion of being emotionally abused by someone online for... not liking Archie Sonic, which I am still having to do with and they are still trying to harass me despite removing myself from them as much as possible.

Although surviving a horrible few months in the hospital last year, my grandma still isn't doing well medical-wise and is actually back there as I type this.

My aunt had to go to rehab again and lost custody of her kid (good).

And let's not talk about the multitude of international problems going on right now, alright?

But there's usually an upside.

Now we have the aforementioned @sigamicentral, an amazing and active community that I am doing my damndest to keep a much-needed safe place. My grandma is still alive despite everything and because of all this I got to reconnect with my extended family. And now I live with and help look after my little cousin who I see a lot of myself in.

Plus I got to go to the Sonic Orchestra for the first time (going again in January!) and got really into Dropout. I got an actually functioning gaming PC and, while not much happened with gaming this year for me, Shadow Generations and the third Sonic movie were amazing.

I've got not conclusion for this. This year sucked but I'm surviving. Also there's a Superman movie I'm really excited for coming out next year.

Spring of Sigami Entry

I tried making a fanfic for week 1 but couldn't finish it in time, so I'll be sticking to art for this event. Week 2 was Bugs/Insects, so I made a silly comic about one. It's not super naturery, but in my defense...making comics is fucking hard like trust me this took more effort than you'd expect from looking at it.

Spring of Sigami 2025 is upon us!

Made an mistake and thought I had the event scheduled to start next month and not... yesterday. OOPS. Luckily I already had the list ready to go and an hour free to put this graphic together.

Spring of Sigami is the annual springtime Sigami ship prompt event, allowing a week's response to each prompt so everyone can have plenty of time to work on the ones they want to.

Ms. Accord is hosting a Sun Festival in honor of the lost civilization of Arca's goddess and has decided Amitie is the perfect student to play the goddess. But the role is getting to her and is making her seem less like herself, on her own birthday no less. Or maybe it's that Sig is avoiding her for some reason. Now the students of Ms. Accord's class must escape the web of an ancient plot and, more importantly, Sig has to find Amitie a worthwhile birthday present before the shadowy mastermind's plot is unfolded and the present is lost forever.

WELCOME TO SPRING OF SIGAMI

Spring has sprung and so it's time for the Spring of Sigami event to officially start!

For those who don't know, this is a Spring-themed prompt event for the Amitie/Sig ship with a new prompt for each week of Spring. Feel free to drop in and out as the event moves along.

This first week runs from March 19 to March 25 with the prompt Adventure / New Experiences. Spring is all about getting back out into the world and trying new things. It's the perfect time to explore your surroundings and go places you've never been before. Really, it's all about trying something new.

It's Week 9 of Spring of Sigami!

This week's theme is Allergies / Sick and will run May 14 - May 20. Even with the beauty Spring brings, all the pollen and rain might put us up in bed for a day or two. But that's not a problem when you've got someone close to you.

It's Week 5 of Spring of Sigami!
