a couple of small additions to my steddie/stobin mummy au brainrot

the americans could SO be jason carver and his little posse. like something slight catharsis when they're punished by the mummy. imagining carver as rick's former fellow soldier, who ran from the battlefield and started scamming explorers/treasure hunters with the promise of hamunaptra. but he could also just be the leader of the americans-- cocky and uncaring of others' warnings. which actually i think i prefer and fits better

ALSO robin as evie being kidnapped by imhotep or his fic equivalent and him trying to sacrifice her to try and resurrect his former lover, and robin like "this is why i don't fuck with men"

steve "i don't know it's kind of romantic that his mission in death was always to get her back"

eddie "i'm not going to do dark magic for you steve." except that he did consider it for a second

and HA skipping all the way forward to the mummy 3: tomb of the dragon warrior. dustin being their kid and on their little adventure in china, he meets suzie. i think that would be a little tasty to me but also i really haven't thought about the logistics of all that.

okay, but where's my steddie AU where steve wants to learn to play guitar to impress a girl he's infatuated with and he remembers that munson kid was always hanging up posters for his weird band at school, so he hikes out to eddie's usual dealing spot behind the track and asks (with far less groveling than he really should have) if eddie will teach him how to play, and obviously eddie says no because why would he want to help king steve, but of course, steve offers to pay him, $20 a week, and well, that's the kind of get-the-hell-out-of-this-shithole-town cash eddie really can't afford to refuse, so fine, he'll teach steve to play and they'll spend inordinate amounts of time together tucked away in eddie's room and they'll start to see that they have more in common than they thought and that they kind of had each other all wrong, and eddie will put his hand over steve's to help him get the placement for a tricky chord and it totally won't awaken anything in either of them?? where is it??

I want those handful of shots with gears clearly turning to be the story, the possible implications of every hesitation. Thinking about a Metroid movie and what they might do with Ridley. On one hand if it’s made to be a science fiction horror film, personifying him as not speaking any human language, but being this terrifying unknown enemy would be pretty cool. like on par with the Alien movies Metroid was based on.

But on the other hand if Nintendo goes with the old comic portrayal of him being one of those weirdo bad guys, with the movie having a more anime based tone, he could be voiced by Steve Buscemi and that would be hilarious
