💖 You've found the right corner of the internet! I recommend reading Andy Robinson's autobiography to enhance your "A Stitch in Time" reading experience. A lot of my little note relate to that. Andy put a lot of little bits of his own life into ASIT like how Garak gets suddenly sent off to boarding school. Andy was taken from his mom by a judge and was sent to a boarding school where he was abused. There's little parallels all throughout ASIT that are really interesting once you know what to look for.

Andy's autobiography is called "stepping into the light." Here is a link. (You don't need a kindle, you just need the kindle app to read it btw). Oh, also I should mention that it deals with the topic of CSA (child sexual assault).

I’ve nearly finished alan alda’s memoir (I’m dragging it out because I’m already feeling some kinda way), and once I have that’ll mark the third memoir I’ve read by an actor who started out in some kind of working class background, next to andy robinson and christopher eccleston

think something that’s interesting in all three of them, is that I find them to be some of the most affecting actors I’ve ever seen + all three were actors I first really saw at some big changing moment in my life, and so in my head I cannot help but think of them as (for lack of a better word) successful in what they do

and yet all three of these memoirs are -- amongst other things -- filled with frustration they had felt at several points in their lives that they weren’t “making it” in some way. and that’s not a disconnect from how I feel about their work (which, you know when an actor has a bunch of terrible movies and un-picked-up pilots that they’re not raking in the a-lister big bucks, and I tend to gravitate to those actors) so much as a context for where that work came from 

and it’s just a relief to read about. these people are rockstars in my head, because of the work they’ve put into their lives and art. their memoirs all feel like a celebration of that living (with all the things that also hurt), rather than a self-congratulatory pat on the back about what fantastic actors they may be. there’s a lot about connection in those books, and that’s just what comes from the living

as an artist, it’s something to think about. the art is important, sure, but the connection comes from the living

While reading Andy Robinson’s ‘Stepping Into The Light’ I came across this paragraph, yelled “Holy shit!” read it again, said “Holy shit” twice more, and screenshotted it.

This is the most relatable thing I have ever read in a book.

This is the story of my life.

I’ve never been able to put it into words properly, and he goes and does it in his book, and I am SO THANKFUL that he did so.

Just... I’m nearly in tears every time I read this part.

There’s a lot in his book I relate to, along with a lot of stuff I don’t, but this... my god. I hope I one day get to tell him thank you. Because I feel a little less alone in the world now.

Do you guys (guys being both you ryen and my fellow 3tan sufferers) think yoongi would be the kind to make a big deal out of telling reader he loves her or will he just casually say it because it is the most obvious thing in the world? Will he stew in the realisation and think about if she feels the same, the consequences, and if and when he decides to tell her, would he want it to be special? Or would they be in his kitchen one morning and he'll just look over her being at home and comfortable and just say i love you? Why am I even thinking about this, it's just causing me pain
