       ‘ that’s right ! ‘ could’ve FOOLED her; transparency isn’t the issue at hand. oh no, there’s just someone ( who’s CLEARLY had too much to drink ) that wants to do a backflip from somewhere that’s much too high to look even a little safe. alcohol makes his heart beat slow & in turn, his thoughts. they’re dragged along, sporadic in nature, & all about velma. with glazed eyes, he looks to her & smiles, offers quiet reassurance. ‘ they’ll be fine, i think. ‘ waves the wannabe stuntman off, turns her attention to a relaxed game of beer pong. no one wins at this game, but she doesn’t have to know.

       leans in closer to her to talk, music’s tolerable when it doesn’t dilute the message.‘ you wanna try ? i think you’d be a badass partner. ‘ nudges her lightly, partially in jest & partially to encourage her to at least entertain the idea.
