I do! I love Percy. Hate to tell you anon, but if it’s named for Scabbers, Pettigrew is almost guaranteed to make an appearance. This might drop after MC’s confrontation with him in-story, after the memory charm, and serve as a kind of follow up to that sequence. I mean, I dunno what else they would do. 

Like, it’s strange. If you had asked me during Year 5 if I thought Pettigrew would ever show up, I would have guessed that what happened in the main story would happen....in a TLSQ. Like, Bill, Charlie, and MC discovering Scabbers’ secret, and then getting obliviated at the end. That could have been a decent TLSQ story, and a way to bring in Pettigrew without breaking canon. (Not that there’s any particular demand for him...he’s pretty much hated by the general fandom.)

What I don’t understand is why they put him in the main story. That was never really resolved. He’s an R member, so he could show up again at any time. But he also worked with Rakepick and Jacob. He was with Jacob almost up to the point of Jacob’s disappearance. That matters a lot, and having Pettigrew hold this level of importance is playing with fire. Because Bill and Charlie are major characters, who cannot know Scabbers’ true identity. They can never learn that. And really....MC can’t either. With how close they are to the Weasleys, there’s no reason they wouldn’t expose Pettigrew if they knew. What’s even weirder is that Rakepick seemed to be invested in keeping his secret early on, but then freely name-dropped him in the Portrait Vault...in front of MC, Bill, and potentially Charlie. I know that none of them know who he is, but if just one person who was in the Portrait Vault remembers that name and it becomes a lead for the Circle to follow...that’s still playing with fire. 

So yeah, I have no idea what they’re going to do in a TLSQ about Scabbers. I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t take advantage of the chance to have Pettigrew appear again, but search me if I know what they’re going to do with him if he actually shows up. Won’t he need to obliviate MC again? Do memory charms stack? Having them used on a person over and over again cannot be very healthy...
