Ruffrunner is truly my favorite of the furies. Astrid in the SOD said that he would grow to be the largest of the night lights. I like to think about it and imagine just a huge fury, bigger than Toothless. He looks dangerous. And yet he remains one of the most powerful dragons, therefore, even being with a gentle, peaceful character, he can devour someone if necessary XD

‘I understand it has been talked to death, but I just have to say how sad I am about how there's absolutely no intimacy with the LIs anymore. The ship of dreams just cemented it for me. We are supposed to be so very in love with Theo or whatever, but literally every single scene "sexual tension" gets mentioned. I LIKE sexy books, but it's not romance. It doesn't feel like romance, it doesn't feel like they're in love, it just feels like they find each other hot :/’

‘I understand that this is "chick lit" to a degree. I understand that you don’t want to get <i>too</i> bogged down in historical accuracy with stuff like racism and sexism, but I wish they wouldn’t completely ignore it, either. There was only one Black passenger on the Titanic. His name was Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche. He had a White wife and mixed kids and that was only allowed because they were French. If you’re going to have Black LIs and lesbian couples (if you are the female MC with a female Theo, and they're different races like my Brown/IndianF!MC is with the Black female Theo) I wish they'd at least acknowledge it to SOME degree rather than pretend it wouldn't have been an issue. F!Theo should've been a maid, not working the coals in the engine room, because they would not have allowed a woman that job. Stuff like that is really important to get right. Instead they lazily put in the least amount of work they can and just switch out faces while still telling a heteronormative White romance because they're too lazy to put in the f🤬king work. It would be so nice if just once...JUST ONCE...they tried.’
