Hell yeah! Thanks for noticing! I knew I definitely wanted to add in fairytales and I started organizing as many as I could fit in. I think it’s super powerful that the first time any fairytale is introduced is Beauty and The Beast (when OC goes knocking on that door as the ‘enchantress’ and he fails to give her a room). He was turned into a beast, much similarly to OC. And the curse OC uses on the end for her and Jimin is the same curse she uses to curse that child (with the parents who ripped her flowers) - it’s supposed to be Sleeping Beauty’s curse.

Anyways, yeah, super heartbreaking that Jungkook didn’t recognize her....

I imagine both had to do with it, but more so gut feeling and he finally looked at her. Basically imagine from Jungkook’s standpoint - this witch ends up insisting that she’s your fiancee and you tell her to fuck off basically and you go kill her. But oh! She disappears instead! What. the. fuck. but fine, no revenge - at least there’s peace in your kingdom again.

Fast forward, your baby gets fucking kidnapped. Fast forward more, you find out that your kid is still alive, actually living well, and is being raised by someone. You’re like ??????? wHY. you go there and it’s THE FUCKING SAME WITCH. why would she take your kid? why should she raise your child so well and not harm her? 

That, plus Jimin’s appearance and you finally look into her eyes and then you’re trying to make sense of it.....you’re adding all the things up...her continued insistence that she’s your ‘dead’ fiancee and the way she calls your name...

Woo-hoo! You’re right! I love messing with superhero tropes and I love messing with fairytale tropes too! I feel like there’s so much to do on both those tropes compared to how it’s usually presented in a very cookie-cutter manner.

It actually wasn’t inspired by Sherk tho. It was inspired by two things...which I’ll talk about down below. To answer your question....I don’t know. It’s up to you to decide. Jimin is definitely not OC’s true love. The only person who could’ve given her true love’s kiss is Jungkook...the question is: would it have worked?

I left that up for you to decide.

It was a sad fic, but I think in a way she did end up getting her happy ending-even if it wasn't the one that she hoped for at first. I liked how you incorporated different stories and characters into this one fic, and how it shows you the "villain's" perspective. The poor girl suffered so much because of one mistake.

I knew from the very start I wanted OC to end up in a dream or a dream-like state or a dream-like heaven. It would be too cruel to let her die after all that and I knew it would be cruel to leave her in that world she was living in too. I really like bittersweet endings for angst, so glad you liked that. Indeed, OC ended up getting her happy ending. Maybe not the fairytale ending she had initially hoped for, but the one she ended up wanting more.

And honestly, I LOVE writing from the villain. I think Tears of A Villain proved that. I feel like there’s so much more to villains than the regular protagonist. Actually, A Kiss of Poison was inspired by my two favourite villains of all time.

The Witch from Into the Woods and Erik (the phantom) from Phantom of the Opera.

I feel like most times, villains in stories are either very shallow or they got a sob story which sort of explains how they ended up like that. Like there’s a small flashback which shows their mistreatment or the villain is like “my mother abandoned meeeee!!!!” and I’m like....”well alright then”. But with The Witch and Erik, their sadness and grievances are more so embedded into their actions. The things they do, the things they say, you can see the sadness and devastation in their lives.

A Kiss of Poison was directly inspired from these two characters, so if you have some time, you should listen to these:

This was actually the height of the movie for me. It’s so fucking emotional. From the witch’s anger to her desperate plea. I feel like what makes her different from Mother Gothel from Tangled is that Mother Gothel has something to gain from Rapunzel - her magical hair that makes her younger. She actively lies to Rapunzel to keep her around, but the witch from Into The Woods really has nothing to gain from Rapunzel staying. She begs her to stay because she genuinely cares for her, and the witch fails to realize her love is suffocating.

I think the most powerful line is: “Who out there could love you more than I?”

She’s kind of screaming it in pain, sadness, anger. It’s just so powerful.

The second is:

I love Phantom of the Opera oml. Phantom does some fucked up shit, let’s be honest here. But he just desperately wants to be loved by Christine and in his circumstances, you wonder if you’d also be crazy enough to do the things he’d do.

I just love the final song in Phantom of The Opera cause it goes from anger to this chaos to this pity and then beauty and my god, I just love all musicals because there’s so much emotion in the music and lyrics and it legit tells a story.

I think the most powerful lines are: “This face, which earned a mother's fear and loathing.” // “The world showed no compassion to me!” // “Pitiful creature of darkness. What kind of life have you known?”

• Taehyungs POV •

This is simultaneously the best and the worst night of Kim Taehyungs life. Before this date, he thought he had her wrapped around his finger. He felt like he was in control and everything was nice and dandy, but now, everything is definitely not nice and dandy anymore. Here he is, next to him probably the hottest girl he's been with as she's doing all these things to him and yet he can't do anything because they are in the car on their way home.

You're all over him.

You're eyeing him in the most innocent but yet seductive way, you're playing with a strand of your hair- you're doing everything that's tempting a man, and you are fully aware of that. Never has he ever wanted to be as far away from a girl as possible like he does in this moment. On the contrary, he really does not want to be anywhere that doesn't include you, him and sheets all around you.

,I can do this. I can totally do this. It's not that far 'til we get home. What can it be? Fifteen more minutes? Pull yourself together Taehyung, you are not sixteen anymore. You can do this!‘

Sure, he was convinced that he could make it. But, of course you have to prove him wrong. That is, as soon as he feels your hand on his thigh, slowly making its way to the inner side, gently sliding up towards his crotch. But of course, your hand never reaches it. You goddamn tease.

‚You're not sixteen, you're not sixteen, you're not sixteen... just distract yourself Taehyung... avert your gaze... you do not have to deal with this...‘

The problem here is, it seems nearly impossible. Wherever he looks, you are haunting him. If he looks out the window, he can see your reflection. And this is, when he makes his biggest mistake.

He looks forward.

There, his eyes meet the rear mirror. And what he sees has him inhaling sharply, pressing his eyes shut as strong as one can only do.

You're leaning in, your lips are making contact with the sensitive skin on his neck as they plant the slowest and softest kisses all over it, lips barely meeting his skin.

He's doing the only right thing a man in his situation could do now- he reaches for his phone. But as soon as he unlocks it, you're already there to take even that away from him; your face now painfully close to his as you whisper in his ear.

„No. Give your attention to me.“

Your voice is sweet like honey and yet it sets him on fire, your warm breath against his ear sending shivers down his spine. Taehyungs phone slides out of his hand onto the ground of the car as his head falling back. Furrowing his eyebrows he pulls his lips into a thin line. He really could cry right now.

He really is trying not to let it get to him, but you are not making it easy. Especially not with what you're doing right now. All he wanted was to have a very nice dinner with you that sets the right mood for the following night. Not only have you ruined that for him, no, you also gave him a hell ride for the way home, and he's sitting first class. Never did he hate being a man driven by hormones as much as today. All he wanted was something hot for the night, something that makes him feel like he's got game, not this existential crisis. So how dare you to touch his arm and guide your hand downward, as you bend over and lower your body.

You come to a halt with the fewest of centimeters left between your face and his crotch. Oh, how he has to fight the urge to thrust his hips right into your face to close the distance. His breathing increases what feels like a thousandfold, and the only thing he can think of is how he wants you to touch him so badly. He's barely able to stay calm. With your mouth hovering so painfully close over his cock you're having it twitch inside his pants. He can feel you smirking under your breath- you are living your best life right now and he hates it.

He watches with heavy lidded eyes as you bring your right arm closer to where your head rests. Bracing himself for the releasing touch of your hand, he's thinking all about how he'd ever be able to live down the fact that there's a chance of him finishing right in his pants- that's how far you've driven him at this point. He must have done something very terrible but very good at the same time in his past life to deserve this bittersweet torture that's been given to him.

Leaning back and closing his eyes, he's preparing himself for what would be the most embarrassing moment in his life; while on the contrary your tease finally wouldn't have an effect on him anymore if he'd happen to blow early. The more surprised he is when he realizes, that the touch he's been waiting for never comes. Looking down to where he finds you, he observes you slowly lifting your head, looking up. You arch your back in the most elegant way as you raise back up, facing him with slightly parted lips as your eyes are piercing right through his soul.

„You dropped something.“ you whisper as you calmly bring up your hand to reveal the phone that's dangling between your thumb and your index finger. Huffing in disappointment, all he does is take the phone away from you with a muffled ,thank you‘ while he can see you biting your lip to hide away a grin.

As you softly play with the hair on the lower back of his head he can feel himself almost giving in; he's leaning into your touch while closing his eyes in enjoyment. Out of all the things you've done to him he wouldn't have thought that something so innocent would be the thing that'll have him weak.

„All this teasing you've done will have payback, you know that, don't you?“ Taehyung says with the softest voice, but you can hear how serious he is.

„Oh? Is that so? Sounds like you barely can take it,“ you coo back at him playful, yet seductive.

„You should've seen by now that I can take it, your dress might be beautiful and you might be very, very hot,“ he says swallowing hard. „But I am not going to falter.“

He opens his eyes to lock them with yours. Both of your eyes are dark and with lust, the tension lies thick in the air. His gaze averts to your lips that are decorated with a lingering smile. Your right hand finds its way back to his thigh to brace some of your weight on it as you lean in again. Your other hand softly brushes away some of the hair thats barely reaching over the top of his ear.

Taehyung presses his lips together, he knew you'd only take it as an invitation to keep going, but as your whispered words mixed with hot breath reach his ears, he chokes on his own air.

„Do you know what's also very, very hot? Under this dress I wear.... nothing.“

He flinches away in distress, that was too hot, everything is too hot right now. Burying his face in his hands he lets out an inaudible whine. That was one comment too much. Anything would have been okay, but that really was the cherry on top.

„Sir, we have arrived,“ a voice suddenly calls out and Taehyungs body slightly jumps at the unexpected noise, his head poking up.

It takes him a few seconds to process what he just heard, but as soon as he does he opens his door and hurries out, shutting is door in a swift push.

Seconds later, he's opening yours and reaches for your wrist.

„Come. Now,“ he demands as he yanks you out of your seat.

He's not playing anymore.

Fuck.

Everyone would probably wonder how you ended up in this situation, well- you certainly do. Here you are, sitting in a very fancy restaurant, having dinner with a stranger from Tinder. Except for the fact that the stranger was Kim Taehyung. And that he is now drenched in a combination of water and your saliva. You certainly know how to make a first impression.

„I... I should probably..“ Taehyung says, as he gestures circles around his face with one hand and points to towards the bathroom with the other.

„Yes... you- you probably should..“ you say with a nervous laughter as you watch him get up and walk away. Jesus christ. You really did not mean to spit a mouth full of water right into his face when he sat down and you first saw him.

You're nervously sipping on your drink as you watch Taehyung making his way back to your table.

„Should I wait until you're done drinking before I sit down this time?“ he says jokingly.

„No... no it's fine. I'm sorry, just- just sit down,“ you say as you exhale in embarrassment.

„Alright“ is all he says as he lowers himself onto his chair with a little laughter.

„I'm sorry that I spat my drink all over you it's just... I'm not used to going on a blind date with a handsome... stranger.“

You notice how Taehyungs eyebrows twitch for a second as the word ‚stranger‘ reaches his ears.

„Stranger? You don't know who I am?“ he says cocky.

„Well, I don't know anything, not even your name, all I do know that your dick really needs to bust a nut, but other than that...“ you say, a playful smirk dancing on your lips.

„I... uhm, wo-would you excuse me again for a short second?“ Taehyung rambles as he gets up from his seat, hitting his knee on the table, causing his glass to fall over.

„Oh my god I'm so sorry.“ The embarrassment is evident on his face as he awkwardly tries to pick up his glass. You have to hold back a very big grin, and you just wave your hand to signalize him that it's okay if he leaves again. You watch as he leaves while he mumbles a couple more sorry's towards you, and then take one of the napkins to dry the mess as soon as his silhouette disappears behind the bathroom door.

When Taehyung comes walking back, he suddenly radiates an unreal amount of confidence. Pulling his chair back a bit too rough, he sits down nonchalantly with a shit-eating grin on his face.

„So, shall we finally introduce ourselves?“ he says, pouring some wine for the both of you. „By the way, do not worry about the menu, it's already been ordered and paid for.“ he adds, smiling ever so widely.

„Well, wow? I guess? You seem to have a lot of money considering the fact that the food is already taken care of and no one else is in here,“ you say, eyeing your wine as you give it a good swirl.

„Huh, not to brag but- I rented it out so we could have some privacy. By the way, did I ever mention I am the Co-CEO of a famous company?“

„Oh is that so? Which company is that supposed to be?“ you ask cocking an eyebrow.

„TihGib Entertainment. We're casting... well, entertainers.“

You almost snort a laughter as you take a sip of your wine as he answers. This is the best date of your life. Never would you have expected to sit in front of V, but what you really would have never expected, was that you both would play each other.

„Ahh I see, I'm sorry, what was your name again?“ you say as you hold back a smirk that's dangerously tugging on the corners of your mouth.

„Choi Taehyung.“

„Taehyung, okay, got it. Hi. I'm y/n,“ you respond, a warm tone coating your voice.

He's placing his hand on yours as he smiles and this is it. You're choking on your wine. As you're coughing and gasping for air, he's getting up to pat your back in attempt to help you breathe.

„Are you okay?“

„Y-Yes,“ you cough out. „Yes totally okay. I'm fine, really, I'm great, the best I've ever been.“

You're not okay. How could you? You're on a date, with Kim Taehyung, who just happens to be your bias, and he just touched you. Never in a billion dreams would you ever have expected that to happen one day. But as it seems ‚one day‘ is in fact today, and the fact that you started a game you did not expect to take these turns has you, well, nervous- to say the least. On the other hand, it has you just as excited because you are well aware of what's going on while he really is not.

„Well, enough about myself. How about you tell me something about you?“ Taehyungs eyes are piercing through your soul, a very curious expression on his face as he rests his chin on his folded hands.

„Well, I'm a barista, working for a fairly popular coffee-chain. Starbucks, you might have heard from them,“ you say as you giggle with an evil hint. „Well, some of my customers are very pushy. Especially one. He always wants me to call him... daddy.“ you add, paying a lot of attention to what kind of reaction it spurs on his face. You're pleased when you see his tongue poking out, wetting his lip and continues with dragging his teeth across his lower lip in the most subtle way. He's swallowing hard and the way his adams apple bobs in his throat tells you just how intrigued he is.

„Do you like that?“ he asks.

You know exactly what he's talking about, but you can't find it in yourself to stop playing around.

„Do I like what?

„Do you like calling people that? Daddy?“ he asks again, a hint of unpatience evident in his voice as he's fidgeting with the hem of his sleeve.

„Well, I don't know, you tell me... daddy,“ you say with a sly smirk.

That's it. That's the moment a low growl leaves Taehyungs throat and you'd be so sure that he'd be ready to jump your bones right in this moment if it wasn't for the waiter that's interrupting you, presenting the dish as he's proudly placing it on the table. Taehyung catches himself again and politely thanks the waiter for his service.

As an Army, you know exactly how to push Taehyungs buttons, you know exactly what kinda game you have to play, the fun part is, that he doesn't. You're pretty torn between behaving like you usually would, or going all out, I mean, this'll probably be your only chance to ever get things going with the Kim Taehyung, so you really don't know. Should you seduce him like you would with any other guy? Should you play into his cards and be exactly what he desires? Not that you're only interested in his dick per se, no not at all, but if you're realistic, that's most likely all you'll ever get and if the chance is served to you on a silver plate, you might as well just take the offer. In the end, thats exactly what you signed up for in the first place.

Therefore, your mind is pretty much made up. You're going for the simple way- you're playing with his primal instincts.

You take your knife and fork and cut a tiny piece of your steak and slowly bring your hand towards your lips and you, just as slowly, take the piece into your mouth. As you begin to chew, you let out a moan.

„This is so good..“ you breathe as you eye Taehyung, who's sitting there, heavy lidded as he locks eyes with you.

„That is such a good... piece... of meat...“ you say seductively and you see Taehyung holding his bottom lip between his teeth and averting his gaze towards his crotch for a short moment. He's painfully pressing his eyes shut and furrowing his eyebrows as he now faces the ceiling, speaking silent prayers to whomever.

‚Almost there.‘

You're smiling to yourself. Men are just so easy. All you need is to give him the final blow.

„Don't you want to eat?“ you ask him with the sweetest of voices.

„Oh yeah. Yeah I do.“ Just as he picks up the cutlery, your foot meets his shin softly, and you lock eyes with him as you gently drag your foot up towards his inner thigh, taking a sip of your glass of wine.

That's the second Taehyung lets go of the good silver and slams his hands on the table, standing up abruptly.

‚Gotcha.‘

„Excuse me,“ he calls out to the waiter. „Could we have the food to-go?“
