The first story actually involved a very famous Twitch streamer (for anyone who doesn’t know, it’s a streaming platform for gamers). A girl was invited by him to a NYE party at a house he’d rented out for the night. She got drunk and wanted to go home. A friend that she went to the party with had already left with an Uber. The guy told her she could sleep in one of the bedrooms and she’d be safe, only for someone to come into the room while she was barely awake and violently rape her. She was present enough to know what was happening and also saw the rapist’s face. In shock, she went to the hospital and got a rape kit, STD kit, morning after pill and a physical check because of how brutal the assault was. She reported the crime. She also messaged the guy who invited her, told him what happened and asked if he knew who assaulted her. The Twitch guy said no but that it could not be one of his friends. The girl didn’t believe him so she went on his social media to see if she could find pics from that night. She spotted the guy who raped her from a picture and also saw that he WAS a friend of the streamer. The guy was shocked it was his friend (similar to Percy, he said he had never dealt with this situation before) but he helped her and his team sent full details of the person for her case. She came to Twitter to expose the rapist. She had a full chain of events in a thread with the date, location and approximate time of the assault. She also included text messages with the Twitch guy and pictures of her in the hospital. Everything was detailed. The second girl’s story I saw her was similar. Went to a party, and then was raped by a guy she met there. She also had a very detailed story, chain of events, she also went to the police and the hospital. How does this relate to Cancel Percy? Well, what struck me almost immediately with Aries, Karis and Desiree was the sheer lack of not only sense in their stories but also details. Not one of them has hard facts like a date/location or a breakdown of the day or night of assault. Not one of them has evidence of going to the police. No record of a victim going to the hospital and taking a rape kit. All we have is Aries implying she was raped, then saying it was an assault, then saying it’s probably not a big deal and was non-violent, then saying she isn’t a victim but *knows* victims. We have Desiree implying Percy had a hand in her rape, only to be exposed as a rape apologist herself then saying he raped other people she *knows*. We have Kayla who’s said she isn’t a victim but *knows* victims. We have Karis who’s holding a grudge against Percy for being a fuckboy to her. He didn’t rape her but she *knows* people who he did rape. Do you see the problem? None of these girls are the primary victim here. No case will ever stay open based on “I heard this” or “I was told this” or “they did this to someone I know”. The question is WHAT did Percy do to THEM, that is all the police will ask. There is a huge difference with a primary victim telling their story and what these girls are doing.
