Puffin on Skomer Island today a mesmerising experience seeing these birds and other seabirds today I never tire of these some of my favourite birds and species that have captivated me the most, it was especially powerful and euphoric observing so many Puffins as their numbers on Skomer are doing very well in contrast to the plight of the species and others as a whole with some incredible intimate views, and Broad Haven South beach on Tuesday.

Sculptor: Ralph Stackpole. Most famously known for the statue of Pacifica at the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939 on Treasure Island. This is in front of what used to be the Pacific Stock Exchange Building in San Francisco. The building has been adaptively reused as an Equinox Fitness Center. 📸: me/2025/02/07 #ArtDeco

Flying Buffalo's Sorcerer's Apprentice featured more well-known authors than most gaming magazines. The special double issue #9/10, Winter/Spring 1981, included fiction by Roger Zelazny, non-fiction by C J Cherryh and L Sprague de Camp, a T&T dungeon by Larry DiTillio, and a feature by Michael Stackpole. This issue also would have premiered a new story by Manly Wade Wellman but the editor postponed it when Lee Brown Coye's illustrations were temporarily lost in the mail. (Richard Becker cover art)
