I honestly don’t get how many people get upset about the notion of putting down an animal that attacks people? Like dude? Yeah it’s 100% reasonable to eat the goddamn rooster that slashed up your kid’s face. It eliminates the problem and it’s delicious. Americans are so squeamish about death that they either refuse to acknowledge that the meat they get from the store comes from an animal that was once alive or they decide that no animals should ever be eaten ever under any circumstances and both are utterly dipshit opinions.

#this is goggles #still bewildered by that gal in the science lab the other day who genuinely did not know that meat comes from animals #still bewildered that my ex would’ve rather kept his evil cat that nearly cost me my eye and then guilted me over not allowing it in my home #still bewildered by other kids in my class when I was a kid myself having a crying meltdown over my rabbit foot keychain #still bewildered that people are extremely freaked out by vintage furs and won’t even touch them #I feel like everyone is so utterly disconnected from the reality of nature by the hyperconsumerist values that get propagandized to us #sit in a sterile box all day buy all your food from the store sit down and watch tv and never meaningfully experience being a part of nature #meat is cruel? damn tell me about what happens when deer populations boom out of control when they’re not being hunted #killing an animal is always cruel? damn tell me about how we humans selectively bred dogs thousands of years ago #death is just like a part of living #it is morally neutral to eat
