"oh! right!" she says aloud, a little too high-pitched from where she's standing, back turned to him as she fills the first cup she'd put hands on, no clink accompanying the run of the tap. (the chief ice tray refiller of the apartment has been down for the count these last few days, so sorry about that!)

"it's, um…well, it's not, like, okay, but," fallon's rambling as she sits on one end of the couch, holding her blanket close with one hand and outstretching the glass with the other. "…we can talk about it."

hello, i'm looking for some new rp partners - are there any blogs that you think have a similar vibe to your own blog, writing-wise? are there any blogs, regardless of similarity, that you would highly recommend? preferably ocs over canons, but i'm open to either. thanks :)

Oh my god I get to gush about my moots. Please see below for all of the lovely options, keep in mind this list is in no order of preference as all of them are equally amazing. If you are not listed here, it doesnt mean I dont think your blog is cool, it just means we havent interacted enough either ic or ooc for me to form an opinion! ♡ Here we go!!

Starting off strong, we have @bcntbouquet and they are full of so many amazingly written oc's and some canons on their blogs mentioned in their pinned. They are the sweetest person ever and I have known them since the start of my blog. I will vouch for them until I am blue in the face and I would argue they need more recognition. Go yell at them affectionately!

We have some new editions, @darkwavedreams , @morgansmornings , and @morb1dg1rl . They all are excellently written muses who exudes the feminine energy and gives plenty of personality to go with it. You can tell these muses were written with alot of love and care and they deserve to be cherished too!!

Then we have @razorfst , @whyscserious / @sheldoney , @glowsgreen / @vsevildead , and @monmuses . These are considered canons but they are all written so god damn well. Toastie, aka Monmuses has range out of this world and potentially has a muse for all of your rping needs from both anime, video games, and tv/movies. All of them are just as amazing and their characters are written so accurately, I cant help but wonder if they are secretly typing away to respond. Though I doubt Herbert would do anything, he would force Dan to do it. ANYWAY GO FOLLOW THEM ALL.

And two of my all time favorites who are both OC's and are representing poc are @bewitchingbaker and @brooklynislandgirl . Both of the admins behind the account are literal angels and will bounce ideas off you and make you feel like you are in their home being fed freshly baked cookies. Literally go give them some love since they are doing the rp community justice with their POC muses. WE NEED MORE POC MUSES.

@painmon and @hubrisdescent are both moots I knew for awhile now and while we dont rp much, behind the scenes the world building we have is immaculate. I love their muses so so much, please give them some love!!

And only because I have to throw a fluffy/cute muse in here @themcst is another one of my favorite blogs to look at when Im sad or having a really hard day. Their threads never fail to make me laugh and brighten my day all the while. They do also have an OC that they put alot of love into and their range is literally insane like????

Francis takes a slow drag off their spliff, eyes narrowing slightly as they watch the streetlights flicker against the hazy evening sky. The Viper Room’s neon glow paints the sidewalk in garish reds and purples, a backdrop of cigarette smoke, laughter, and the occasional drunken cheer spilling out into the night. They stand with one foot kicked up against the brick wall, leather jacket hanging open, its well-worn collar framing their sharp features.

“LTD Hues, huh?” They roll the name around in their mouth like they’re testing a new riff, glancing at Sam from the corner of their eye. “Guess I’ll stick around, see if they’ve got something worth stealing. Gotta be better than the guy I saw at Silverlake last week. Bassist couldn’t even stay on beat.” They blow out a cloud of smoke, half amusement, half frustration.

Their gaze shifts, trailing over the curls obscuring most of Sam’s face and landing on the lollipop stick poking out from his lips. It’s a juxtaposition—white leather jacket and shredded jeans screaming rockstar rebellion, paired with candy like a kid playing tough. Francis smirks, flicking ash off the tip of their spliff.

“Fenris Rivera,” they muse, tasting the name. “Big pull. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised—Disavowed’s name still sells out faster than tickets hit the web. And you… Mr. Stringmaster.” There’s a teasing lilt to their voice, golden eyes glinting under the low light. “Must be nice.”

Francis takes another drag, their lips curling around the filter as they watch Sam lean against the wall beside them. The buzz of the night hums in their ears, but their focus remains sharp, scanning every movement around the venue. Scouting wasn’t glamorous, but it was necessary, especially with Kerry sitting out and rumors swirling. The magic was delicate—a thread they couldn’t afford to snap, not if they wanted Midheavens to keep their rhythm steady.

“Think the new blood’ll hold up against you?” Francis asks, exhaling smoke in slow ribbons. There’s no malice in their tone—just genuine curiosity laced with that signature edge of confidence. “Might be hard to follow an act like Fenris Rivera.” They grin, sharp and knowing, tipping their head toward the door as the muffled thrum of a bassline spills into the street.

    𝐬𝐚𝐦  𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭  𝐨𝐟  𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭  𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞  𝐨𝐟  𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧  𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧  𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝  𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝.  like  any  hound,  he  ‘  s  not  really  any  good  without  a  master,  and  his  lead  singer  sibyl  inadvertently  filled  those  shoes  for  years.  him being a werewolf is truly just a funny coincidence. their  charisma  and  inexplicable  energy  made  them  someone  sam  would  follow  to  the  very  ends  of  the  earth,  and  that  band  had  been  their  baby.  the  best  years  of  his  life  were  spent  practically  living  at  the  top  of  the  charts and touring the world  with  the  friends  he  ’  d  made  for  life  since  the  age  of  sixteen.  alas,  all  good  things  must  come  to  an  end,  but  he  hung  on.  he  really  tried  to,  some  mysterious  magnetism  at  play  among  he  and  his  best  friend. 

he  had  no  concerns  about  sibyl  finding  their  footing  once  things  came  to  an  end;  they  ‘  d  launched  into  a  highly  successful  solo  career  practically  immediately,  and  while  he  hadn  ‘  t  doubted  their  talent  for  a  second  and  couldn  ‘  t  be  more  proud,  he  ’  s  much  more  dubious  about  his  own  prospects  .  .  .  even  though  things  are  going  quite  well.  disavowed  must  have  the  magic  touch  or  some  shit,  as  himself,  sibyl  and  former  rhythm  guitarist  franki  lee  (  frontman  and  lead  guitarist  of  condamnation  )  have  all  gone  on  to  have  fantastic  careers  outside  of  the  band.  being  called  a  dv  alum  is  an  honor  of  the  highest  degree,  like  being  in  the  most  exclusive  of  exclusive  clubs.  that  band  seems  to  spawn  talent  left  and  right,  and  it  can  all  be  traced  back  to  sibyl  ’  s  aptitude  for  connecting  people. 

god,  he  misses  them.

he  ‘  s  had  a  couple  side  projects,  one  being  a  blues  band  aptly  named  ‘  somehounds  ’  ,  and  each  has  seen  some  success  and  contributed  in  diversifying  his  musical  portfolio.  he  ‘  s  quite  a  well  -  known  musician;  alternating  between  bass  and  guitar  on  his  somehounds  stuff  in  particular.  he  hasn  ‘  t  been  playing  the  former  as  long  as  he  has  the  latter,  of  course  not,  but  he  ’  s  got  his  own  signature  style  regardless,  because  he  plays  the  thing  as  though  it  ‘  s  a  lead  guitar.  bass  solos  are  his  fuckin'  thing.  it  ‘  s  around  this  time  that  ‘  stringmaster  ’  has  become  a  prevalent  way  of  referring  to  him;  a  title  very  well  -  earned  over  almost  two  decades  of  honing  his  craft  and  experiences  most  musicians  can  only  dream  of,  yet  still  a  bit  embarrassing  .  .  .

     ❝  ltd  hues  is  on  the  bill  tonight,  they  ‘  re  really  fuckin’  good.  there  ‘  s  a  lot  of  hidden  gems  coming  out  tonight,  you  should  stick  around.  ❞      sam  is  the  one  who  answers in that deep voice of his,  wearing  mostly  black  as  usual;  cowboy  boots,  shredded  black  skinnies,  the  look  completed  by  a  shirt  with  an  anime  girl  with  her  tits  out  and  a  white  leather  jacket  with  black  racing  stripes  down  the  sleeves—  billows  of  curls  shielding  the  good  majority  of  his  face  and  the  stick  of  a  lollipop  sticking  out  of  his  own  lips  as  opposed  to  the  usual  cigarette. 

his  hounds  are  fronting  the  bill;  the  name  ‘  fenris  rivera  ’  placed  smack  center  on  the  promotional  material  to  draw  a  crowd.  and  boy  did  it  work;  he  had  a  fuckin'  time  trying  to  get  around  to  the  back  with  his  guys  so  that  they  could  actually  get  inside,  signing  autographs  for  hoards  people  wearing  disavowed  shirts,  and  taking  pictures  and  being  kissed  by  hot  chicks.  ( that  '  s  his  favorite  part,  actually! )

the  rest  of  the  hounds  keep  walking  into  the  venue,  but  there  ‘  s  still  a  bit  of  time  before  showtime,  and  they  ’  re  the  last  act  anyway (  as  is  common;  gotta  save  the  ‘  best  ’  act  for  last,  so  that  people  watch  the  show . )  so  he  stops  to  lean  against  the  wall  alongside  francis,  opting  to  shoot  the  shit  with  them  for  a  while.  ( or, at least until they are busted by overzealous fans. )

cd collection - fallon's cd & record collection is best described as eclectic. contained & organized; a milk crate or something similar would drive her up the wall. definitely an actual shelf/storage intended for CDs, with a zipper pouch for the favorites that get frequently brought out and about. as many people in their twenties' personal effects are, the assembly is a mix of favorite albums from home—the most loved among these are sky's the limit (the temptations), 3 + 3 (the isley brothers), and lady soul (aretha franklin), and her own growing tastes and style—diamond life (sade), uncle jam wants you (funkadelic), boi-ngo (oingo boingo), and h2o (hall & oates). if you're residing the timeline where she's with @stringmastery's samuel, you bet fallon's got a copy of disavowed's debut album. she listened to the whole thing through with him once, but this is more a sentimental item that's rarely touched otherwise. calendar for this month - rent's due! on the 1st, and that's already crossed off in blue pen. of course, lots, lots, and lots of shifts; she's likely picked up extra work trying make sure she's all set for the flight back home she's got scheduled for the 23rd. not a whole bunch else, since she's going home for the holidays. that's never a problem for her, quite the opposite in fact! but it's just busy, y'know?

"secret" hiding spot - if ever you're trying to track fallon down, and the building you're in has a fire escape, nine times out of ten, she's found it before you even heard about it. five most recent in contact list/phonebook/what have you - verse/ship agnostically organized... 1. her mother! daily, if not twice daily calls from home, straight from the landline or her mom's mobile.

2. work—a manager, a co-worker, or whichever professional etceras or so forths are likely to have hit fallon up recently, or her having just hit them up.

3. one of the roomies—bring milk on the way home, dude!

4. a friend or a partner—fallon is not much of an idle/conversational talker/texter, so it's rare for her to initiate a just-because communication.

5. her father! he's usually more a weekly, or 'quick shout over fallon's mom's shoulder' type when it comes to their talking.

Rockelle didnt mind collaborations, given that it was a part of being a musician. She didnt expect to meet with such an iconic one despite being so late in her career. She was one of the biggest names in her field and still found herself being starstruck with new clients.

Her manager brought him to her home as a way to help move things along. She gave a general idea for the song and left them to their own devices, leaving Rocky to do what she does best and thats creating music. "Ah...I will be honest, I am not well versed on using guitars in my songs. Always been a vocal person and make the music itself in a sound machine.." She mumbles, flipping through her music book, looking for ideas.

"I know you as a guitarist...you make alot of really recognizable sounds with it..but Im not sure how this would fit with my...softer and smooth tones. Any ideas my love?"

this hasn't been the best week of fallon's life. quite possibly the worst, but she's not stupid enough or hopeful enough to think this is the end all be all of what's coming down the pipe. the expected arrival date of her period two whole weeks ago had come and gone. alright, fine, whatever. that is, until, she'd passed out in the middle of the one o'clock rush last monday. definitely not as chill. and peak NOT FUCKING CHILL IN THE SLIGHTEST, MY GOD when the ER nurse hit her with the, "honey, did you know you're pregnant already?"

she'd had no hope of keeping this under wraps, and hadn't even attempted to endeavor to. she came home in ugly, snotty, panicked tears, informed her roommates between panicky gasps. the upside? it could only be one person. the downside? who that person was, fallon had no clue.

well, she had a clue. tia's boyfriend's really, really into rock, so tia's now really, really into rock, and all of tia's friends, fallon included, now have to be really, really into rock. the group'd ended up at some rock club in the village on a night out a couple months back. fal still can't tell you what'd led to all those drinks (peer pressure), but she can definitely tell you what'd drawn her over to the stranger with all that hair (vodka. and the hair.)

back to last week, when the question of who their friend had fucked came up—he said his name was fenron or fenris or something!—tia's boyfriend lost it. unbeknowst to fallon, she'd slipped and fallen onto the penis of the guitarist of a massively up-and-coming band. through a series of increasingly convoluted connections via the boyfriend and some skillful white pages navigation, she'd come up with a phone number. one that thankfully had an answering machine, on which she'd left a very rambly, very nervous message passing the news along. then, the waiting game started.

this is day four of the waiting game. she's in bed, having spun the wheel of symptoms and won semi-comatose fatigue haze!, when somebody starts trying to beat her front door down. fallon blinks, scowls, shuffles toward the front door with a blanket around her shoulders and is ready to, at worst, kind of grumble at whoever's there. she undoes the chain and—
