Also, some notes about what's going on:

Emmet arrives during the end credits festival and tries to get in, only to be turned away because his colors and face make people think "Zoroark!". So he temporarily sheds his coat and dons a Zoroark mask to hide his face (the irony). He loses his emotional support Joltik, Giselle, at some point and the rest is history.

I posted a while ago about how pre-PLA I'd acquired an Ingo figurine from the Partners Figure line, and intended on getting Emmet later, but then PLA came out, and the prices on any Submas merch skyrocketed. But I was lucky and found someone who was selling an Emmet for the lowest price I'd seen since PLA and ordered him.

Emmet arrived, and now they've been reunited, and in NYC Unova, no less.

For the photos I posed them next to a tapesty I have of a meadow and some mountains, but they're now on a section of my dresser with all my smaller Pokemon figurines, and my figurines of Team Rocket I've had since the year 2000.

(Dni if you create, reblog, or otherwise support fanworks where Submas are “unhinged”, “feral”, and/or mentally unwell for entertainment, etc or anything involving shipping Submas with anyone where anyone involved is “unhinged”, “feral”, mentally unwell, and/or abusive to each other for entertainment.

The idea that Emmet is the one that falls through to Hisui and Ingo doesn't even fight God, just picks up a megaphone and screams until he breaks time and space to find his brother is just really funny to me.

Novembmas, Day 26: Reunion / Hope !

[Emmet, holding a copy of the newspaper in his hands] "I-Ingo ?"

(^ "Reunion" prompt) Hmmm, I don't really like how I drew them running towards each other and hugging, but it was the first time I did those kind of poses so it'll do. (And also !! I tried to give them wrinkles since it is post PLA and since I didn't know how it'd look but still did it, I'll cut myself some slack)

On a positive note, I like how I did Rei and Akari :)

Ingo gently rubbed his fingers over the soft, yet firm, fabric of the white hat, its coat counterpart piled in his lap as he leaned against the bedpost.

It was remarkably familiar, and not only just because of how similar it was to his own coat and hat. Looking at it filled him with a strange warmth, one only eclipsed by the concern he felt for the man currently unconscious in the bed Ingo was laying against.

Submas AU

Prologue

My name is Ingo, I am a Subway Boss from Unova, one of two with my twin, Emmet. I spent multiple years stuck in Hisui, the Sinnoh region of the past, with no memory of who I was or where I came from besides my name. I have returned, reunited with Emmet, a two-car train once again but…. I am not... I have changed. Human?... Maybe. Pokémon? I’m not sure. Whatever I am now, I cannot help but look in the mirror, and see that I… that we are no longer the same.

Emmet, he tries comfort me, says it does not matter to him what I look like, that all that matters is I am home. And I know there is truth in that, that he is truly just happy I have returned. But, sometimes, I can see it in his eyes… what is it? Sadness? Pity? I do not know, but it brings a pain to my heart when I see it.

I’m creating and au with my friend @koraidons-wheels and this seemed like a good first piece to post.

What’s wrong with ingo? What does he mean that he is changed? Heheh stick around for future parts to find out.

SubMas Kimi no Na WA AU.

Ingo and Emmet are separated by time and space, and due to legendary shenanigans, neither remembers the other, but still goes about their days feeling something missing and trying to find it.

Until one day, they wake up in the other's body.

Ingo is confused by how familiar everything is, but not remembering anything initially. He sort of goes about in a muscle memory of routine, feeling an ache in his chest whenever he looks into a mirror with Emmet's face.

Emmet is confused by everything and why he is waking in some primitive time in someone else's body, but they have his face- just extremely worn from stress.

More Kimi no Na Wa shenanigans happen, and they exchange notes and realize that they are in different eras, gradually getting to know each other again through their exchanges. They assume they are connected for some reason, but can't be sure why, since they certainly can't be twins since they are in different times!

But Ingo begins to recall fragments of memory of him interacting with Emmet on a daily basis. They had a life together as twins! Just...neither of them had remembered that.

He writes the revelation down and they swap again.

Emmet reads the note and is distraught, memories of his own flowing back of them, and the day Ingo disappeared They are twins, and Emmet misses Ingo so much he breaks down on the spot.

He waits for the swap to happen again so they can talk more, but...it never happens again.

Ingo never comes back.

Emmet is frantic and tries everything to induce the switch again, but then realizes something may have happened on Ingo's end to prevent it. He delves into his research on Hisui and comes up with the record of a disaster that happened atop Mt Coronet and a eulogy for the victims.

Ingo was one of them.

Emmet journeys to Sinnoh to find the place the disaster happened. He comes upon the memorial for the victims and breaks down in front of it, pleading for some way to save Ingo. He just wants to see his twin again. He falls asleep there.

The red eyes of Giratina glimmer in the dark, and a wish is granted.

Emmet wakes in Ingo's body the day of the incident. The Red Sky is in full view above him, and he immediately travels to Jubilife to visit Akari. At of recently, she knows he and Ingo switch places and is from the future, so he can warn her.

The whole exile thing goes down and she and Emmet meet, have a heart to heart about that, Emmet warns her, blah blah blah.

When she goes to the summit, it is with Emmet and they discover the Legendaries frenzying in tandem. She could never have taken on both at the same time, and Emmet realizes that both fighting must have set off the calamity that had killed his brother, and possibly her now that he thinks about it.

They defeat the Legendaries and the sky is restored, and next thing he knows, Emmet is waking up in the future again.

They never switch again, but Emmet is content for a few days with the knowledge that his brother is alive again.

Then, the doorbell rings, he opens the door, and Ingo is there in all his tattered glory. They bawl, they sob, and their reunion is on.
