It features Dae, my aasimar lore bard, and Alovar, a celestial npc in service to Ilmater she became close with.

We sadly did not get to finish the campaign, but I plan to write their story still.

CHARACTER SOUNDTRACK

list some songs that give off the Vibes™️of your character, whether it’s something they would listen to or just gives that delicious writing and muse inspo!

I'M GOING TO HEAVEN - Amigo the Devil. Sol recommended this one to me, and it clicked instantly. Not just the sound of the music, but the fact that Logan would absolutely go to break in to heaven and shit-talk St. Peter if they took away the person he loved. He'll do anything for his loved ones. Anything. But the music is a vibe too.

LETDOWN - Statefall. Logan has massive insecurities. He feels like most, if not all, of his close relationships are doomed to fail, and sadly, history has proven that. With very few exceptions, the people who he loved most either ended up turning on him or dying or both. This also comes with the abuse he's faced as a child, and the torment of Weapon X. He's basically hardwired to see himself as someone who has to earn and keep earning love, to prove that he's good enough to be worth peoples time, and there are plenty of times he thinks he's going to fail to reach that mark.

A GRAVE MISTAKE - Ice Nine Kills. This song is technically about the Crow, but I feel like it suits Logan really well. I really like it in regards to him confronting the Doctor from Weapon X, but there's also the double meaning of Logan feeling damned because of all he did, and it started with him killing Thomas - his bio father and his dad's murderer, who he looks exactly like, and sees every time he looks in the mirror. It's just such a powerful song and it goes so hard.

LAST TO FALL - Starset. This one should also be pretty self explanatory. He is always the last one to survive. He can't really die anymore, and even if he does, someone always brings him back. He always outlives the people he loves, and he's always the last one standing. It's his curse.

LITTLE WOLF - Epic: The Musical. I've said it before, I'll say it again. This is, in my head, the theme song for the Dog vs James fight in the 1800s. But also, "Let's teach this dog a lesson, in front of all his kind; One young wolf has a larger heart than all these men combined." That's Logan. That's just Logan.

WORM-EATEN PSYCHEDELISM - Heisei Project. This is another good Weapon X song. Mostly because of the story the song is telling, but I like to see it as the battle between James/Logan and the Animal/The Weapon. He is fighting himself, and it's often an incredibly violent struggle to keep a hold on the parts of himself he can't just set loose. The parts of him that, to an extent, someone else put there in a brutal, violating way. He never really wins, and he can't give up without dire results, so he fights it as he always has.

THE LION IN YOU - The New Roses. This is both a song I think Logan would listen to, and a good fighting song for him. While he can be clean and clinical about it, and he has trained, at the end of the day, he's a naturally evolved apex predator. That shit comes out sometimes. (But yeah, this would also be a song he listens to while fixing his bike or working out!)

HARPY HARE - Yaelokre. This is a very upbeat-paced song for how well it connects to Logan's insecurities about parenthood. He's never gotten to raise any of his kids (in 616 at least). He can't find them when they're little (given he doesn't know they exist), and he thinks he's buried at least one. He can't keep them close to him, and - especially as they grow - he can't always keep an eye on them. The more he tries, the more they fight. And he also worries that he can't protect them, and that somehow - even if they're immortal - he'll bury his kids like he buries everyone else.

HELLRAISER - Ozzy Osbourne. Of course I had to put this one here. This is Logan's favourite song, from his favourite album, from his favourite artist. He's just super into Ozzy, what can I say? This is another that'd be on his playlist for working out or fixing his bike(s). But it's also one I would use if I was ever going to make a Wolverine movie. I think it really catches his general outlook. He doesn't wanna sit back and relax a lot of the time - he likes bar fights, he hates authority (unless they earn his respect), he's not afraid to stir shit up, either if it's because he thinks something is wrong, or he's just in the mood. He's both the conscience and the bad boy of the team, and it's something he wears well.

MARY DID YOU KNOW - Pentatonix. This is a great cover, but it also always makes me think. In this case, I'm thinking about Elizabeth and John Sr. with baby James the first time. I wonder what they were thinking, especially with the death of John Jr. and the circumstances surrounding it. And that no matter what thoughts went through their minds, they would never be able to guess what their little boy would have happen to him. Nobody would know that tiny infant, swaddled in a blanket, would go on to become one of the greatest heroes the world ever had. They wouldn't guess as he drew his first tiny breaths and wriggled to stay close to the warmth of his parents that he would be gutted and stripped of his identity, pumped full of metal to make him an unbeatable killing machine. They wouldn't know how hard he would fight to be a person regardless. They wouldn't know he would outlive the foundations of their estate. And if they did know... You gotta wonder what they would've thought about that.
