Reschedule Announcement

The PULP announce that the concert will be on December 17 and 18 on the same year and venue. For those who want to retain their seat from AUGUST 6, 2022, the tickets should be reprint at MOA ticketing booth no later than November 25 if I'm not mistaken. During that time many fans including me was worried about the process because many of us was not from NCR. Some fans just let go their tickets, other just upgrade from a higher tier but me I just reprinted it. I requested a leave of absence for me to travel at MOA for just reprinting my tickets. I am so thankful because it was reprinted successfully and smoothly.

Pre-show Excitement

Unlike on the meet and greet this time I save a much for SS9 in MANILA Day 1. I managed to purchase a bucket hat with super junior logo, and I also purchased an official fan light version 1. Meanwhile for the transportation I met a E.L.F here in my province so I reserved a seat for carpool.

DDAY

At 12 noon we arrived at Mall of Asia Arena, and it was a rainy season, so lot of fans was with umbrellas. I didn't not manage to hunt a freebie because I am very tired, and it was so cold. We just seat outside the ARENA until gate was opened for GEN AD. When I arrived at the venue, I was so excited that's why I forgot to go at the toilet.

AT THE MOMENT In the opening song they sang their latest song "CELEBRATE". When they show up on stage, I can't hear much their voice because of fan chant. I can't remember how many songs they sang and how many times I was able to standup because I was carried away. As far as I remember when DONGHAE shown his abs I can't breathe (haha). After the concert it feels like heaven, and I can say this will be my best Christmas gift ever.

after ss9 in manila, i noticed hyukjae seemed brighter. like you could tell he feels lighter and better. after what happened last august and the aftermath, with the concert being postponed and stuff, i'm sure so many things are weighing on his shoulders. but after their concert in manila, it feels like he finally got his closure.

of course, i wouldn't be surprised if he's still grieving today. but at least after their manila stop and getting his much-needed cheering up from everybody, especially the manila crowd, he was finally able to shed his burdens away even just a little. it's amazing how a moment of closure and support can make a difference. 💙

My best of the best 2022 ✨

Got the chance to see Super Junior thrice this year. Even though the first one really broke our hearts, the last 2 shows made a history. It was their first 2-day concert here in the Philippines and I'm indeed elated to be part of it. From GA last Super Show 7, UB last Super Show 8, to 2 days VIP Standing this Super Show 9. Glad I don't have a bad knee lol. Wow, laki ng gastos ko sa inyo SuJu. Kidding! I'm on my happiest mood whenever I see them live (which some people really don't understand why)

Literal na kumakain sila ng CD mga ses and they age like a fine wine! I wanna know their skin care tbh. Super duper gwapo (like they always look) pero yung talagang nag-stand out for me is Ryeowook. Mukha syang fictional character! Feeling ko sya si Jack Frost. Wala akong maayos na kuha ni Leeteuk, sobrang likot. He wrecked my bias list last August pero ngayong December, ang lakas ng kapit ni Donghae.

Lee Donghae, you made me the happiest person on earth when you took that group selfie! You've been my bias since I started liking SuJu. Eventhough that wasn't my phone, I got pretty excited coz I knew that I was on that photo 🤧 Pangarap ko lang dati yan. Grabe, you really have no idea how much I envy those people who always got chances to have a selfie with you during concerts (Inggitera ang lola. Eme)

To my co-elfs, see you again this SS10 dahil pala-desisyon si Leeteuk at balak pa yatang palitan si Sir Vernon sa pagiging CEO. Lol. Let's all be healthy and more kaldag to see.

Help. SS9 in Manila is amazing. 😭 i don't want to come back to reality 😭

Tbh i don't even know where to begin. It's like everything is a blur, I was just cheering my lungs out both in the bleachers and the standing area, and before I knew it, the concert's done 😭.

Super Shows are indeed amazing. I don't want to miss it. Especially when it's in Manila 😭. I really had a lot of fun.

I actually cried a bit while at the concert on Day 2. When they were singing Walkin', there's this sudden realization that I really love this group so much. I was overwhelmed with emotions that I teared up a bit. When Shindong and Hyukjae talked about what happened last Aug, I just want to hug them yknow. I'm glad that they knew that we'll always be here for them, whether in sadness and happiness.

AND THEY PLAYED WHITE LOVE. GOD BESIDES SNOWMAN, THAT'S MY FAVORITE TRACK IN THEIR NEW ALBUM 😭😭😭 I CAN'T BELIEVE I HEARD IT LIVE 😭😭😭

The aftermath: my body aches so much, I don't have my voice. I'm a bit worried about how would I be able to work on Wednesday 🤣 hopefully I regain my voice back a bit on Tuesday 😭

Edit: I'm just sad that it's all about fancams now and interactions 😭 when I was in the standing area, I was the only one near the stage who is not taking any fancams. Maybe I took some picture for memories but I'm the only one who is not holding my phone up in the air. And as a smol person, it's hard to see past those tall heads what more if there's a phone up in the air 😭 😭. Me and my friend told each other that we'll be at the back when we go for standing VIP 😭

"My Behind the Super Show 9 Meet and Greet (August 6, 2022) 🎶✨"

For fangirls, there's nothing quite like the thrill of experiencing a live performance by their favorite singer or band. The energy, the music, and the connection between the artist and the audience can be truly magical.

Who is SUPER JUNIOR for me?

Super Junior was one of my ultimate bias groups since 2012. They are so popular in my country. Even not a fan they know who Super Junior is. There song is so catchy, the concept is unique and visual was unexplainable. Every comeback was gives me goosebumps most especially the vocal.

How I feel about the announcement

Being a fan for almost ten years I always dream to attend their concert. There's a lot of SUPER SHOW happened here in my country, but I never had a chance to became part of Sapphire Blue Ocean. When the PULP announces on their twitter account that on August 6, 2022, hallyu king will come to Philippines I was so excited. During that I only earn not so much for the ticket, but I decided to come.

The Ticket Selling Excitement

Around July 2022 the ticket selling was happened many fans go to camping at ticketing outlet a night before ticketing. Because of being busy I decided to purchase tickets via SM TICKETS. My original plan was to buy GEN AD B that is cost of Php. 3,500.00 so I add some money on my GCASH account. During the ticketing all of GEN AD B tickets was sold out so I decided to get GEN AD A even though I am tight budget.

Pre-Show Excitement

As a dedicated fan that will attend a concert for very first time is very exciting. I planned my outfit carefully such as go to mall and online shop. Also, I purchased a fan kit (fan light and headband light with my bias name). During that time because I am tight budget, I didn't purchase an official fan light or SUJUBONG. I save my money for my transportation allowance from QUEZON PROVICE to QUEZON CITY because I will stay on my aunt house.

One Day Before SS9

During that day August 5, 2022, was a very rainy day that's why I am worried how will I travel at early as 3 am on the next day. While packing my things for my travel I am standby in twitter to see some updates of Super Junior. When I saw some pictures from many sources, I am a little bit nervous for what will happen because it's looks like sad from the airport footage.

DDAY

At exactly 2 pm I woke up because it takes 6 hours from province to NCR. When I opened my twitter account, I was shocked because on my feed the news is EUNHYUK father was dead. All of the fans were worried even the organizers but there is no announcement if the concert is postponed or cancelled. When I arrived at MOA I saw many fans outside all of them was like mixed emotions for what will happen. I forgot the details of announcement but what I remember we entered the Arena for us to meet and greet them. All of the members were sad, but they managed to give us a song. They promised us that they will come back for a two-day concert.

SuperShow 9: The Road in Manila

Woah. Just woah. Natupad ito dahil kay Tita GG. Siya sumagot ng kulang namin ni Jau for VIP Tix. Shet. Sheeeet.

Kaso, si Siwon, nag-positive sa COVID 3 days before concert date.

Okay lang. May next time naman, sabi ko.

Then Hyukjae lost his father on the day of their flight to Manila, the day before the concert date.

Pighati. Para kay Hyukjae, at sa pamilya ng Super Junior. Hindi mo aakalain na mangyayari iyon. Walang may gusto sa nangyari. I woke up with that news noong araw ng concert. I cried for Hyukjae and his family for their grief and loss.

Nag-announce ang Label SJ na pinag-uusapan nila ang mangyayari sa concert. Nagpush pa rin kami ni Jau na pumunta sa MOA Arena. Marami pa rin ang nagpunta. Halata sa mukha ng bawat fan ang lungkot at pagka-ulila. Alam mong malalim ang bond ng idol at fans kapag nagtitipon pa rin para sumuporta, kahit gaano ito kasakit. May ilan na galing pang Visayas, Mindanao, at iba pang bansa para sumuporta, kahit walang kasiguraduhan sa kung anong mangyayari sa araw na iyon.

Nasa EDSA Carousel Bus kami ni Jau, en route to MOA, noong sabi ng SJ Label na hindi matutuloy ang concert. But instead, the rest of the members of SJ wanted to meet us personally.

Ewan ko rin e, kung bakit nagtuloy pa rin sila sa flight nila dito. Halata sa airport pictures na may mali noong araw na iyon e (wala pang may ideya sa kung anong nangyari ang mga fans). Dumating pa rin sila, Leeteuk running towards their anxious fans.

Super Junior didn't have to face us. But they personally wanted to apologize to us. Kasi hindi raw natuloy ang concert. Hagulgol mga mhie. Tipong gusto mong yakapin ang bawat isa sa kanila dahil sa lungkot na nararamdaman nila. And they sang 3 songs for us, yung ballad songs na nasa setlist: My Wish, Callin', at More Days With You. (These songs will always remind me of SJ's love to us.)

They didn't have to sing for us, but they still did.

The concert wasn't canceled. It was only postponed. Magagamit pa namin ang tickets namin sa rescheduled date. Wish pa ni Leeteuk na sana 2 days na raw ang concert haha. Grabeng sakripisyo niyan. Lalo na sa nag-organize. Pero grabe din ang pagmamahal ng organizer sa Super Junior, e. Anything for them. Anything for us.

Halata mo sa kanila na mahal nila kami. Hindi ko ito naramdaman sa kahit kaninong celebrity o idol.

Almost 3 years pa lang akong fan, pero grabe na ang pagmamahal ko sa kanila.

Hindi man nakatakda na maka-attend ako ng first ever concert ko sa araw na iyon, pero maghihintay kami ni Jau sa inyo. Tulad ng pinangako ninyo. Happier and healthier Super Junior members and ELFs.

(Side note: super glad ako na nasa tabi ni Hyukjae si Heechul, Kangin, at Sungmin noong nandito sa Pilipinas ang ibang members. EVEN IF IT IS ADDED OR EXCLUDED, SUPER JUNIOR IS STILL SUPER JUNIOR! Sit down, haters lol 😜)

SUPPOSED TO BE MY 1ST SUPER SHOW

SUPER JUNIOR - SUPER SHOW 9: ROAD IN MANILA

Ako na lang ba ang hindi nakakapag-blog about Super Show 9 Manila? Char! 

Allow me to share my experience from preps, to the day of supposed-to-be-concert. 

PREPARATIONS

Yung feeling na…

·         May Super Show na ulit sa Pilipinas. May time pa para mag-ipon pambili ng ticket.

·         Nakabili ako ng ticket para sa Super Show 9. Nagkataong may sahod na.

·         Nagbura ako ng malalaking files sa cellphone para ready  na akong i-capture at i-record ang moments ko with SJ for the first time.

·         Nakabili na ako ng SUJU bong (light stick) kahit version 1 lang, at least meron para sa SS.

·         Planado na kung paano pumunta, at sinong maghahatid-sundo sa akin.

·         Masusuot ko na sa wakas yung hoodie na ni-regalo sa akin ng dating office mate ko.

 A WEEK BEFORE SUPER SHOW 9 IN MANILA

Nagsimula na akong mag-countdown sa stories ko. Nangingibabaw ang excitement habang naghihintay ng August 6 2022.

Yun nga lang… Nakisabay ang sunud-sunod na pag-ulan that week. At sunud-sunod na hindi magagandang balita ang in-announce ng Label SJ at PULP Live World – ang official organizer ng SS9.

·         For the 2nd time, nag-positive sa COVID 19 ang bias ko – si Siwon. Kaya hindi siya makakasama. Need niya mag-isolate ASAP at magpagaling.

·         Sa hindi malamang dahilan, nagising ako around 2 AM. So heto na nga… Madaling araw ng 06 Aug 2022, in-announce ng Label SJ ang biglaang pagpanaw ng ama ni Eunhyuk (which is hanggang ngayon, hindi pa natin alam ang totoong dahilan) – dahilan kung bakit hindi siya nakasama sa flight noong Friday night. Sunud-sunod na yung comments regarding this sad news. As in hindi ako makatulog ulit kasi busy ako kakabasa ng comments sa Twitter, Facebook, Instagram hanggang 4 AM guys! Partida may duty pa ako ng 7 AM that day.

Post ko na lang yung exact details from Label SJ at PULP dito.

D – DAY of SUPER SHOW 9 in Manila

Hindi naging madali ang desisyon ng Label SJ at PULP na i-postpone ang concert. Well, I’ll post the official announcement here.

Pagpasok ko pa lang sa MoA Arena ay naririnig ko ang ballad songs ng SJ bago magsimula ang Meet & Greet - Ito lang ang mga naaalala ko so far - “One More Chance”, “So I”, “Somebody New”, “The Melody”, “Dorothy”, “Memories”, at marami pang B-side tracks.

Meet and Greet happened. Si Ms. Kring Kim ang host – trying to lighten up the mood sa kabila ng mga unexpected sad news – na hindi natin or wala namang ginustong mangyari yon. Ah basta! Gets nyo na yung ibig kong sabihin.

That night, SJ and PH ELFs made history. Mixed emotions. As I’ve said sa post ko sa IG, nagpunta ako sa MoA Arena not just to witness SJ for the first time. Nagpunta ako para damayan ang ELFs, at members na present that night – Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. Pinakinggan naming sila, at paulit-ulit ulit na humihingi ng sorry. “Gwaenchana!” (It’s okay!) Cheer namin sa kanila because the members were so emotional too.

Mahahalata rin ang kanilang pagiging emotional habang hinaharana kami – yes. Three ballad songs!
