Twinkle Nora Rock Me! Laserdisc(1985) . . Twinkle Nora Rock Me, the anime quoted to be “the worst anime of all time” and understandably I can see why it got that title. The animation is super super low budget, with from what I read somewhere the frame rate was as low as two frames per second in some scenes, which is just sad. Basically there’s no in between work which makes it so choppy which made a bit of a meme-able anime especially with the infamous dance scene, lol. I saw somewhere saying the probably overspent on the audio/music and ran out of funds to pay for the in between animation which if true is so unfortunate, and actually the LP is longer than the actual OVA runtime! The soundtrack isn’t that bad either! You can listen to it YouTube. And in fact you can watch the ova there as well! Another aspect that labels this as the worst anime would be the general writing of it. You have Nora Scholar as the main protagonist who now a bounty hunter but this times she’s has psychic powers? Which she apparently gets in the manga? (Also the manga itself is a whole level of weirdness.) Anyways her job is to catch a notorious bad guy, a few fight scenes here and there and the some dance scenes at the end and that’s pretty much it lol! Go watch it for yourself and be the judge! . . I’ve actually become fond of Satomi Mikuriya’s artwork! I think his style was bit ahead of his time with others like Buichu Terasawa or Ryochi Ikegami and others where the style was on the border of realistic and cartoonish! So I brought the LD with the Nora manga together! The price was pretty decent as well! Chapter 10: The Rising Sun

Coming back to awareness, everything was heavy. Her mouth was dry, and her head felt like it was full of cotton. Arry estimated she had slept for a couple of hours; she’d always hated napping. It was never a restful sleep.

Groggily, she pulled herself up, careful to avoid having the blood rush from her head. Voices murmured quietly somewhere in the room and as the young woman’s blurry vision cleared, she was able to see it was two people.

The first she recognized immediately, the sunglasses and cigarette easy identifiers.

The other was a man dressed in a white chef’s jacket and his brown hair stood up in the most ludicrous hairstyle Arry had ever seen. If she had to describe it, it looked like a loaf of bread had been stuck to his head.

Cosette was the first to notice Arry had risen, a smirk quirking her lip as a dark cloud of smoke puffed from her lips. “Welcome back from the dead, Arry.”

The newcomer turned, a wide grin breaking out over his face. His brown eyes were kind, laugh lines creased the outer corners of his sharp face. A scar traced the curve of his cheekbone up along his temple.

“We were worried you’d sink the ship with the force of your snoring.” Cosette butt in, snuffing her cigarette in the ashtray upon the table.

“I snored!?” Arry cried, indignant, face flushing a deep red as she leapt to her knees.

The two laughed, throwing their heads back while Arry stuttered through a breath as the realization settled in that they were joking. Settling back on her haunches, she marveled at the lack of pain it caused her. Marco had truly healed her.

“Kiddo, this is Commander Thatch, he is the Fourth Division Commander. Commander, this is Arry.” Cosette graciously introduced them as Thatch stared at her, his dark eyes shining with kindness.
