These are a mix of single and dual ended at Circular Sock Machine Cast On Bonnets with included worldwide not-tracked shipping.

HELPFUL TIP: When you have two cast on bonnets (or even single DUAL ended Bonnet) you can leave the scrap yarn on the cast on bonnet and use the opposite side to cast on again (if needed) and use scrap directly from the bonnet (instead of rewinding it to reuse the scrap yarn).

A DUAL ended cast on bonnet has twice the longevity as both ends can be used.

If you prefer a Cast On Bonnet with a single large ring on the bottom simply purchase a Dual Ended version and add a removable ring yourself to use a Cast On Bonnet without a buckle.

A month ago I shared the white upgraded Cast On Bonnet I made for my high slot count cylinder from @chambordcsm :) Tonight I reinstalled the cylinder and used the cast on bonnet with red scrap yarn. Isn’t the bonnet gorgeous!? A regular cast on bonnet was made with the picot edge and then off the machine I used a crochet hook to crochet on each picot. My usual 6mm split ring cast on bonnet was incompatible with the spacing of these 120 needles. Today I hung every second green braided loop with industrial strength ease. The newest high slot count 120 needle cylinder is amazing but the high needle count means the slots are very close and my 6mm split ring cast on bonnet is wider than the slot setup. The solution: a regular non split ring cast on bonnet - I reinforced the edge with industrial strength braided “Ravel Cord” using crochet. Want to learn more about Ravel Cord? All you need for this project is a working CSM ready to knit, something to cast on with, scrap and project yarn, and a darning needle to do your off machine bind off once finished. Cylinder specific means that this bonnet is made on the only cylinder it will be used on (Unlike a Universal Bonnet). We will review the project we will make, you will cast on using your preferred method (see CASTING ON below for more info if needed or skip to near the end of the video where we show how to use the newly made bonnet to cast on with). Pattern summary: a twenty row hung hem, a specified body length worked, a row of picot (two stitches on one needle, one needle empty then repeat), work 10 final rows of project yarn, switch to scrap yarn and then take the project off the machine.
