The reader goes home with Freddie and meets the rest of his family (besides the ones who are already at Hogwarts) and she’s nervous, or something like that 🙃

Warnings: Slight insinuation of s*x, literally blink and you’ll miss it, I just needed to add Fred being a smug bastard for a second😂

A/n: Thank you so much for the request, love! I really hope you like it. It’s unedited... again... lol

You were nervous. You were really nervous. When Fred asked you to come home with him for part of the summer and to meet the rest of his family, you hadn’t thought twice about saying yes. But now as you sit on the hogwarts express, you wish you would have thought about the amount of stress this is putting on you.

Of course you knew your nerves were unnecessary, the way Fred talked about his family had always made your heart warm. There was no need to be so anxious about meeting Fred’s parents or his older siblings, Fred loved you and he assured you his family would as well.

“Stop fidgeting, love, everything is going to be fine,” Fred chuckled at you. Pulling you closer to him so your head was laying on his shoulder as opposed to the train window.

“I know. I don’t know why I’m so nervous,” you sighed, placing a random kiss onto Fred’s shoulder.

Fred smiled warmly down at you again pulling you even closer so that your head was nuzzled into the crook of his neck. Fred placed a kiss to the top of your head, glad that his brother and Lee weren’t there to tease the two of you. Especially in your nervous state. “Everything is going to be fine love. They are going to adore you.”

Your nerves were slightly calming when you met Aurthor Weasley at the train station. The man welcomed you with open arms after greeting his children. “Why, you must be the girl Fred is always talking about? Got the trouble maker wrapped around your finger, you do. Do you by any chance know the proper use of a rubber duck?” You couldn’t help but laugh at the strange question. “They're toys for very young children,” you giggled out, feeling so much more at ease, though still nervous about meeting the rest of Fred’s family.

“Oh Merlin,” you couldn’t help but mutter as you arrived at the burrow. The very tall house taking your breath away. Although the place was old and the building materials were mix matched in some places and the edges were uneven and patched over in others, you thought the place was beautiful. And what it lacked in demonstrating value it made up for in character.

“I know it’s not much,” Fred mumbled from beside you, rubbing the back of his neck. He knew you didn’t care about how much money his family had, especially since the two of you were about to graduate next year, and start your own lives, but the slight insecurity that came with growing up poor always managed to sink in.

“Fred, it's amazing,” you reassured, “how did you they even manage to get the house that tall.” Fred let out a relieved chuckle, muttering an ‘I don’t know’ as the two of you finally followed the rest of the family inside.

“Y/n we can go ahead and put your trunk in my room,” Ginny suggested as she moved to help you move your luggage. When you were done you opted to help her move her trunk as well before making your way into the small living area and sitting in a chair across from the couch where Fred and George were sitting.

“Dad said Mum went to town to get some things for dinner, Charlie won’t be here for another couple of hours and Bill is still at work,” George informed you. You nodded in response as the boys started playing a very intense game of Wizard chess. You grabbed a book from your bag, deciding to pass the time with reading. That is until an hour later, when your nerves came back in full force.

You couldn’t help your fidgety nature, you knew that Molly Weasley would be returning at any minute followed by the rest of Fred’s brothers. You knew Molly Weasley was a very caring woman and Fred had assured you over and over that she would absolutely love you. Yet here you were sitting in the middle of the Weasley home feeling like you were about to take a poisons exam. You were excited to meet Fred’s family, and you wondered if your need for their approval was what was causing your incessant nerves.

“Y/n? Are you okay,” you jumped at Fred’s voice, startling from your nervous haze.

“Ye-yeah I’m fine,” you replied, forcing a tight lipped smile. Fred furrowed his brows at your response, giving you a sympathetic look.

Fred new your nerves were killing you, and it surprised him more than anything. He was so excited to introduce his family to the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, but now he was thinking that it may be too much for you. “Love, come sit with me,” Fred smiled softly, moving the Wizard chess board off the couch and scooting over just a bit so that you had room to sit on the other side of him. He then leaned over to George whispering something and gesturing off toward the kitchen. George gave Fred a small nod, sending a glance your way before nodding again and making his way to the kitchen.

You got up from the chair, placing your book down on the coffee table as you made your way over to sit with fred. When you sat down Fred immediately put his arm around you, pulling you closer and placing a kiss to your forehead.

“I’m sorry, Freddie, I know I have no reason to be nervous, I’m just excited and I really want them all to like me. I don’t mean to worry you.” You mumbled into freds chest.

“Love, you don’t have to apologize. Everything is going to be okay. I love you, and if you're not ready for this it’s okay.” Fred replied, pulling back to meet your eyes.

“No. I’m ready. Will you just hold my hand the entire time?” You chuckle out.

Fred gives you a wide grin, “am I the only one who thinks that request sounds very familiar?” Your cheeks flushed bright red at that, and you wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug look off of Fred’s face but your embarrassment was crippling.

“Fred!” The boy's grin only grew, leading you to hide your face in your hands.

“Come on, love, I’m only joking. Of course I’ll hold your hand.” The smug look on Fred’s face was gone now as he assured you. The ginger lacing your fingers with his, bringing your hand up to his mouth and placing a kiss to the back of your hand.

When Molly arrived home she greeted you as if you were her own. Giving you a large hug as soon as Fred introduced you. And all you worries melted away as she started to talk about how much Fred had mentioned you, giving you warm smiles all the while.

Bill and Charlie welcomed you just as enthusiastically when they arrived, Bill saying that you were lovely and he was glad you were there. Charlie hugged you much like Molly had chuckling out “when’s the wedding?” Just to tease you and Fred. As expected both of your faces turned red.

Fred was so happy to see you interacting with his family, his heart warming as everyone acted as if you had always been around. He noticed that your nerves were completely gone and that you adjusted quickly to the packed household. And as he stood there holding your hand. He knew that this was the girl he was going to marry.

   “ ah-ah!” he felt like he was in his classroom, he made his hand gesture, about to shoot a web to keep her from leaving. but that might’ve been a big mistake. instead, reaching out to grab a hold of her wrist. moving his hand up, taking his finger and tracing it over her arm. lifting her sleeve just a bit to reveal a few marks. “ okay, who can hit hard enough that they can do that...to you? supergirl or not, you still need to rest...don’t you?” he asked, with a little more of a genuine curiosity. did she even need sleep? if something could leave a mark on her, she must’ve needed rest too, right?

“ even if it that does get healed quickly...it can’t be a bad idea to take it easy for one evening. plus, if you do stick around...I promise to get food. food for you. I mean. not just food for me. in case that wasn’t clear.”
