something I highly recommend is taking random background gems and giving them a name/story/personality etc. that's what I did with this one Peridot in the background of a Future episode. took one look and was like "yeah he's very interested in earth geography, is transmasc and is dating my oc"

I think Peridot is shown to be right handed on the show (or at least I think that’s the one she uses her tablet with as well as the holographic screens when she still had her limb enhancers) I wouldn’t be surprised if all gems are ambidextrous.As for Peri/Squari I did this awhile ago but never got around to postingTheir hair makes a pentagon

What would happen if Lapis met Squaridot? Do they even exist in this AU? And even if they don’t, do you think any outcomes would be different? Sorry I’m just really curious.

She wouldn't like Squari very much, probably seeing as "inferior" to "Her Peri". Squaridot doesn't really exsist in this world, the closest being Peri's father.

Ruby and Sapphire are Garnet’s mothers.

Jasper and Amethyst are sisters.

Malachite and Lapis MIGHT be half sisters. MIGHT.

Sugilite is Amethyst’s cousin, Smoky is Amethyst’s cousin on the other side, and Rainbow is Smoky’s cousin. Rose is Smoky and Rainbow’s cousin.

Sorry for not saying this in the wings blog but the thing you said about it made me think of how much I loved the fact that you made Holly a good person, caring about Peri and Squaridot, I just loved it. I guess other "villains" are good in that fic?

Holly loves Peri and Squari more than their own mom does. She'll kill to protect them.Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, Aquamarine, Blue Pearl, Yellow Pearl, Jasper, Yellow Zircon, Malachite and Squaridot are all on the side of good.
