WIP WEDNESDAY WHENEVER

I got tagged by @ghostoffuturespast and @chevvy-yates for WIP Wednesday Whenever. It is Wednesday where I am so that works out!

Firstly, things that are no longer WIP:

I made a mod!

I'm working on creating some tattoo replacers for the Johnny + V tattoo. The first release is Ros + V and So Mi + V, for all the dedicated SongV and Myers x V shippers out there. If you're looking for a fairly innocuous display of your V's OTP, look no further!

I have plans to expand this to the most popular Phantom Liberty characters, including Colonel Hansen, Bennett, Jago, Reed and Alex. Suggestions are welcome.

Now, WIP:

I'm going to be honest, I haven't written shit this week... but that's because I'm working on CyberNoir 1957 and a couple of other photo stories.

CyberNoir 1957

CyberNoir 1957 is Cyberpunk, but with a Noir influence, occuring within the Brother's Shadow timeline. Val, the half-sister of Vincent 'V' Gonzalez, and known to be a member of the Mox, follows Judy's story arc as a 1950s Private Eye. Currently, she's investigating the hive of debauchery known as 'Clouds' in search for Judy Alvarez's 'friend' Evelyn.

Part 3 of CyberNoir will come out by the end of the week.

I Made a Cop AU

Your eyes do not deceive you. I introduce to you Detective Valerie Ocampo-Gonzalez, NCPD.

Testing the NCPD V Equipment mod and I made a theoretical Val, if she decided against joining the Mox and became a Badge instead. Obviously, Judy does not approve and they stop being friends, so Val marries Melanie.

Val also becomes close friends with River Ward and... Harold Han (aka the guy who covered up the assassination of Lucius Rhyne for Weldon Holt). River does not initially trust Val, partly because she had connections to a gang, and partly because Han had warmed up to her so quickly. Eventually, Val works with V (a completely original V, not sure if I want them to be Masc or Fem yet) and River to unveil the truth behind Rhyne's death, and River finally trusts her, resulting in this exchange...

(I genuinely like River, but he's not really Val's type).

The President's Lady

Still plugging away at Chapter 4. I want to develop the relationship between Vega and Myers a little bit before we go back to the Reed POV as he begins his dark descent into treason.

The Presidential AV sat on the White House lawn, the port access door flanked by a pair of Marines in Dress Blues. They saluted as the President approached, having changed into her iconic suit once more. Myers adjusted her Aviators, returning their salute as she boarded the AV. V followed closely behind. Myers held her hand out to V, “Up you get.” V took her hand. One of the Marines flinched slightly, perhaps shocked, perhaps angered. Either way, it was not their place to question the President’s decisions. With all passengers accounted for, one of the Marines boarded, and the other helped seal the hatch, backing away as the green and white Presidential AV lifted off the turf, the wash of its engines blowing grass out of the ground as it lifted up and away.

Hand holding!? Scandalous!

Do you have a favorite lifepath for V? I've done Streetkid and Nomad so far and I like both, but Streetkid is probably my favorite. Don't feel like doing Corpo tbh. I know it's not a huge deal gameplay-wise but roleplaying is important ;)

I've played all three lifepaths out of curiosity but streetkid Val is my favorite by far. Nomad Vincent fits most for him, imo, but I'm a Valerie enjoyer all the way ain't no doubt about it. Streetkid feels the most fitting for the game, imo. Nomad is second place if I had to choose.

The dialogue choices for corpo can be pretty great though. I love the corpo response for the Barghest soldier who escorts V and Reed out after the party. I recommend watching that whole video actually.

The priestess (OC):

Born in Elvhennan, her name was shed when she gave her life in service to Falon'din. She leads part of the army of the faithful during the war between the Gods in the Ancient Age. She’s a blood and force mage. Her vallaslin spreads from her face to her whole body and is black, she also has countless scars. She has dark, rich skin and always has bags under her eyes due to lack of sleep.

Maxima Aurum (OC):

Maxima is the eldest of her seven half brothers and sisters, born from an elven slave and magister Aurum. Maxima is the face of the Aurum working as a diplomat and the business point of contact with the family. Having her freedom bought as a child and brought to Orlais, her childhood was a flash of places and of rejections: from the alienage, to the circle to the Orlesian court, singing to Noblemen and women alike. Returning only when her father’s letter finds her way to her.

An expert diplomat, always using her easy smile, and sharp wit to maneuver the battlefiels that the Orlesian and Tevinter politics are.

Anora Theirin (Dragon Age Canon):

Anora is a canon character from the Dragon Age Universe, appearing in Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age Inquisition (dependent).

Abel de Clair (OC):

Oldest son of a family of minor nobility in Orlais. The first in a very long time to gain the title of Chevalier. Joined the side of Grand-Duke Gaspard de Chalons during the Civil War of Orlais (or, The War of the Lions) and died in the Exalted Plains. It is said that his father died from grief upon hearing of Abel’s death.

I usually write him as having survived with a lot of injury. His main mission being to find where his sister is.

Émilie de Clair (OC):

Youngest daughter of a family of minor nobility in Orlais. Was sent to the White Spire in the beginning of her teen years. When the war between templars and mages erupted she was punished for an escape attempt. The objective was to break the phylacteries, but it failed. Émilie had to rely on blood magic for the explosion. The templars that survived dragged her to the lower dungeons where they drowned her.

Usually write her as having survived the drowning attempt. Her main mission is to keep the mage group she is with safe and find her brother.

Moe (OC):

She was meant to start her own career in the Imperial Machine ( or what she calls it ) when she started tinkering with ships and droids. Instead, Moe left the Empire in her teenage years to become a full blown pirate stealing both from the Republic (resistence) and the Empire.

Vivian “V.” Hinomoto (Cyberpunk PC):

v. is the main character of the game cyberpunk 2077 (streetkid origin). She is an easy going, smart mouth, stealth specialist. My default canon has Val and Vince in her background.

the All-Father, Elvhen God of Vengeance, Sun, fatherhood. Leader of the Evanuris. Wielder of the skies.

I will keep my interactions based on ancient Elvhenan. It might happen that I interact with others with him as a spirit. I’m working on an idea on what sort of host Elgar'nan would have sought (much like Mythal did with Flemeth), but I’m still working on it.

Mythal (Dragon Age Canon):

so in the main canon of the game, i've made three v's. one for each lifepath. Vincent my streetkid, his twin sister Valerie, my corpo, and Vyper my nomad

i've made Vin and Val's stories work together, i'm trying to see if i can work Vy into it so i can save myself from making another multiverse but my sweet roaming boy may just have to be on his own

WIP WHENEVER

Firstly, I am in the middle of like 6000 IRL things at the moment, all work related. There will be some periods of silence while things change and I get settled in. Trust me, I haven't given up, I've just got pressing real life stuff to focus on.

What does all this shit mean? Well, if I ever go back to writing long-form prose fanfiction, the story is going to focus on these two goobers in the year 2099 (it's a canon event):

Who are these goobers? These goobers are the children of Trey Marshall and Val.

Introducing my newest OCs: Chara Ocampo-Gonzalez and Lincoln Ocampo-Gonzalez, who are fraternal twins.

Chara Ocampo-Gonzalez

Chara just beat Lincoln out of the womb by about an hour, technically making her the older sibling. She inherits a lot from her father: her loyalty, her drive and her sense of family. She also inherits Trey's eyes.

Chara's going to be a Solo. She's inherited her mother's Crystaljock jacket, tendency to code-switch under pressure.

Lincoln Ocampo-Gonzalez

I'm not quite done with Lincoln's appearance yet, but I will post when it's ready. While Chara inherits a lot of her father's traits, I think that Lincoln will be more like his mother, appearance-wise, while Chara clearly takes more after Trey.

He's also going to be a netrunner, following his stepmum's footsteps (if you weren't aware, Melanie is a netrunner).

I have this cute story idea where Uncle V gives Lincoln his Samurai jacket. He says it's so 'people realise where you come from, and pick fights with people closer to your size.'
