as the season comes to an end, a sincere, enormous THANK YOU to the @wtfockenglish team. 

i know there are other translators out there but this is the team that i’ve depended on the most for translations. it’s easy to see the work they do and not think about the hours that go into translating clips, big and small, and then compiling them in numerous places for us to access. hosting pages on twitter and tumblr. hosting the translated clips on a google doc and stream sites. using a new site when an old one doesn’t work, and for what? for people to enjoy this show without the limitations of language. 

i can’t thank you enough for bringing me access to this show and making it something that i can look forward to day by day. thank you for being considerate and kind, even when things are tough. thank you for providing us this wonderful gift, for free, just because you like to make people happy and share with them. thank you for doing so in a manner that was fast and thank you for updating us when you knew there would be delays. you weren’t obligated to and yet you still took time to make sure we were aware. thank you for giving us this beautiful season. thank you for robbe’s sweet comments and sander’s one liners that we have all been overjoyed by. thank you for being so positive during hell week(s) and making sure that we kept our heads on straight. thank you for your time. thank you for your effort. thank you for what you do. without you, many of us would not have been able to enjoy this show, or this season in particular.

Marlou’s Mega Guide to WTFock

I’ve seen quite some new people in the Wtfock fandom and some people may not know everything about it, so I made a guide for any confused people out there. Hope it helps!

What is Wtfock?

Wtfock is the Belgian remake of Skam. It takes place in Antwerp, which is in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium (so if you think you recognize the language from Skam NL, then you’re right!). Wtfock has had two seasons and the third season will start soon. Until now, Wtfock has stayed pretty close to the original version of Skam.

Who is who in Wtfock?

There’s an overview of the characters and the original characters on the Dutch Wikipedia page.

When will season 3 start?

At this point we’re pretty sure it starts Saturday 12 October at 21:43. Fans who entered a contest have received a t-shirt with ‘Saturday 21:43′ on it and a recent newspaper article confirmed that the season starts later this week.

Who is the main character of season 3?

We don’t know. We suspect it’s Robbe (Isak) but we’re not sure because there has been no trailer or other sign about season 3. The official website is pretty much quiet (except for the t-shirts of course). So we’ll have to wait until Saturday to find out. Mind you, this is not strange because the exact thing happened with season 2.

Where can I watch Wtfock?

Wtfock releases its clips and episodes through their own website. The website is geoblocked, which you can circumvent by using a vpn, such as JustVPN or Hola! (if you’re using a different one please check if they also work for Belgium because I’ve found that it’s not really common).

Another disadvantage of the website is that the clips do not allow for English subtitles. If you want/need those, you can go to wtfock-skam (they also have an overview of other language subtitles) or wtfockenglish here on tumblr. I’m pretty sure you can also find subs on Instagram but I don’t know where.

I haven’t watched Wtfock season 1 and season 2. Where can I find it?

Both tumblrs have subbed season 1 and 2. I think wtfock-skam missed the last few episodes of season 1 due to exams so you will have to turn to the other one for that.

Where can I get updates on Wtfock?

I’m not sure about this, but I think the best way is to follow the Wtfock instagram page and turn on notifications. Or do as I do and constantly check the page.

Where can I follow the characters?

You can follow characters on Instagram. There’s an overview on Wtfock’s website.

I don’t want to watch or I don’t have time to watch the first two seasons. What did they change?

SPOILERS

I would say the most significant change is that at the end of season 2, Senne (William), doesn’t leave for London or any other city. Instead, Zoë (Noora) asks him to move in with her. So Robbe (Isak) likely doesn’t move into Zoë’s old room.

Another thing that is different from the original is that Robbe experienced quite some homophobia and harassment in season 2. The girl squad really wanted to find out whether he’s gay and Jana (Eva) even tried to kiss him for that purpose. Milan (Eskild) was also in on that and also gave it a try in the last episode. Moreover, some of the boy squad members used homophobic language around him. Personally, I hope they address this in season 3.

ok ok ok i tried so hard to stop myself. spent hours telling myself that robbe had inferior hair to any other isak and sander looked strangely like the young boy hadid. but the truth is, even from just looking at gifs, i'm gone. please tell me were i can watch robbe and sander with english subtitles!

Robbe and Sander are so different than Isak and Even. They have the essence of them but they’re so unique and different. You’ll fall in love Robbe and with how sweet and kind he is. The boy has so much love to give but there’s no one in his life who is worthy of it. Maybe Milan (Esklid) and Zoe (Noora) are close, but he’s ready to fall in life. And that shows in his interactions with his friends, Noor (Emma), and Sander.

God and Sander! He’s petty. He’s smooth. He’s a flirt. He’s so into Robbe, you don’t even know what to do with yourself. He’s obsessed with Bowie which actually really works for this story. He pushes Robbe out of his comfort zone. He pays attention to him in a way no one else does. He shows Robbe that it’s okay to be you!

And right now things are angsty but it’s the good kind of angsty and it’s making the story so different and unique and I honestly have no clue what’s going to happen next but I’m so on board because Robbe and Sander deserve to find love with each other.❤️

Omg ok you asked where to watch and I wrote a drunken gush post. But our good friends at wtfockenglish have been translating all the clips. That’s your best bet. Buckle up!! You’ll fall in love.

Where can I watch Skam?

Ack I’m sorry, Nonnie, but I’ve been watching Skam through either YouTube clips or through wonderful translators on Tumblr! (Which is a great place to start, if you need English subtitles, but I feel like I should send you to the official sites!)

The remakes that I’m completely sure about the sources are:

And I’ve watched a majority of Skam France via random clips on YouTube (Here’s a link to seasons 1 and 2, season 3, season 4)

You can also email admin@drucktranslations.de (@drucktranslations) for seasons 1-4 (they can’t post the link online for copyright and all that jazz, but will get to you anytime from a few minutes to a few days and you can binge away!)

As for the rest of the remakes (and OG), I mostly found things that people posted here, or found random clips on YouTube which I can’t seem to find anymore...

You can watch it on their website wtfock.be, but if you’re not from Belgium you will need VPN to watch it over there. You can get English transcripts for all the clips from @wtfock-skam or the clips with english subtitles from @wtfockenglish

Hi, personally, I download the subtitled clips from @wtfockenglish, but if you wait until Saturday next week you can have the full raw episodes on @wtfock-skam‘s “mega” folder.

Hey. Well, I either download them from @wtfockenglish  when they translate the clip, or from @wtfock-skam when they upload the whole episode, I am unfortunately not able to download clips from wtfock site. As for the subtitles, the only way to remove them is to crop them out when you gif.
