What do you think is 1 thing she gains from Steve & Jonathan you find influencing your portrayal of Nancy? ('After Hours' interview july 2022)
Quotes about stancy (1/2/3/4/5)
Shout out to thinkerjancy on twitter! :D Whom I've been made aware of seems to lack an astounding amount of creativity to the point that I thought, at first glance, they had screenshotted my post. lmao
I feel like it's general graphic making manners to at least credit inspo when you copy&paste style/placement/everything from someone else? I do! Don't be a dick! :D Also:

I'm going insane, I'm fully going insane, I know I'm late to the party but I finally watched the first episode of Interview With the Vampire, and holy shit. They really went there, they finally did it: Louis and Lestat went canon.
The blueprint for the original toxic, codependent, covered in blood, "let's go and kill together, my love", gay vampires and murder husbands are back, and they went all in.
And I got to watch it? No take backs? No it's up for interpretations? No will they won't theys? No their relationship transcends the physical? No Vampires don't have sex and therefore cannot really be gay arguments?
This feels like a big fat fuck you to all the half assed going canon scenes we've had in other shows before. They did it on the first episode and went all in.
I don't know if you guys understand what I mean when I say the went canon. I'm not talking about a confession that they can easily cut out. Oh no, the show is clearly all about their relationship, just like the book was. But they lay it all out. I've never seen a show go out like this.
Like they really said: so I've heard you enjoy the fucked up, toxic and decadent Louis and Lestat relationship? So how about I give you levitating gay vampire sex? Some kissing while covered in blood inside a church? Would you like a scene of Lestat killing two priests, denouncing god and telling a repressed gay Louis he loves him and he deserves to be loved so come and be his eternal gay vampire serial killer husband?
And that was only episode one.

PEARLE (HOST): Both of them are very energetic, on the interviews ... being like children. They're so, so unruly sometimes. How did you handle them on the set?
TARAK: He's good with children.

ss bradley !! have you ever considered moving? I mean, thin walls aren't the most desirable thing for an apartment
I mean, apartments are expensive and this one is pretty close to both my works. Also I don't think any place I could move to would have cuter neighbors ;)

Timothy Snyder wrote a new book!
Tumblr media
"ABOUT ON FREEDOM
A brilliant exploration of freedom—what it is, how it’s been misunderstood, and why it’s our only chance for survival—by the acclaimed Yale historian and author of the #1 New York Times bestseller On Tyranny
Timothy Snyder has been called “the leading interpreter of our dark times.” As a historian, he has given us startling reinterpretations of political collapse and mass killing. As a public intellectual, he has turned that knowledge toward counsel and prediction, working against authoritarianism here and abroad. His book On Tyranny has inspired millions around the world to fight for freedom. Now, in this tour de force of political philosophy, he helps us see exactly what we’re fighting for.
Freedom is the great American commitment, but as Snyder argues, we have lost sight of what it means—and this is leading us into crisis. Too many of us look at freedom as the absence of state power: We think we’re free if we can do and say as we please, and protect ourselves from government overreach. But true freedom isn’t so much freedom from as freedom to—the freedom to thrive, to take risks for futures we choose by working together. Freedom is the value that makes all other values possible.
On Freedom takes us on a thrilling intellectual journey. Drawing on the work of philosophers and political dissidents, conversations with contemporary thinkers, and his own experiences coming of age in a time of American exceptionalism, Snyder identifies the practices and attitudes—the habits of mind—that will allow us to design a government in which we and future generations can flourish. We come to appreciate the importance of traditions (championed by the right) but also the role of institutions (the purview of the left). Intimate yet ambitious, this book helps forge a new consensus rooted in a politics of abundance, generosity, and grace."

I honestly don't know what else Kishimoto could have done to show that Sasuke doesn't like Sakura. He never reciprocated her romantic advances, never initiated any such behaviors, in Shippuden he ignored her constantly despite her numerous tries to garner his attention, and Sasuke flat out said that he has no reason to love her. He even tried to kill her because he does not care. SS shippers are so delusional, every time they post an analysis you can automatically discredit whatever they say, if only they'd be bother to think about what they write as they struggle to justify their pathetic ship with irrelevant examples or "evidence". It's embarrassing for them really when they display that level of reading comprehension and analysis skills... or complete lack thereof.
Ikr? Did you see that garbage bin meta that they wrote? No man, I love comedy content and I am big fan of stand up comedy, comedy sitcoms, movies, series and what have you. But that meta made water come out of my nose. Lol.
So this is part of Kishi's interview about Boruto movie.
Tumblr media
Lol it's so obvious from his other interviews as to what he thinks about Sakura's character. IMO, he goes to a great extent to discredit and vilify Sakura's character, in the manga narrative and in his interviews. Like c'mon, Sakura's seiyuu was just showing her excitement about Sakura's new role as a mother, but Kishi couldn't help making fun of her. Like it's not enough that he would insult her character by calling her 'addicted' to Sasuke in a bad way, or mock her, saying she is a hard woman and Sasuke deals with her by not being home etc, he would not even tolerate her VA being excited for her and would instantly make up some mysterious scenario where he is willing to put Sakura in further 'turmoil' and then on top of it, would also disclose that he said it as a response to the VA's excitement, to douse her excitement like this. Hahahahahah. He is such an ass. And no wonder that he wrote Gaiden right after he finished writing Boruto's script. Lol. Like he just didn't want people to be under any misapprehension that SS is genuine or even functional. I mean he had to sacrifice his favourite character to someone like Sakura, to someone he wrote with such negative shades, a writer who specialises in writing lovable characters wrote a character that was built for hating and then he had to give her, her reward. Sasuke. All for the sake of Boruto. But he won't stay away from showing exactly how SS works, or doesn't work. With Gaiden. Lol. Shit that Kishi says about her and Hinata, it's like he has no filter.
I heard some SS quit the ship after Gaiden was released. Well better late than never. Good for them. But of course, coming of age hasn't happened for a lot of other SS stans. I wouldn't put it past Kishi to do something else to put SS to shame. He is a petty dude and God bless him. Lol.
