worst thing about living near washington DC is that a certain horrible past president will use your towns and important historical sites as a backdrop just like an influencer uses national parks. Also your neighbors can literally be on the fucking Supreme Court or congress. Also traffic

the target thing is really frustrating to watch because i actually follow abprallen and have for a while and he just put out a statement on his instagram and target straight up pulled his collection and did not alert him, and are not defending him, and have just left him to the wolves. im hesitant to judge lgbt people for working on corporate pride collections bc there is nuance to the issue, this does prove one thing: corporations do not care about us, and never have, and never will. they care about money, they care about press, they care about being palatable. they do not care about us.

Hkjllkkk okay what do y'all think I received an offer for this company right after my interview, but the interview took 15 minutes at most and they never suggested meeting in person. It's a legit company but the ratings are like 2/5, the hours are all over the place, and oh yeah I would have to share a hotel room with a co-worker up to 4 times a week while leaving my car & apt behind that whole time. they want me to drive other people to places in a company van too & I'm not feeling it however I DO need money soon

People really need to learn to be more chill about who uses the electric carts at stores and perceived visible and invisible disabilities.
I’ve only used carts twice for my sprained ankle, but I probably should be using them every time at big stores so I don’t hurt it worse.
The first time, the only nice person about it was an elderly black lady who called me sweetheart and told me to use it for whatever reason and not apologize and I almost cried 🥹🥹
Tonight (the second time), I had a lady audibly say to her teenage daughter “why does SHE need THAT.” My ankle brace for the sprain isn’t super visible, but even if you can’t see it YOU SHOULD RESPECT SOMEONE’S NEED FOR ASSISTIVE DEVICES.
Be kind out there and remember that people’s disabilities or illnesses may not always be visible, but people always know when they need a little extra relief or assistance.

The bethesda fallout "nobody worked since the war so people are eating 100 year old canned food and are living in the ruins of old buildings" vs the sci-fi/fantasy "we forgot that work goes into producing food so it just magically appears"
