Stiles screamed as he held on tightly, the cardboard curling in his hands the quicker it slid down the snowy hill. Elijah bounced in his lap as the cardboard felt like a rocket, shooting them toward a snow hill. Stiles moved an arm to wrap around Elijah as Elijah held onto the cardboard and then they crashed into the snow.

He fell back, Elijah rolling with laughter on top of him. “Let’s do it again, Daddy!”

Stiles’ lungs hurt. “I think you should do it with your Dad. Ava’s too small so she can't slide down the hills with us yet and I need to feed her.”

“Awwww, man.” Elijah pouted and sighed, but then he smiled, as if there was nothing that could ruin his mood. “Okay! And when Ava is big enough, she can slide down with me!”

“She sure can!” Stiles rubbed his hands up and down Elijah’s back as he sat up, Elijah clinging to him. He stood up with his five-year-old monkey-son and grabbed the beaten cardboard.

Stiles walked toward Derek and Elijah promptly dropped off of him and ran to his father.

“Did you see us?!” he shouted excitedly.

“I did. You went so fast!” Derek replied, jiggling Ava in his arms. Stiles dropped the cardboard next to them and held his arms out for Ava, and Derek put their daughter into his arms.

“Hey baby girl,” Stiles said to her and she gurgled up at him. He smiled and nuzzled against her cheek, which made her squeal with excitement and wiggle her arms out of her blankets. “No, no. It’s so cold out here. Even if you are a baby werewolf.”

“Let’s go again!” Elijah grabbed Derek’s hand and he chuckled.

“Alright, alright. Grab the cardboard and give me a few seconds. I’ll meet you up at the top of the hill. Okay, kiddo?” Derek walked with Eli until he grabbed the beaten-up cardboard and they watched as Eli ran up the snowy hill.

“So. I’m glad you survived your crash with the snow hill,” Derek said softly as he wrapped his arms around Stiles and Ava. He chuckled and kissed Stiles gently, then nuzzled into his neck and breathed deeply.

It sent warmth through Stiles all over, even as Ava squeaked as she was squeezed between her parents. “Well, I’m more durable than you or anyone else thinks. You know, being an Omega we have to be since we give birth and all that.”

“You’ve got a point,” Derek replied and brushed his nose against Stiles’. “You are the most amazing person I’ve ever met. You’ve given us two children—” Derek leaned back just enough to move his hand down to Stiles’ nearly flat belly. “And we have another one on the way.”

Stiles grinned and thought about the family they were growing. He knew that Ava was only about six months old, but Stiles was excited about his recent pregnancy results. He’d told Derek that he wanted to try every time he went into heat and they were more than ecstatic when his results came back positive.

“Do you want a boy or a girl?” Stiles asked as he cradled Ava to his chest, pulling her blanket around her.

“Either is fine with me,” Derek replied. “You know that.”

“I know… I just wanted to know if I should be buying more boy or girl clothes. And if I should be making up the new nursery.” Stiles knew they didn't care if they had a boy or girl and they’d love their child either way, but Stiles also liked the idea of giving Derek more sons to help build the Hale pack up again after their loss.

He wanted the Hale pack to be great like it was during their reign over this territory. Over Derek’s home.

“It’ll all work out,” Derek replied and chuckled. “Maybe we’ll have twins. After all, it runs in my family.”

Stiles laughed softly, the thought of twins both exciting and terrifying him. He imagined how huge he’d get with two babies in him and how he’d have to care for Ava while pregnant with twins.

“Daddy!” Elijah shouted from the top of the hill.

“Our son awaits,” Derek teased and kissed Stiles again. “We’ll be right back. Probably crashing into a snow hill too.”

“We’ll be here waiting.” Stiles watched as Derek hurried up the hill to join Elijah. He situated them on the cardboard just like he and Elijah had been earlier and then they were screaming as it hurtled them toward the snow hill.

When they crashed, there was nothing but laughter and flailing until Derek and Elijah were lying in the snow making snow angels.

It might have been chilly out, but the day was perfect and Stiles knew that Christmas would be special this year, especially because it would be Ava’s first Christmas and Elijah’s first as a big brother.

And within six months their pack would grow. Stiles pressed a hang against his belly, hopeful for the best of both worlds.

With Christmas music playing in the background, it’s time for Derek and Stiles to decorate for the holidays. Do they pull out old, familiar ornaments as they reminisce about past Christmases? Or are they building new traditions, weaving fresh memories into each tinsel and bell? Either way, it will be a perfect little Christmas moment. 

December 3 - 9: “Let it snow.” 

The weather outside might be frightful, but that won’t stop Derek and Stiles from enjoying the snow. Whether they’re building snowmen, throwing snowballs, or making snow angels, they’re bound to have a fun time. 

December 10 - 16: “Winter Wonderland.” 

This holiday season, Stiles and Derek can look forward to snow-covered landscapes, twinkling lights, and quaint little shops full of festive cheer. Maybe they wander through town, observing the festive decorations. Or perhaps they find joy in small moments, as they slide down a big, wintery hill. No matter how they choose to spend their day,  laughter is guaranteed. 

December 17 - 23: “All I want for Christmas.”

Christmas wishes are abundant this winter season, whether that means Eli wants the latest toy on the market, or Stiles wants to spend time with his family and pack during the holiday season. Perhaps Derek is spending his time shopping for the perfect present for his mate and pup, or Stiles is trying to create the perfect holiday atmosphere leading up to Christmas. Either way, Stiles and Derek spend the holiday together, sharing winter feelings and love this chilly season.

December 24 - 30: “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.”

It's Christmas time, whether that's in Beacon Hills, New York, or somewhere else around the globe where Stiles and Derek are celebrating Christmas. Maybe they're at home, sharing their first Christmas as a couple, or it's Eli's first Christmas with the Pack. Either way, the gifts and love they share will warm their hearts this Christmas season.

Summary:

…or the one where Stiles and Derek created new traditions.

Stiles leaned back against Derek's chest, his face damn near frozen from the winter's chill. But it was worth it as they slid down the hill on a shared sled, their laughter peeling through the crisp air. Snow flurried around them in a whimsical dance, blanketing the world in a silent hush. Moments like these reminded Stiles of the beauty in simplicity, the pure joy of just being with someone he cared about.

When he met Derek a few months ago, he never imagined he'd find himself here, wrapped up in a scene straight out of a holiday card. But life was full of surprises. Now he had a mate, a partner in crime. His very own grumpy werewolf to cuddle with on cold nights.

They tumbled off the sled at the bottom of the hill in a heap of limbs. Derek's breath came out in short puffs of white as he chuckled, helping Stiles to his feet. Their gazes met, and there was a warmth there that had nothing to do with temperature—a connection that sparked and settled in a comfortable silence.

Stiles leaned in, burying his face in the crook of Derek's neck and took a moment to just breathe in the scent of him—earth, pine, and a hint of leather from his jacket. It was grounding amidst the cold and chaos of the world.

"We should do this more often. Make it a tradition," Stiles murmured, his words muffled against Derek's skin. "Come out here for the first snowfall of the year."

Derek nodded, wrapping an arm around Stiles's shoulders and pulling him close. They stood there, sharing body heat and unspoken promises, before Derek pulled back. The corner of his mouth ticked up in a familiar half-smile. "Now, let's get you home before you turn into a popsicle. A Stiles-sicle."

Stiles laughed, the sound mingling with the wind that picked up, causing the trees to sway gently as if in agreement. Derek grabbed the sled and Stiles took his hand before they started back up the hill, their footsteps leaving a temporary mark on the freshly fallen snow.

Thirty minutes later, they were back at Derek's place, shedding their wet clothes at the door. Stiles wasn't immune to the cold like Derek, so he raced to Derek's room, pulling on a pair of sweatpants and one of Derek's oversized sweaters that smelled just like him, which gave Stiles an immediate sense of comfort and warmth.

Just as he was slipping his feet into a cozy pair of fuzzy socks, Derek walked in, two steaming mugs of hot chocolate in his hands, the marshmallows bobbing on the surface like tiny, sweet buoys.

He set one on the dresser and handed the other to Stiles, who accepted it with a grateful smile, wrapping his hands around the warmth of the cup.

"Thanks," Stiles said, bringing the rim to his lips and taking a cautious sip, the rich chocolate flavor instantly soothing. "This could be a tradition, too."

"Anything for you," Derek replied, his tone soft, eyes lingering on Stiles a moment longer than necessary before he grabbed a pair of sweats from the drawer. After quickly changing, he joined Stiles on the edge of the bed, their sides touching lightly. It was these small moments, comfortable and shared between them, that seemed to stitch the seams of their relationship even tighter.

Derek took a sip from his mug and then, ever so gently, bumped his shoulder against Stiles's. "You warm enough now?"

Stiles nodded, feeling the heat spreading through his body, not just from the hot chocolate and the sweater but from Derek's closeness as well. "Yeah, I'm good."

Outside, the wind howled, but inside, everything was peaceful and perfect as they sat in silence, savoring their drinks and each other's company.
