WOWP AU

I need to plague the world with my AU where Zeke is a wizard and Stevie's older brother and they both try to fight against the wizarding rules of getting rid of their powers (because holy shit that's fucked up). Zeke ends up letting Stevie control most of the rebellion because Zeke realizes he's in love with Justin but he doesn't know Justin is a wizard so he has to come to the realization that he will have to go through this rebellion or try to win the family wizard competition or lose his powers entirely. (Stevie being a terrible sister never tells Zeke that Justin is a wizard because she wants to give Zeke a reason to be a part of the rebellion) I don't know there's probably more but that's my ramble about them.

anyway wizards of waverly place is next on the table for disney channel reboots so here are my thoughts

• they’re almost definitely going to do the ravens house thing where the russo siblings are the parents and the main focus is on their kids and their wizard competition. i think they should be max’s kids NOT alex’s

• max inherits the sub shop at the end of the show, i like the idea that he’s actually running it successfully because it’s not what you’d expect him to be doing. married with probably three kids and is the goofy dad. jerry and theresa are enjoying their retirement but occasionally come in as grandma and grandpa

• i think a plotline or a special focusing on max wishing he had been the family wizard/temporarily getting evil powers from a genie or something would be fun, explore that he never had a fair shot

• max’s kids should not be alex justin max clones i feel strongly about this they need their own personalities and dynamic

• alex has been running around the world having chaotic magic adventures to disguise the fact that she still has absolutely no idea what she wants to do. ‘being a wizard’ isn’t really a job

• ends up back on waverly place after she gets in trouble with the wizard council for almost blowing up big ben or something and for community service has to teach a class at wiztech, where max’s kids go

• suspects the real punishment is having to answer to justin at work

• the alex vs alex special sets up that the siblings kind of go their separate ways after the show so i think she’s actually getting to know max’s family while she reconnects with hers. fun aunt who uses magic irresponsibly

• justin is still head of wiztech and exactly the same. he does not like that he has to supervise alex any more than she does. think a bit where max’s kids respect him wayyy too much as their smart wizard uncle until alex comes back and embarrasses him within one conversation would be fun he’s still a loser

• juliette is married to justin and i’d add in something like ‘vampires can choose to age’ to the lore to explain why she’s doesn’t look like a teenager. they play fast and loose with monster rules this would be nothing. plotline about once they reach a certain age she wants to turn justin into a vampire so she doesn’t have to get that old (again)

• they have one wizard-vampire kid, who isn’t bad but is very cocky. smug about not having to do a wizard competition, rival to one of max’s kids

• harper is, canonically, a fantasy author in the future, and writes about the wizards’ adventures like they’re fictional. alex is crashing at her place while she’s in town. i also want zeke to still be around and think it would be funny if he had an absurdly high powered job like he ran nasa or something

• dramatic mason return as an old flame of aunt alex’s

• would love to see stevie return (basically died but you could say the rebellion glued her back together) potentially as part of a storyline about the wizard competition being fucked/the wizard council being kind of evil

• in terms of plotlines the wizards universe contains every monster and if you characterised the russo kids (2 !!) well enough you could just put them in situations. they fight baba yaga a gargoyle comes to life accidentally etc etc

• arguably the disney reboot with the most potential to be good and every cast member has expressed interest this isn’t just possible it’s coming

Can we get winter or pre-christmas headcanons of the squad? =-)

Okay so let’s talk about how the squad spend Christmas itself, shall we? Does that count? Cuz I kind of wrote this for this ask by mistake :x

Coltzi don’t always have Christmas on Christmas *Day* as Franzi has such a job in a field that doesn’t exactly stop for Christmas and so each Christmas, until Franzi finds out the hours she’ll be working, they never know if she’ll be around for Christmas. And thus, Colt and his family have began a tradition of having a “Christmas Day” during the time that she has off BEFORE Christmas. The family have a meal and some drinks, exchange gifts, watch a Christmas movie and then on actual Christmas day, once (or before, depending on hours) Franzi is done with work, she and Colt head over to spend some time with her family.

For Mean, Jean’s mother doesn’t give them much choice ��� it’s going to visit her and Mr. K whether they like it or not. Mrs. K loves her Jeanbo to pieces, but boy howdy does she love Maddy too, So as soon as they get to the Kirsch house Jean is pushed into the living room with his Dad, whilst Maddy is dragged to the kitchen where she and Mrs. K bake about a billion different things. Cakes and puddings and Mrs. K actually even makes her own Christmas Pudding over the year! They exchange gifts after dinner and then normally they go visit Maddy’s parents.

Erwin had never really been *big* on Christmas. Sure, he’d be excited as a child and to see Santa and everything and then after his father passed away and it was just him and his Mom… well, things were never the same. And then Ji came along, Ji loves Christmas with a passion and will literally start celebrating at the end of November if she can get away with it. And so Erwin has become used to Mariah Carey being blast out and lights strung round the house. And seeing how happy Christmas makes Ji has made Christmas magical to them. They tend to go and visit his mother and Ji’s family over the course of Christmas day, then they hit up all the sales the day after whilst they’re both still off work. Erwin hasn’t told Ji, but he’s secretly excited for when there is *someone else* to share the Christmas magic with.

Marvie have a big, extended family. Stevie has a bunch of siblings and her eldest sister has children and Marco has younger siblings and so Christmas tends to be a big thing for them because Stevie’s niblings wanna see Auntie Stevie and Uncle Marco at Christmas and the Bodt siblings wanna see their older brother and his girlfriend and so they tend to spend Christmas Eve with Stevie’s family, so they can be there for present unwrapping with the kids, as they’re younger than Marco’s siblings, they have dinner too. And then they swing by Marco’s house for games and food in the evening with Marco’s family. Much like Ji and Erwin, Boxing Day is for them and they tend to head home and spend some time together before heading back to work.

Much like Mrs. K, Carla Jaegar tends to want to dominate Christmas and have every one around her. That means that she’s expecting to have Erena spend a good chunk of the day with her, if they don’t sleep over on Christmas Eve, as well as having both Mikasa and Zeke there too. And everyone (including Zeke, who has nothing better to do with his own mother being dead) tend to kind of play into her hands because they all hate the idea of Grisha being called away at Christmas and leaving her all alone. So she feeds everyone, Rena helps out with the cooking, Zeke and Eren have awkward af father/son time with Grisha and then they will go and visit Rena’s parents before or after all of this.
