its funny, this list of ineligible cars that aren't allowed to compete in the base class of world time attack has some major blind spots. the main constraint is that you have to run an engine with the same number of cylinders and it has to be from the same OEM.

the fact that you can run an A110 Alpine (which has a Renault/Nissan engine) means you could potentially swap the motor to an SR20VET or even just build the 1.8 into a 500hp monster.

alternatively, buy an audi RS3 with a DSG, do all the bolt on stuff and have yourself a 600-700hp AWD hatchback. its basically a killer from factory, just needs some downforce. theres a ton of cars tbh that fall in the loopholes here, but for a class thats meant to be for relatively budget builds, its not really in the spirit of it.

Dyno sesh today on the spare motor. Not bad considering this is a street setup motor and making 520whp/400tq @ 23lbs on Garrett GTX3076r, managed by AEM Infinity, fueled by Ignite Racing Fuel and lubricated by Purol Oil. Thanks to Garage Life for tuning the car and HPS for the dyno time and all of the reliable silicone hoses and couplers! We went from SR20VET to SR20DET just for the mean time while we get our new race engine going. business idea for anyone with a ton of cash and time:

- resto-modding 80s and 90s JDM cars in the same vane as Singer.

imagine an s13 silvia in better than showroom spec, maybe a 400hp nismo built SR20VET etc etc.

imagine an AE86 thats keichi tsuchiya spec but without developing it yourself.

an FC with a high-comp n/a 13b that revs to 9.5k, short ratio gearbox, low weight, etc

theres just so many super cool things you could do, just requiring lots of money and lots of faith lmao.

built by legends is pretty much doing this with civics and r32s
