Welcome to my year in review! Inspired by @mochibuni 's yearly review of her art.

I only published three stories this year, so it won't take long. 🤣 First up, Love Potion!

Technically, I started posting this in December of last year, but I didn't finish it until 2022. And I wrote the bulk of it this year (one chapter was 10k words!!! That's 1/4 of the entire story 😬).

This is my longest fic to date. The premise is what would happen if Minako tried to brew a love potion from an ancient text (that she can't 100% read) to help Jadeite win Rei over.

Nothing could go wrong, right?

It tackles the reconciliation of each senshi/shittenou couple, for reasons I won't spoil.

I really like this story. It was a lot of fun to write. I genuinely had a lot of fun bouncing ideas around with Mochi and the other members of the SSMB discord and just being silly where I could. A lot of the funniest parts of this story would not exist without the collaboration of all their brilliant minds.

I wouldn't say it's my strongest writing, but it was entertaining.

I also realized how much I hate (and fail at) posting updates on a deadline. I was supposed to post a chapter a week, and managed that until I ran out pre-written stuff. It also really stiffles the ability to fix things that later become a problem. For instance, the Rei and Minako chapters quickly dwarfed the Ami and Mako chapters (Ami's especially), and I couldn't do anything because they were already posted.

I would much rather post chapters like Netflix. 🤣

(An Ami/Zoi companion fic is in the works to make up for how guilty I felt. Just FYI)

One of my favorite things to come from this fic was "Bubbles," Jadeite's endearing nickname for Ami.

I loved pulling elements from Sailor V, and building the friendship between V and Jade.

I know it's long, and the Rei and Minako chapters are daunting, but give it a try!
