It makes sense. Because there is only one balding man in the world.

WIP WHATEVER

@olath124 tagged me for a WIP post. Thank you!

I am currently in the "I hate everything I do"-phase so it´s kinda hard to get anything done, but doing nothing feels even worse lmao.

So I finally managed to make a design for Aon´s clan-/business logo. Had some other sketches already but everything was way to playfull or had a huge amount of details and I wasn´t satisfied at all, so I threw it to the trash and started new (what was the right decision I think). Tried to go for a brutalism- look / very simple / bold / whatever-kind of thing. Just something you would expect to see in the Soviet Union while making business with some shady arms dealer.

It´s a combination of two rather simple thing: A Lynx and a very stylelized mine excavator wheel.

The Lynx is the animal I associate with her and it plays a small role in her lore too, so it had to be in the logo. The excavator symbolizez the abandonded mine she built her workshop in. I planned to include the name "Рысье логово" (translates to Lynx's den) aswell but everything I tried didn´t look really good so I just go without the font. Isn´t really necessary anyway. As you can see normally an excavator wheel has a lot more ...theeth? Shovel-things? Lmao you know what I mean hopefully. But I went with only five since I wanted to hide some values in it, that are very important for her and the people in her clan: Love, Forgiveness, Trust, Communication and Responsibility - basically some values every well-functioning family should have.

Did some really quick (and really bad) mockups for it aswell until I can put it into the game. Just wanted to see if all the small lines would work out or if I have to go bigger. But I guess it alright.

Ofc want to put it on her working clothes and maybe do a little pin for her other outfits. Besides that I want to put it on her motorbike (if I find one on Nexus or anywhere that looks like the one I imagine) and in her workshop somewhere on the wall (my to-do list is so over the top).

Yea that´s it for this week. I have a ridiculous amount of writing WIPs aswell but just throwing something here with no context feels kinda weird. So maybe next time when I overcome the first draft in any of my documents.

Have you ever done a write up on your painting stylel/tips?

Any leads on sourcing hex tiles for 10mm? Gonna have a go at these myself.

I am doing well! Thanks for reaching out! I have not written alot, unfortunately. I follow the Kevin Dallimore school of painting. He put out an excellent book, but it is out of print these days. Everything is layered up on a black base coat.

I did write a tutorial on painting knights for Wargames Soldiers and Strategy, but you'd have to buy a copy!

For the hexes, I have my base template here if you want to print them in plastic I have used wooden ones, but beware they will warp from glue or water. I have started using plastic for everything

btw the other day i was looking through like. my google docs and old fics i started writing but never finished/posted and stuff including this team red gc fic that is just. i cannot overstate how awful it is i will have to fully get into it later but it is. awful idk how like. i had an understanding of theres character at some point before this and ihave one now but i just so caught up in other characterizations that are. not good imo that just. its such a mess ill get into it more later but theres one passage from it that i do kinda like still and like. tbh i still dont think its very good like. idk its a verry. like memey ig typing stylel that i do not enjoy now (tho thts bc of how my typing style has changed i tihnk so DFHDFHD) and idk how i feel abt how everyone else is characterized but i think i still like the idea that like. shadowsan is in the team red gc but never uses it except when zack and ivy are talking about doing something they definatly shldnt dfhdfhdf)

SHADOWSAN IS SO GOOD IN FACT HE IS SO VERY REAL its the way he types with proper grammar as well....
