This is gonna be me going on a little bit of a rant if that’s okay. But some of you people in the outsiders fandom (you know who you are) have me on level fucking ten.

“Oh they can’t be gay they’d be homophobic it’s the 60s blah blah blah” just fucking say you’re homophobic. Just fucking say you don’t like it when gay people want/have representation. Because the outsiders take’s place in 1967 and Stonewall happens two years later in ‘69 so gay people were 100% there.

“Oh if I were Darry I’d beat pony” “oh I would’ve smacked pony so hard for that” that’s a child. That’s a grieving child. You are admitting to child abuse. I hope none of you have children. I’m sorry if that comes off super aggressive and shit like sure yeah he’s just a fictional character. But it’s SUPER WEIRD to be openly okay with hitting children. He’s 14 fucking years old. He’s grieving and doesn’t understand the way that Darry is grieving he doesn’t understand what Darry is going through because he has to step up and put his feelings aside. But noooo yall would rather abuse children than understand that.

Istfg some of yall are so brain dead it makes me so fucking mad. Either learn some basic empathy and media literacy skills or don’t read the book.
