warnings:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sfw
boyfriend!sunghoon who always plans the most aesthetic dates and your instagram truly thanks him for it - whether it be an evening picnic in the sunset, or the aquarium, or even pumpkin picking
boyfriend!sunghoon who complains he might die if you don't have a matching/similar outfit !! like fr this man could be the other side of the globe and he's spamming you for outfit pics so he can match with you
boyfriend!sunghoon who looooves being your sous chef in the kitchen, even though most of the time he just ends up getting in the way :( he tries though, bless him
boyfriend!sunghoon who comes and sits in your home offices while you're working, usually reading a book or scrolling on his phone silently. he just liked being near you whenever he can
boyfriend!sunghoon who brings you bowls of fruit as a snack, and said fruit has usually been cut into cute shapes like stars and hearts - although, he ends up eating most of it
boyfriend!sunghoon who makes sure to stand the side closest to the road when you walk down the street together, like honestly he'll just tug you to the other side of him so you're not standing near the road, and its usually subconsciously
boyfriend!sunghoon who sends you the cutest, most heart-warming, gut-wrenching, soul-crushing selfies of his little smile when he's away on tour - and you keep them all in a folder called "hoon says :D" for when u miss him
boyfriend!sunghoon who enjoys doing your makeup for you !! and he tries so hard :( even going as far as to watch makeup tutorials so you can leave the house "not embarrassed that he's made you look silly"
boyfriend!sunghoon who takes you ice-skating with him at Least once a month <3 and he never laughs at you or teases you if you slip; in fact, he's rushing over to check you for injuries and pepper you in kisses to wash away the embarrassment
boyfriend!sunghoon who has a groupchat with your parents to swap pictures of you for pictures of your family pets <3 and he likes to surprise you by printing the pictures out so you can have new pictures of the pets even when you're away from your parents' home
nsfw
boyfriend!sunghoon who is so precise during sex, hands always in the right place, strokes always hitting your g-spot, and it honestly surprises you every time
boyfriend!sunghoon who refuses to cum unless you cum first !! and if you can't for whatever reason, then he doesn't want to either because its not worth it to him if he doesn't get to see you cum
boyfriend!sunghoon who won't cum anywhere but inside you, because he revels in the way your jaw drops at the feeling of it and your eyes cross
boyfriend!sunghoon who, although he adores fucking you raw, would wear a condom in a heartbeat if you ask him to - sex is all about your comfort and your pleasure to him
boyfriend!sunghoon who started imagining you all swollen and pregnant with his kids from the second date, and he always gets (nearly) unbearably horny when you're ovulating
boyfriend!sunghoon who brought up the idea of using a vibrator on you, and it shocked you because every guy you'd slept with before him had viewed toys as competition rather than a teammate
boyfriend!sunghoon who has a habit of biting down on your collar bone when he cums, almost as if to muffle his moans so he can hear you rather than himself
boyfriend!sunghoon who loves it when you take a bath together and it turns into riding him, even though jungwon always has a go at him for the amount of water that spills
boyfriend!sunghoon who enjoys lazy, half asleep sex more than anything !! laid tangled together, your legs over his hip as he shallowly thrusts, mixed with the sleepy kisses - its his idea of heaven
boyfriend!sunghoon who lost his virginity to you, because he knew you were the one from the moment you met, but has never told you that's the reason why

sunghoon, bff who secretly likes you and his reaction and dirty thoughts raging inside his mind when you walk down the halls with your short school skirt that shows too much of your thighs and your knee high socks after talking to his bestfriend on how huge your ass was after you bent down infront of him when you drop your pen while studying with him last night in your room.

XI. my pretty girl
Tumblr media
Sunghoon stands with his hands behind his back, a tall proud silhouette in front of the rising moon. With his slick black hair brushed back, he can easily be mistaken for a prince, a perfect son of a royal family. If it wasn’t for his modern clothes, sometimes you’d think he jumped straight out of a fairy tale book.
His eyes sparkle like they always do when he sees you, his gaze skating over your figure. A mistake.
Big mistake, because you’re so beautiful, it steals the newfound oxygen from his lungs. He swallows thickly and takes a step toward you as you take another one back. Another step – and your back meets the cold railing of the balcony. Doesn’t matter how hot the summer nights are, that goddamn railing was always freezing.
He takes another, final step toward you until you have to tilt your head back to maintain eye contact. There's nothing separating you now but a whiff of a breath in the hot, humid air. You remember when the two of you were the same height.
“Hi, pretty,” he knows you're tired; he can sense it in the way you instantly cling to him and respond quietly, "Missed you.”
“Missed you more.”
You’ve only been apart for two hours, maximum. But you’ve gotten so wrapped around him over the past month that every second away feels like a lifetime, however dramatic that may sound. His eyes drop to your stained red lips, the strawberry-scented lip oil making it difficult to look away.
“Everyone keeps pestering me about us.”
You'd attempted to keep your relationship private for a while, at least a couple of weeks. But destiny had other plans when Sunghoon showed up at your house in a fitted black tee and jeans that only hugged him in the right places. You could only do so much.
Sunghoon scoffs, more amused than exasperated, “'Course they are. Everyone saw you dragging me upstairs last week.”
You cock your head to one side, “Dragging you? Last time I checked, you came willingly.”
He'd run wherever you told him to.
He nods meaningfully, reaching up and tucking his right hand underneath your jaw, “I sure did, pretty.”
It takes you a couple of seconds to catch up, but the ever-present smirk on his handsome face gives him away.
“God, you’re disgusting,” your cheeks are burning, as they always do when his smart mouth comes out to play.
He’s still smirking as his gaze moves over your features slowly, tongue pressed into his cheek. He can’t believe you’re his girl.
“You love it.”
“No I don’t,” you sound far weaker than what you want to. Was it always this hard not to kiss him when he was just an inch away?
You can tell he’s not really listening anymore. His all-rough palms find your bare waist with ease, giving it a squeeze before pulling you into his chest, “Are you breaking my heart, pretty?”
Your smaller hands skate up his torso to rest on his shoulders, “You’re not getting rid of me that easily Park.”
“No?”
“Never,” you counter, wrapping your arms around his neck absentmindedly, “As long as you keep the nasty jokes to yourself.”
“You know I can’t,” he murmurs, “I’m barely holding myself together right now. I mean,” Sunghoon says, his voice lower now, gravelly. His eyes drop to the column of your throat as you swallow, soft inches of bare skin that are waiting to be marked, again, “We should’ve just stayed up in your room.”
He leans forward and swipes his thumb over your bottom lip gently, with just enough pressure. Just a few hours ago, you were tracing all his skin with your finger, his wet lips on your neck.
“Behave.”
It’s a poor attempt to scold him, but you do your best. It’s hard to think when your boyfriend, your very very attractive boyfriend, is caging you against a balcony. There’s something so…personal, about being with him, about being locked away in his arms. Being his. It makes everyone and everything at the party feel miles away.
Fuck, you can barely remember what you were doing before you found him. You have to remind yourself that you’re out in public.
You’ll never get tired of kissing Sunghoon. There isn’t a word to describe how you feel when you’re with him, but it’s…unreal. So devastatingly good, almost too good to be real. He’s so close, his head ducking to yours, lips a hairsbreadth away and yet still so far.
“Stop teasing, asshole.”
“Not doing anything, angel.”
You place your hands on Sunghoon’s sharp jaw, “Gonna make me do it myself?”
“Well…You did kiss me first. It’s only fair we honor the tradition.”
“Right,” You raise your brow skeptically, “Trying to get blue balls tonight, I see.”
“You can’t resist me, pretty” he hedges, grinning roguishly, “The sex is way hotter when you’re piss—”
The flesh of your palm presses into his cheeks, and you pull him closer, red lips making contact with his. Hard. It’s the sort of kiss that bruises, that has the pair of you gasping for air.
His hand drops to your ass, palming it unapologetically, a habit he acquired rather quickly once you two got together. Not that you’d ever complain. Sunghoon will never have enough of you at once.
You’re all consuming, all his.
When you do finally pull away, all you see are plump lips and eyes that seem brighter than they were before.
“I love you,” he repeats, sighing defeatedly, leaning into your touch.
You tilt his chin down again, so you can peck his chin, “I love you,” Your warm cheeks burning, “So much.”
Sunghoon leans forward, pressing his lips to yours. It’s not really a kiss, just resting his lips on top of yours and breathing each other in. And you stay like that for what feels like hours, wrapped in each other’s embrace and soaking in the reality that you’re finally happy.
“Can you say it again?” His lips don’t move from yours, so the words are muffled, but you hear him just the same.
“You’re pushing it.”
“Say it.”
“I love you.”
His lips pull up until he’s sending you that sweet, devilish grin, through half-lidded eyes, feeling the way his lungs squeeze when you look at him that way.
“My pretty girl.”
You’ve never been so thankful for the curious voice in the back of your head. For bravery and fear, the relief, and the joy he brings to you. And his laughter, his stupid, stupendous, loud laughter. There was never someone quite as extraordinary and perfect as Sunghoon for you. Whatever self-compromises, doubts, and thorns you both went through. It was worth it. The absolute sacrifices and his speechless selflessness when it came to you, to only want to give you the very best.
You understand it all now.
“You’re never leaving my sight again.”
His head dips down towards the left side of your head, pressing his lips softly behind your ear. You thank your lucky stars for the balcony railing and his sturdy body, otherwise, you’d already be on your knees as he slowly moves down your neck.
Sunghoon loves the way you shudder beneath him when he touches you. You love it just as much.
“We’re in public,” You gulp, taking a deep breath to stop yourself from doing something you’ll regret later on. Like flashing your entire family and letting Sunghoon do whatever he wants with you.
However, he pays no mind to you, pushing your hair back, giving him more access to your neck, sparing no time. Your head automatically falls back, mouth agape as you let out a soft sight, craning your neck to him.
“I can stop pretty..” He’s teasing, lips separating from your neck.
“Oh my fucking god?!”
Jake’s voice wakes you up from whatever trance you were stuck on. Your hands automatically push Sunghoon away, and if you weren’t traumatized enough by the situation, you’d have laughed at the way he stumbles, the surprised look on his face would’ve had you teasing him for hours.
Jake ducks his head and grimaces, making loud, gagging noises that only heighten your embarrassment. “Fucking,” he manages between faux retching, “Disgusting.”
Sunghoon’s quick enough to call him out, “Get your ass back inside.”
“My eyes!” He screeches, “I know you got all this pent-up sexual frustration going on, but the balcony, really?!”
“We’ve done worse.”
You glance over at your brother helplessly, looking reasonably chagrined. “He’s kidding,” you try.
“’M not,” Sunghoon challenges, gaze set on his best friend, brows raised, “Want me to list them?” He trails off, eyeing Jake warily.
“Sunghoon!” you interrupt sharply, feeling your cheeks burn.
Your brother backs up, hand wrapped around his mouth as if the alcohol he drowned tonight is about to make a special appearance, “This is officially the worst summer of my life.”
Sunghoon pays him little attention, eliminating the space between you two again, sneaking a quick kiss to your cheek.“Deal with it.”
Yeah, you're going to marry this man.

She wished she was never born. At least to her current parents, the ones who inflicted this pain on her. While they weren’t physically causing her this pain, their actions were the reason why there was an agonising burn in her back and her chest.
The rope was rough against her skin, the weight of her body and gravity against the rope dug into her neck and cut off the air going to her lungs and brain. She could not even make noises as they had cut off her tongue.
Blood pooled in her mouth, dripping down her chin and to the floor. If she gasped, the blood would rush down her throat and drown her. It was cruel of the men who put her through this. She had been hanging for a few minutes already, yet she was still not dead yet.
Why must they put her through this torture? She was just heading home from the market after buying something her mother needed when a group of men abducted her from the streets. They had whipped her, poked her with hot metal, beaten her within an inch of her life, and carved her tongue out, while they jeered and mocked her cries of pain. All because of her parents’ actions.
She was exhausted. She didn’t know how long she had been abducted for she was in and out of consciousness from the pain. If she had to guess however, it had been two days at least if not more. She wondered what atrocities she had committed to go through this torment.
Finally, black spots were covering her vision and she could feel the asphyxiation do its harm. She smiled at the relief she would finally gain. Hopefully, the Heavens would have mercy on her in the next life.
“Wake up.”
Her eyes fluttered open at the voice. Why wasn’t she dead? She couldn’t feel the agony anymore. Her back was not burning and she could feel her tongue in her mouth, intact and whole. She whipped her head around, glancing at her surroundings of perfect blue skies and white fluffy clouds beneath her body.
“You’ve finally awakened.”
The voice spoke once more, its voice booming yet whispering simultaneously. The voice was neither man nor woman, high nor low. It was ambiguous, and yet it left a warmth in her. However, she was still left questioning her current existence. Was she saved? Had someone found her body before she succumbed to her injuries?
Her mind spiralled and her breathing picked up and the unanswered questions invading her mind, until the voice spoke again.
“Do not panic. I’ll answer your questions one-by-one.”
She listened to the voice, taking a few deep breaths before calming her mind. Letting out a cough, she brushed her hand through her hair before taking another deep breath.
“Calm now?”
She nodded her head and a chair materialised out of nowhere next to her. She jumped back at the chair, whipping her head around as she tried to wrap her mind around at its sudden existence.
“Take a seat, and I’ll answer any questions you have.”
She gulped, sitting herself down on the chair while glancing around. She tucked her hands under her legs and asked her first few questions.
“Where am I? And who are you?”
“You’re in the heavens, and I’m the ruler of it.”
She blanched at the voice’s answer. Anxiety and disbelief soaring into the heavens— fitting in her current predicament. Despite her ill-timed joke, she did not laugh, but instead felt as if someone threw a stone at her head.
“I…died?”
“Yes, you unfortunately passed away due to the injuries and asphyxiation. Now, your soul is in heaven and ready to work for me.”
“Work for you?”
What did they mean by work for them? Was she to turn into an angel and work for God?
“Yes.”
Her head whipped up at their reply. Could God read her mind? Had she asked her question aloud?
“Yes, I can read your mind and you didn’t say your questions out loud.”
Her mind deteriorated instantly. For God to constantly be in her mind made her uncomfortable. Her only sanctuary was now accessible to others, and without her consent as well. Nonetheless, she gave up on the subject, God being able to access her mind shouldn't have shocked her that much.
“Are my…parents saddened by my death?”
God stayed silent at her question and she lowered her head in bitter understandment. Of course her parents would not be saddened by her death, they were the reasons she had passed away after all.
“What did you mean by ‘work for you’?”
God didn’t seem to mind the sudden topic switch, instead they seemed relieved by it.
“You’re going to become an angel, and help the mortals with their issues. Like, granting their prayers and whatnot, with my permission obviously.”
Being an angel didn’t seem that bad, maybe she’d like it.
“That’s great! You’ll start right now!”
Suddenly, her chair disappeared while a pair of wings and a halo materialised rapidly. She let out a sound of utter confusion and astonishment.
God let out a chuckle, before the clouds parted to reveal a glowing light.
“Apologies, but your mind is still too mortal to comprehend my physical form, so I had to transform myself into a light to protect your mind from imploding on itself.”
The knowledge God imparted only caused her to nod her head dumbly.
“Now, let’s start your first mission. There’s a child who wishes to grow taller; you are to sprinkle this dust on their body when they’re asleep.”
God placed a pouch of what she guessed was mystical dust before the clouds beneath her feet parted. She let out a shriek, falling from the heavens and down to earth rapidly.
“Use your wings.”
God reminded, and she quickly urged her newly-acquired wings to flutter, just so she wouldn’t become a grotesque puddle on the dirt. Thankfully, they listened, and now she was slowly fluttering down to a house where she assumed the child was sleeping in.
She phased through the roof of the house and ended up in the child’s bedroom. Ignoring the odd feeling of being in a child’s bedroom secretly while everyone was asleep, she took a handful of the mystical dust and sprinkled it on top of the child, granting their wish.
Finished with her ‘mission’, she flew back to the heavens where God awaited her, still in their incorporeal form.
“Great! You’ve finished your first mission with no difficulties! Now, you just have to meet a quota of one prayer per day!”
She thought that God was weirdly ecstatic about the prospect of her granting prayers, maybe they were tired of answering many prayers everyday since the dawn of civilisation. Well, it shouldn’t be that hard.
“Anyway, you’re free to roam around and intermingle with the other angels until your next mission tomorrow.”
A golden gate that she hadn’t noticed before opened at God’s words. Past the gates were other angels flying about, chatting and laughing with each other. It truly looked like what every depiction of the Heavens were.
She made her way to the gate, only to pause at the opening and gaze at the seemingly organised chaos inside. Taking a deep breath, she took a few steps pass the gate before relaxing when she didn’t light on fire.
Maybe she could get used to this life.
“By the way, your daily quota increases every few months until it reaches 100 prayers per day! Have a nice time!”
She whipped her head back to stare at the gate in horror as it slammed shut, God’s words running through her mind. 100 prayers per day? That was impossible! God, kill her now.
‘No can do, dear Peony.’
God’s voice echoed teasingly in her mind, but she didn’t pay much attention to it. Instead, her attention was directed to what they had called her.
‘Peony?’
‘You were wearing a beizi with a peony embroidered onto it. So, I thought it would be fitting for it to be your angel name.’
God’s explanation was sound, yet it left a bitter feeling in her mouth. She hadn’t liked the beizi her mother forced her to wear, and to be tortured in it didn’t help, but she wouldn’t dare mention it to God, not when they seemed proud of it. Just like a maidservant in the royal palace, she wouldn’t dare go against the words of those in power.
She sighed but joined the other angels, easily mingling with the friendlier angels of the bunch, although they were all nice.
That was over 600 years ago. Now it was the 17th century and she was still a prayer-granting-angel. She had gained another six pairs of wings a few centuries ago, indicating her rank of being a high-ranged angel. Everyday she grants wishes of mortals who worry over small issues like love and everyday endeavours. She couldn’t help but be jealous of the mortals at times; she wanted to worry about whether the boy she likes would reciprocate her feelings as well.
Regardless, she sucked it up and tried her best to ignore the prickling sensation in her heart every time she granted their prayers, until one fateful day.
“Dear God, please let Kim Seokhwa return my feelings.”
It was a standard prayer, the girl had prayed for the reciprocation of her feelings so she made her way to the house of the boy.
When she phased through the roof of his house however, it was dead silent. She couldn’t hear anything except for the sounds of hushed crying. Phasing through the walls of his roof, she found Seokhwa in his bathroom, curled up in the tub while tears streamed down his face.
He was nearly stark naked save for his underwear, however she didn’t pay much regard to it. Her attention was instead focused on the cuts and bruises that littered his skin. Some were old and fading while others looked to be fresh from a few hours ago.
She was horrified. Why was he beaten and bruised? Was he getting abused?
“Dear God, why does she keep treating me like this? What did I do to gain her anger? I wish she would stop. I wish Jung Taeha would just get what she deserves!”
His cries to God rang in her mind. The pouch of mystical dust in her hand felt heavy as she realised what she could do. Her eyes flitted from the pouch to the curled up boy and she threw away any and every inhibition in her mind.
While she felt bad for not granting the girl’s prayer, this was more important. She muttered a tiny ‘sorry’ that went unheard by the boy and entered his mind. She felt bad for invading his privacy but she needed to know who this Jung Taeha was. However the mental image of the girl in question made her blood boil.
She immediately zipped her way to the culprit’s house, the pouch of dust clenched tightly in her fist. She phased through the wall, where the figure of Jung Taeha, the girl whose prayer she had nearly granted, was sleeping in her bed.
There was no hesitation when she poured the mystical dust over the cruel girl’s body. In fact, there was a sadistic satisfaction when the mystical dust started burning Taeha’s skin. Taeha launched herself upright, screaming at the indescribable pain that she was undergoing.
Taeha ran to the bathroom and blasted the shower, trying her best to relieve the burning sensation but to no avail. She continued to scream while her parents banged on her door, demanding why she was screaming like bloody murder.
All the while, she watched as Taeha’s flesh melted off her bone and the girl crumpled into a ball of melted flesh and exposed bone, basking in the righteous fate the girl had faced and returned to the boy’s room.
Seokhwa was sleeping soundly in his bed, unaware of the atrocity she had committed. She snapped her fingers, and another pouch of mystical dust materialised in her hands. She grabbed a pinch of the dust and sprinkled it over his body, chanting a healing prayer in her mind as she did so.
Once she was satisfied with her work, she phased through his roof one last time and flew back to the Heavens. Yet, when she reached the fluffy white clouds, they would not part for her, even when she forced them to.
“Peony, do you understand what you have done?!”
God’s voice bellowed out, anger lacing each word with venom. She didn’t understand what was wrong, she had brought justice to an innocent.
“That boy’s prayer was not supposed to be granted! The girl had not deserved the harm you inflicted on her!”
“How did she not deserve the fate I bestowed upon her? She is fortunate that the boy’s wish was only for comeuppance and not her life!”
Thunderstruck all around her, some nearly hitting her as she stared defiantly at the Heavens. God merely growled at her words, attempting to soothe the anger boiling inside of them.
“It is not your task to decide the girl’s fate.”
“Yet you are incapable of delivering justice!”
Her insult cut off God’s words, destroying all restraint in the being.
“How dare you insult me! I created you! I gave you life! I turned you into an angel!”
“You only turned me into an angel to do your bidding! Granting prayer after prayer for several centuries! I only became an angel because you handed me an ill-fated life!”
Her words only spurred more anger in God, who was unable to deny her statement. Lightning struck closer to her and she knew that it was only a matter of time before God lost their temper and struck her directly.
“Fine, if your mortal life is what you believed to be ill-fated, I will show you something worse!”
Lightning finally struck. She let out an anguished scream at the ineffable pain as she felt a scorching burn in her wings before they halted completely, causing her to fall from the skies. From the corner of her teary eyes, she could spot four of her wings incinerated into ashes, dirtying her remaining wings.
An excruciating pain exploded in her head as her halo broke in two, before stabbing itself into her forehead and mended with her skull. Blood leaked from her halo-turned-horns, dripping into her eyes and leaving a stinging sensation.
She plummeted from the Heavens, past the mortal realm, and into the scorching depths of the Underworld. Her body collided with the dirt of the damned and her bleary eyes peered at the Heavens.
“For committing a deadly sin, Huang Yangyao will now serve as a demon for the rest of her existence, unable to repent and return as an angel in the Heavens.”
God’s words were declared for all the angels and demons to hear, ultimately sealing her fate as a demon in the Underworld.
Whimpers fell from her throat as the aftershocks of the transition ached her tender limbs. She could barely register the words of the demons surrounding as they crowded her being.
“Move! Don’t—deals—back—work!”
The muffled words quietened and she could feel a pair of hands on her delicate body, lightly shaking her.
“Are you alright?”
She could barely nod her head in response and she heard the demon tsk before calling out to someone.
“Hyung! Can you give her something? She’s still reeling!”
Feet shuffling and clothes ruffling could be heard as the demon that held her continued to lightly shake her, as if to make sure she stayed conscious. There was a pause before she felt something cold pressed to her lips, and liquid dribbled into her mouth.
“Drink that, it should help with the pain.”
A different voice sounded out this time. It was calmer than the other demon—more authoritative, making her less panicked. She obeyed the voice, swallowing the drink that flowed into her mouth until she felt her aches disappear and bones mend back together.
The drink was pulled away from her and she felt something damp wipe across her face, ridding her from most of the blood that caked her face. She cracked open her eyes, registering the reds and browns of the Underworld before focusing on the demons that surrounded her.
“You alright now?”
She nodded her head and the demon closest to her pulled her up into a sitting position.
“Welcome to the Underworld. I’m Mark and he’s Yuta.”
She bowed her head towards them before standing up from the ground, stumbling slightly at the shift of weight on her back. She muttered out a ‘sorry’ to the both of them before stretching out her wings, feeling ache in her back.
She craned her head back to see two pairs of black wings instead of four pairs of white wings, and a pang of sadness and despair in her heart. She reached up to her forehead to feel the two halves of her halo embedded in her skull.
She sighed, but disregarded her sadness. She folded back her wings and combed her fingers through her hair.
“Hello, my name is Huang Yangyao. I will be in your care.”

As Sunghoon was walking on the sidewalk of Korea feeling lethargic at the events that has been happening in his life. how his family decided to sell their family business that their grandfather had started from scratch. He was about to quit his tedious job that day but no his parents have to ruin it for him. He assumed that he would take over the business one day, which he has been working on since he was a teenager.
Sunghoon has always argued with his parents about how he can handle their business, that’s why he applied for a job as a right-hand man for one of the biggest companies in Korea to show his family that he can handle it. But at last.. they never did they never really put trust in him they always hesitated at the siltiest. saying his job is better them taking the family business that is just a burden to them.
now feeling like his own family betrayed Him stopping in the middle of the sidewalk closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.
“why does they always have to ruin everything” sighing at what has been happening in his life.
Until
In the mids of his thinking. A woman bumped into him, making him groan at the sudden impact but stop as he smelled a perfume that smelled like his favorite dessert, sweet like cherry tiramisu.
He opens his eyes and sees the woman bowing infront of him
“I’m so so sorry sir, I’m just really in a hurry for work!!” she said as she lifted her head. At that moment seeing her for the first time.
Their eyes met, they stared at each other and it seems like time stopped. A brief encounter, but Sunghoon thinks this was one of the most breathtaking and alluring encounter in his life.
At that moment everything fades away It’s like all of his sorrow just wash away at the woman in front of him. A moment that surely he will never forget how he sees the light in her eyes sparkling as the light hit it. How her hair was softly falling on her shoulder by the fresh breeze of the wind. Her lips are as red as a cherry on top of a tiramisu.
He took a deep breath and was about talk but-
A sound of a whistle was heard and stopped them in their heavenly moment. A guard was yelling at them to move away knowing this Sunghoon now just realize that there still in the middle of the road.
They both run at the side of the road and then look at each other and slowly as their cheeks beam at a red color for a brief moment then look away. Embarrassed at what just happened they were silent for a moment until Sunghon heard her scream as she realize that she was already late for work. She run and Sunghoon was about to run after her but she stop and turn around.
“Y/N.. my name is Jeon Y/N”
That was it the time he found his other half he smiled as she turn to run away but he shouted.
“Park Sunghoon! My name is Park Sunghoon!”
He looked at her with the most extensive smile he ever has, and she looked back, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. at that moment, everything else faded away. There were only the two of them, and for the first time, a birth light took his heart. As she run they both knew they had found something special at a brief encounter.
As the days goes by, as Sunghoon got to know about her name he was able to know about her work. realizing that they both work in the same company but in a different branch but that didn’t stop him from meeting her. as they meet again in the coffeeshop middle in both of their company
As he was holding his tray with a coffee and cherry tiramisu on the side. he sees her typing at her laptop with a haft drink of matcha tea and a half-eaten hotteok.
He takes a deep breath before approaching her and is greeted by the sweet smell of her cherry tiramisu-like perfume. He cough she stop typing on her laptop and was greeted by a smiling Sunghoon her eyes widen
“We meet again,” Sunghoon said as he look at her a look that he has already been deeply in love with
“Ohh park Sunghoon” Y/N said in her honey-like voice
“May I sit” Sunghoon said with his deep yet smooth voice that she can’t help but make her heart beat faster.
As he sit infant of Y/N was already red as a cherry and this did not go unnoticed by Sunghoon even though half of her face was covered by her laptop.
Y/N starts to close her laptop and looks at Sunghoon while biting her hotteok and drinking her matcha tea. everything was silent non of them was talking but is not awkward and unbearable silence between them, its was more of a calming silence between them a feeling of fresh coffee in the morning while looking at the morning sunrise.
Then “do you usually go here and have a cup of tea,” Sunghoon said as he look at her he can’t stop thinking. how her eyes spark and how she fans her long eyelashes while looking at him
“Ohh no this was just my second time, my friend suggested to me this place that they have a great matcha tea,” she said in a shy voice.
Thinking this she really loves matcha tea, smiling at this. She ask him the same question as he did but is already a well-known customer at this place that has a great cherry tiramisu cake.
That day was the starting point of their undying love story, as the months goes by Y/N would always go to that cafe and they would always meet. Sunghoon has never been happy in his life since he fell In love with only a brief encounter with how her bright personality caught his attention. His favorite is How she smiles at everything he talks about ranting, opening up, jokes. and most importantly confessing their love for each other.
As times goes by Sunghoon finally confesses his feelings that he kept even though it’s noticeable how he always gives her a heart eye, both then actually.
Years goes by there their love was the strongest it was timeless for the both of them. Even though there are troubles, challenges have happen they still find a way with their heart.
As she looked at the sunset, he was looking at her, and she looked back, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. In that moment the memory of them how they first met flashes as a wave of the ocean a memory of something worth holding on.
As their eyes met, and time stopped. Memory of them about their brief encounter, a memory that would last a lifetime.

SEA SIDE CRUSH ❧
➤ (🐚) oneshot | Sunghoon x fem reader | fluff | angst | strangers to lovers | word count: 1.7k | reader is 18 and Sunghoon is 19 | one small kiss bit and nothing more| set in the 1960’s | whole thing is based within a cruise holiday ship
Soo’s smol note📝 : btw this is not proof read fully it’s like 60%💀 didn’t have my glasses when I wrote this since I accidentally sat on them so yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“Kiss me hard before you go, Summertime sadness”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Forced on a cruise for the summer there’s nothing much that peaks your interest until you meet a boy who you will never forget or in which you find comfort in Sunghoon who’s there to pick you up when you fall until- he isn’t
Tumblr media
YOU FELT LONELY.Your parents didn't want you to spend all of your time in your room, so they forced you to go play with some kids "your age," despite the fact that you're almost 19, and you're surrounded by 9-11 year olds. Should I simply jump in and swim to shore? This serves no purpose.
You sighed, resting your elbows on the edge of the boat railing, looking into the horizon and closing your eyes and listening to the whistling wind and the faint sounds of the passengers around you. Your tranquillity was invaded. When you felt a pair of frigid fingers pinch your flesh, everything came to a halt. Why is some random stranger touching me? If it's one of those obnoxious kids, I swear I'm going to push them over this railing i swe-
When you locked gazes with a tall gorgeous male, your thoughts were cut short. His fair complexion gleamed in the sunlight as he waved at you with a witty smile.
" Greetings! Milady..my name is Sunghoon," he said, raising his hand for a shake, which you slowly accepted. His chilly hands engaging with yours, causing you to shiver slightly " hi..I'm y/n " you say gently, with a faint smile. He’s so good looking..
That was the beginning of your small friendship with the boy, as well as the emergence of your newfound crush. After that day, you resolved never to stay in your room again, constantly going out to see him. Sunghoon was nothing but kind and kind to you, his acts triggering an explosion of butterflies in your stomach at every interaction; you didn't want to leave the cruise because you were frightened you wouldn't see him again.
You and Sunghoon sit side by side on the seats, your shoulders merging into one. "Do you normally come here every summer? " You nod "Yes, it's like a tradition ever since I was 11 they'd take me here for a month," you hum. "This Cruise is so big, there's so much to do, yet you seem upset about it ? Do you not enjoy your time here perhaps ? " Sunghoon says, bending his head to stare at your face. "No.. I've been going here for 8 years it isn't as exciting anymore.. plus no one my age comes here anymore so I'm alone most of the time," you groan, looking down. Sunghoon recognises the sadness in your voice and does not want to see you sad any longer so he extended his arm placing it around your shoulder giving it a small squeeze
"Well, you do have me now, don't you? Milady " With a tiny smile, you nod. " yeah, I guess so," Sunghoon humms, " wanna cause some trouble? " He speaks with a mischievous tone in his voice. Well..it's been so dull here, why not "I'll follow your lead park." Sunghoon smiles sitting up and extending his hand out. You eagerly place it in his allowing him to intertwine your fingers with one another
"So, what's the plan?" you two sneak into your parents' room while they're away having lunch in the canteen part. "Water and some buckets," he raised an eyebrow, "you want to drentch thier stuff?" Wont you get in trouble for that? Milady " You shrug I don’t really care to be honest they won’t do anything anyways “ I'll deal with the conference later" you drag Sunghoon with you to the pool to get the water.
You had miscalculated how heavy water was once you had filled yours to the brim. The weight was so heavy it almost sent you tumbling backwards but thankfully Sunghoon was there to catch you clutching your waist firmly with his spare hand so you don't fall. " y/n are you okay? You swallow anxiously as his hand remained firmly in position, his fingers caressing the material of your shorts slightly, his touch sending shivers down the rest of your body " umm..milady?" Gosh, snap out of it, he was simply trying to help you "nothing, let's go.." You disregard the concept of thought and go on your way.
Tumblr media
“I just wanted you to know That baby, you the best”
A MESS you wanted to make turned out to be a mess. The bed ruined and drenched the currants adhering to the walls, your father's books floating around the room, and your mother's cosmetics spilling out and changing colours as it combined with the water. You smiled proudly at yourself.
You turn to face Sunghoon, who is already staring you, "what?" He didn't say anything and simply looked at you. Why is he just starting at me? "Do you ever wonder what it feels like to really like someone?" you look at him shocked. Why the sudden question? "I mean, no, not really, there's never been anyone I've liked well, in a romantic way that is," I like you he shrugs. "That's upsetting,"
" how so?" You ask to which he doesn’t say anything "Sunghoon your seem a bit off " he still doesn't say anything and slowly approaches you, causing you to move back and slip onto your parents soaked bed as a result of your actions earlier.. as there was still a shallow amount of water flowing on the floor.
"Do my feelings put you off, y/n?" Huh" wait what- what are you talking about " he looks closely into your eyes as if searching for something in them " i stated before it was sad that you milady..didn't like anyone because I like you " he stops before starting again " you've made my vacation here brighter.. I want to stay with you just a little bit longer" you blink wildly, unable to believe what your ears are hearing.
"you..like..me," he nods, smiling slightly, "but it's fine if you don't-" cutting him off, you pull him into a passionate kiss. Because you were too nervous to say the words out loud, you hoped your actions would speak for you.
Sunghoon nibbled on your lip right away, causing you to yelp slightly and give him complete access to swirl his tongue and intertwine it with yours. His left hand gently approaching your cheek, his thumb touching your face tenderly and delicately, as if he was afraid you would break.
You eventually draw away, glancing down at your nails. Feeling a bit shy "the feelings... mutual Sunghoon" he smiles again, drawing you close into an embrace and collapsing upon you due to the height difference. "Oh my gosh, let go, your making me wet, it's c-cold!" You yell, attempting to push him away, but he refuses to let go, hugging you even tighter, "but I wish to shower you with you milady with adoration and affection!" He teases, and you lightly slap his chest, and he pulls away slightly, his hands still on your waist, "have I ever told you how beautiful your eyes are?"
"Stop looking at me like that," he hums, "like what I'm just looking at you, can I not stare at a work of art?" you gulp slightly , not noticing the large blush that spreads across your cheeks. You hide your face in his chest, "Stop that.."
Sunghoon smiles, kissing you on the cheek and drawing you in for another hug. This time you didn't mind the coolness from his damp shirt, you were just delighted to be this close to him right now and to know he felt the same way about you.
Tumblr media
“Think I'll miss you forever Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky”
THE NEXT DAY, you awoke in the happiest feeling you'd been in since meeting Sunghoon, but after yesterday, you were elated. Even though you were yelled at by your parents for your stunt, you didn't care. Your thoughts were preoccupied with Sunghoon.
you got ready in the mirror doing your makeup as music plays in the back form your mothers radio “Done my hair up real big, beauty queen style~” “High heels off, I'm feelin' alive~”
I hope he likes it
You sigh as you look at the small pink envelope with a heart in the middle on the counter to your left. You deliberately composed a note for Sunghoon because you wanted to communicate how you felt and how he made you feel.
After you finished , you took your note and dashed out to the section where Sunghoon and his family were staying. Knocking on the door, you wait nervously, quickly adjusting your hair in the hopes of impressing him. But, to your dismay, the door opened to show an unknown lady? Who is that, if not Sunghoon's mother or sister?.. "Um... hello, I'm looking for Park Sunghoon?" She raises her brow "I don't know who that is, you got the wrong door, sorry" before shutting the door in your face.
What the hell? Im so sure this is his door he told me 79
You decided to go to reception and ask more questions because you were really confused . "Hello sir, I have an inquiry," he says, nodding, "what is the request, milady?" "What door number do the residents of the park family stay at?" He tells you to wait and begins entering up some information before reporting back to you, "the parks left early this morning"
You thank the receptionist and walk behind the wall, leaning back against it. Is he gone? There's no way he never mentioned leaving yesterday. It was fine, we were fine. You slip down until you're sitting on the floor. You try to reason with yourself that there was no way he would go like that without at least saying goodbye or alerting you of his departure
Until it finally hits you. You have a brief recollection of Sunghoon's words to you yesterday: "you've made my vacation here brighter.."I just want to stay with you a little longer," he knew.
You clench your fists and throw your letter across the floor. You were upset because you couldn't believe he wouldn't say goodbye properly. At the very least, if he been honest with you, you would have learned to handle reality a little better. You would have stayed with him longer. How could he leave you here alone knowing how lonely it made you feel?
You knew there was a good chance you'd never see him again; you don't even know where he lived or what school he attended; he simply fled away. You wanted to comprehend him but couldn't since your sadness was quickly replaced by rage, hurt, and betrayal.
You felt used..he knew he was leaving all along, yet he decided to give you hope anyways. As much as you sincerely liked him, you honestly don't want to see him ever again because you're frightened of how easy you'd fall apart if you met his eyes.
I hope the memory of me haunts you for the rest of your life Sunghoon…
You prayed he'd never find serenity or even a speck of clarity, that the memories of you would suck him dry of any joy..so he could never be happy. He cannot forget you…. because you'll never forget him

London had so many faces.
It was both the wide avenues and the backstreets, those who wore the finest clothing and those who wove the thread. And until you took time to get grips with the emotions and realities of them all, you had no idea who this city was.
Initially, it was hard to get around, homesickness made it hard to gather enough energy to do anything else but attend classes. The fatigue was drowning you. People said it was a common experience for those who spent extended periods away from home and it usually subsided over time, as you’d adapted to your new environment.
But that never happened. Sure, you got used to it and moved on, but it didn’t feel better, you’d just slowly learned to numb the sickness away. A friend of yours from college told you she believed being "homesick was a kind of grief", and what made people terrified was the fact that, when you returned, people and places would’ve moved on, because that was the way things were.
And you’d stay behind.
Moving on with one’s life generally means leaving behind past experiences, situations, emotions, and people. To focus on the future. You know it can mean different things to different people, but it usually implies a sense of moving forward and leaving behind past difficulties or hardships.
You felt like you were those exact hardships, at least in Sunghoon’s life.
He made a conscious effort of letting you go, and he had every right to, it just didn’t mean it hurt any less. You weren’t selfish enough to step into his personal growth and healing.
You were so used to him, everything about him, even if you didn’t see him as often as before when college started. You felt calm, so calm as if nothing in the world could pierce the protective bubble that was you and Sunghoon.
When the world came in and brought distress, you were always there for each other, to serve as the calm center of the storm. The idea of doing that with someone else, some other boy, didn’t feel as appealing to you anymore, because it had always been him.
Your parents often told you, “It’s okay, it’s going to be fine. Everything is going to work out as it’s meant to be.”
But you knew exactly what you wanted. Whom you needed the most.
You liked him, you liked everything about him, even his flaws and slowly, gradually, you fell for him. Talking to him became a necessary part of your life, sort of like breathing. Which you hated because you knew how these kinds of stories ended.
You didn’t want to depend on someone else to be happy. It made you anxious, and it made it even worse when you had to take a step back and slowly let him go. You’d always feared the thought of losing him, and in the end, you did.
The reality was harsh and in real life, loving someone is scary. Even if that person has been your best friend for as long as you can remember.
There was one specific moment when it hit you. Everything crashed down on you at once.
It all made sense to you, the night of his 18th birthday party. After your fight, you’d taken a moment outside to collect yourself, so you wouldn’t end up making a fool out of yourself and cry in front of a bunch of people you barely knew. You understood how these things went, gossip got around fast, and you’d spent a lifetime avoiding it.
Once you came back in, there was still alcohol, there was music, and there were teenagers with crazy hormones. And then there was Jake and Sunghoon acting as usual, dancing, drinking beer, and singing out loud as if he just hadn’t ripped your heart out twenty minutes before.
Then, suddenly, a girl approached him. You felt…weird. Why? You’d helped him flirt with girls since 6th grade, and even when he made it clear he only wanted to flirt with you, you were still his best wingman—modesty at its best. Or at least you always attempted to.
For the first time in your life, you felt threatened. You knew he started dating around when you left, but you’d been busy with school and new friends to pay proper attention to him, you’d never seen it with your own eyes. Until that night, and you hated every second of it.
At first, it felt like someone punched you in the stomach, but after that… you were torn between being sad and angry. There was a certain knot deep inside your chest, steadily making its way upward your throat.
You’d never been the type of person to be jealous. But suddenly, there you were, feeling as helpless as possible, watching some girl get something you longed for. His affection, the one he held so highly over you just until an hour ago seemed to have vanished, along with your will to stay at the forsaken party. It’s not like you could do anything about it anymore, at least not without crossing the line between right and wrong. You hated the feeling, you hated it, you hated it—
Your heart was in a constant state of dropping, your legs shaky, your stomach twisting and if you stayed any second longer, you’d start snapping at people. So, you left, although it took you more strength to quell the jealous demons than to give in to the pettiness of jealousy.
If London taught you something was that, if even the road to happiness and success was lonely, you’d be okay. If you embraced the feeling of loneliness, let yourself feel the pain full force, and still dared to stand and keep going, you’d win. It wasn’t an easy task, but you learned how to walk alone, and how to cope with and solve your problems alone. Over time, you understood how to lessen the pain and how you should always consider yourself your own home. It was a challenging and brutal time, but you were worth the fight. So, you loved yourself, breathed deeply, and walked through it. You’re thankful for all the lessons, the memories, and the friends you made along the way.
Being back home threw you back in some sort of time loop as if you never left home at all, as if you’d never learned.
Sunghoon always had a big impact on your feelings, that’s your reality and it was easy to grasp, but now that you understand your romantic feelings are involved, it feels like it might crush you. You’ve learned yes, but that doesn’t mean it gets any easier to face the problems thrown your way. It still takes a shit ton of courage to do it, and if you’re being honest here, you’re still a lot better at running away than you’d want to.
It's bitter, tart. It's been two days since Heesung accidentally told you about her and you’ve gone back to your old ways. Avoiding him at all costs. You attempt to put on a show and act like you’re not hurt, replying to some of his texts, although it’s always with some vague excuse not to see him. Lies have never tasted too well on your tongue.
Sunghoon knows that. He knows all too much about you. So, it doesn’t surprise you to see him step into your sight as you walk into your house. As if getting scolded by Yunjin the entire day wasn’t enough, you’re still not off the hook.
You realize something is wrong immediately. He’s upset. You can tell just by simply looking at him. It’s palpable and entirely torturous. His eyes have not left yours, not one fleeting glance to the ground you walk on, neither to the side and you instantly feel a stab of guilt.
He, as usual, is the first to break the silence.
“Can we talk?”
You shake your head before you can even process everything you’re feeling, “No,” turning on your heel to trudge off in the opposite direction, perhaps back to Yunjin’s place. Anywhere but here.
“We’re not doing this again,” Sunghoon announces, his voice imposing and lofty, far from the usual warmth you’re used to. He’s trying to make a point, “We’re not walking away, not again.”
He did become the most level-headed among all of you. Your defenses shoot up again.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
"Yes, you do." He keeps tugging the bracelet on his wrist as if it can give him the words he’s looking for. "Me and her, it’s not like that anymore.”
But it was at some point and as stupid as it may sound it makes you want to spit your stomach out. He’s not yours. He wasn’t yours back then either.
“It’s fine.”
“Fine?” His tone is uncharacteristically harsh, “You’ve been avoiding me again and it’s fine?”
“I’ve been busy.”
“Stop.”
“I told you already—“
“I’m not sleeping with her,” He fires back, tipping his head at you, “I’m not doing anything with her, and the fact that you’d just assume that hurts me.”
Of course, he knows what’s upsetting you. Your brother and his big fucking mouth.
“You’re allowed to do whatever you want Sunghoon, I’m not upset.”
“Stop lying!” He stares at you incredulously. Even from a distance, you can see the tears in his eyes, the honesty resting there, and it splits open that part of you that you always keep locked away, “I thought you needed space after spending so much time together, which was fine by the way, but you just—It’s like you decided you were done with me all over again and that was it.”
“You were the one who was done with me back then.”
Sunghoon stares at you incredulously, “You can’t be serious? I only walked away because you kept hurting me. This is different.”
“You don’t understand,” You run your hands down your face. Arguing solves nothing, confrontation only leads to more. You’re exasperated. Nobody seems to get how scary all of this is for you.
“I don’t understand?” He gapes, “Of course I fucking do! I’ve been in love with you for years!”
“Exactly!” You try not to shy back from the heat buzzing between the two of you, “You weren’t the only one hurting then, and you’re not the only one hurting now! I did both of us a favor by leaving, didn’t I? I did what you asked, and I broke my own heart to save yours. Look where that got me.”
You’re going too far; you’re being too mean. But you can’t stop now. It’s like you have no control over yourself anymore.
“How come I’m always the bad guy here? I left when you needed me to, I respected your decision and I never once prodded into your life.”
Sunghoon says nothing, and simply holds your gaze. You take note of him now; his wide-set eyes. Guilt sprinkles in, it litters itself along the hems of your mind.
“I tried, so hard,” You continue, “I tried making it easier, but you’re so—“
“So what?” He asks hollowly, “Hmm? Why is it so hard for you to admit the truth? Do you know how pathetic I feel? Waiting for you, all these years, and every time I step a little too close, you just push and push. Everything turns into a reason for you to run away, to get rid of me.”
“Rid of you?”
Sunghoon clenches his jaw and takes a deep breath before speaking, “You only seem to want me when someone else is involved.”
“Oh, fuck you!” You interrupt, your voice getting louder now, the white-hot anger mixed with all the sadness you feel in your chest burn in your tongue, “I always want you, and never once did I replace you. I’m sorry I’m not as expressive or fearless as you when it comes to love, but it doesn’t mean I care any less than you.”
He scoffs quietly and looks at you with a scowl that would have chilled you if you weren’t already so angry with him. "And I replaced you? Is that what you’re trying to say?" he counters in a low, hard voice. "I tried to move on, fucking sue me. I’m sorry I tried to let you go!” He gestures loosely to the entrance of your house.
“I don’t know what you want me to say here Sunghoon,”, you state. Lower, with less edge. Your head drops, and your gaze drifts to your feet “Am I jealous? Yes. Do I love you? Absolutely. Does it scare the living shit out of me? Yes, it did back then, and it does now.”
The origin of your outburst has boiled down to this. Your words are coated in vulnerability.
“If I was honest with you back then…and we didn’t work out, that meant I would lose you completely. It’s not something we can come back from, not like a fight. I can’t lose you, this is different.” You’re muttering, rambling, so quietly you’re not sure if he can even hear you.
Maybe if he can’t, maybe if this falls on deaf ears, it’s for the better.
But Sunghoon always listens. At least to you.
Suddenly, he’s no longer across the room but standing directly in front of you, so close he might steal all the air you’re breathing. It’s overwhelming and yet soothing to have him so close. His hands raise, you’re not sure what you are expecting but his hands reaching for your face after you cursed him off isn’t it. He cups your cheek gently, as always, tipping your head back to meet his gaze.
Whatever hostile air was lingering from before, is now gone, he holds your face with such tenderness, like he is scared to break you. You’ve been in this position so many times before, with him so up close and personal, and yet it still makes your head fuzzy.
His eyes are searching, analyzing. He’s always made you feel at ease, comfortable yet dangling over the edge of something.
Your throat bobs with a dry swallow. Sunghoon lets his eyes wander over your troubled features. His thumb brushes past your cupid's bow and the apple of your cheek as it sweeps across your temple. He doesn’t shy from it, doesn’t pull his hand back in dismay. He never did.
Then, he’s leaning in. Pressing so close you can feel him against your chest. He lifts his other hand in front of you, dragging the knuckle of his index finger along your jawline, then drags his finger back up settling back onto your other cheek. It always feels like it’s meant to be there.
“Why are you so scared?”
Slowly, you raise your hands to cover his. They’re so big, compared to yours that you can barely cover half of it. You smooth your thumbs over his knuckles, feeling him shiver at the touch, and finally, you gather the courage to look at him.
Sunghoon is staring down at you, towering over you with his height, he almost blocks out everything behind him. He’s breathing heavily, and all you can see is him.
“Because it’s you.”
You tell him because it’s the truth. It’s what you harbor in your heart, and he always seems to pull anything he wants out of yours.
The change in his expression comes swiftly, you barely register it before he crushes you against him, hugging you as if you haven’t seen each other in ten years. Your face is pressed into his broad chest, his hands move from your face so he can wrap his arms around you. He’s holding you so close you might pass out. You attempt to wiggle in his arms, trying to free your own so you can wrap them around him.
Only when your arms circle his waist does he finally let out a ragged, relieved sigh.
Your hands smooth down his back, following the dip of his spine. Sunghoon seems to melt into you. Then, unwillingly, he slowly pulls back, his hands still holding you, but he does it just to get a better look at your face.
His cheeks are flushed. You swallow. His hair has come loose, and a few strands fall into his forehead. You want to push them back.
“I don’t want her,” He speaks softly, breaking your train of thought, “I drove her home because she was drunk off her mind and attempting to do it herself.”
You shake your head slowly, “It’s okay. I didn’t know.”
“I only want you. I don’t want you to ever think otherwise.”
Sunghoon’s gaze never leaves yours, and this time, you do shiver.
“You still love me?” you reply shakily, a slight tremor in your voice.
Sunghoon wants to scold you, really. The answer is obvious, standing right in front of you, but he understands now. You’re scared. So instead, he takes a gentle approach, sweeping one hand to the side of your neck. He’s running warm as per usual, but today it feels warmer. His thumb smooths over the slope of your jaw, the touch purposeful and tender.
“I’m going to be in love with you forever, pretty girl,” he replies, just as shakily, “Even if I shouldn’t.”
He nudges his nose against yours. The uncertainty in your eyes seems to be fading now. You tug him closer, still.
“I love you.”
The moment the words leave your lips, it feels like an entire ocean has been lifted off your shoulders. It’s like suddenly, a cold wind blew past you and whipped out all your worries and stress. Instinctively, you close your eyes momentarily. Is this what relief feels like?
“'M sorry.”
He smiles, his two hands grabbing your left as he places your open palm on his heart and holds it there. Sunghoon’s eyes exude love, protection, safety, patience, and respect.
“I know, pretty.” He whispers back quietly, “I love you. I’m sorry too.”
With your newfound confidence in yourself, you tilt your face up to his, staring into his pretty dark eyes, and then, you lift yourself up onto your tippy toes. Sunghoon feels his heartbeat go fast and faster as your face comes up to his own.
You can’t believe you’re doing this. He can't believe you're doing this.
One of your hands now rests on his shoulders as you lean into him, the other slowly placed on the back of his neck. You pull him towards you.
And you kiss him.
When your lips find him, the first kiss is unbearably soft, exactly how his lips feel, and for the briefest of seconds, those lips, yours and his, are tentative, unsure of what they might find.
Sunghoon's lips are as good as his eyes in painting a picture of his emotions. He brings his burning hands up, resting them on the curve of your hips, and feels himself tremble.
He's an impatient man. As the seconds pass by, Sunghoon earns more of you. The feeling takes over his entire body and mind, and the second he can he as you pushed back into the wall. Never in a million years did he imagine he would be kissing the girl of his dreams right in her living room.
His body seems to have taken complete control over his thoughts, one leg slotting between yours and his big hands leaving your waist to find a home in your cheeks again, to tilt your mouth up and open for him.
“Missed you,” He hears you murmur between kisses and swears he can die a happy man right there. His tongue instinctually catches your bottom lip. You love him.
He shakes in your arms at this, holding you closer, his thigh warm between your legs.
“Missed me?” he mumbles back, lips grazing yours.
You find yourself nodding, breathless and dizzy. Overwhelmed as he kisses you. Your hand lingers in his hair, and you give the dark strands a light tug, pulling him back slightly. You want to see him.
Pretty pink lips wet and swollen. He’s heaving now, chest rising and falling with each desperate breath.
You melt at the sight.
He sags, pressed firmly against you, wedging you between his thighs and the cool wall behind you.
Sunghoon leans closer, pressing his forehead to yours, “We could’ve been doing this the entire time, pretty.”
You brush his strands of hair back slowly, “Then, why stop?”
He crowds against you even closer, nuzzling your nose with his, sneaking a quick kiss to your cheek.
“Good,” he murmurs. “'Cause I’m never stopping.”

right where you left me | 4 | Park Sunghoon
Tumblr media
Synopsis - Soomin does the same thing every day. Wake up, take the train to school, spend hours on end learning, take the train home, study, sleep, and repeat the process. One unlucky day, it is all put to a stop. And a certain school mate is there to help where he can.
Warning - Gore, zombies, death. Based loosely off Train To Busan.
The three teens and child sat down in the train car they were in. They figured it would be best to separate from the group. What if someone was infected and they were exposed to it? So they sat in two sets of seats. Mina and Soomin in two seats (Mina by the window and Soomin on the outer side) and Sunghoon and Areum behind them (Areum safe by the window and Sunghoon on the outer side).
“So we just wait?” Mina said in a bored tone. Soomin couldn’t really blame her. The train ride seemed extra long and they were doing nothing. Their phones were dying so they refused to be on it to preserve power. All of them left their book bags in the other train car and there was no way they would be getting them.
No to mention the quiet. God it was so quiet. Soomin wished she had some way of listening to music. Something that would make the idle sound disappear. “We can’t go walking around. We don’t know who could be infected.” Soomin said while picking at her nails. And then everyone was silent again.
“How are you, Areum?” Mina broke the silence again, this time turning to speak to the little girl. The girl seemed happy at the chance to speak. “I’m doing good! I’m just glad me and Sunghoon aren’t alone.” Areum kept her voice silent, something the teens couldn’t have but appreciate. The last thing they wanted was someone hearing and joining them.
Mina nodded and gave her a bright smile. “Good…” She trailed off sitting in her seat the correct way. The words she spoke had hit Soomin hard though.
What if they never ‘teamed’ up? Would Soomin and Mina be alone, defending themselves and coming up with ideas? Would they have never ran away in time and one of them got attacked? So many possibilities.
“Look, we’re arriving.” Sunghoon said, standing up to lean over his sister and look out the window. Soomin did the same and leaned over her friend. The four of them stared out the window in shock. What the hell happened?
“Oh my god…” Soomin whispered. Right outside the train station was a car on fire. The bright red and orange flames licked up at the sky in anger. Trash littered the ground and belongings of others looked to have been thrown about in a hurry. The place was a mess to say the least.
“Do we go?” Areum asked and received a shake from Mina’s head. “It’s obvious something went wrong out there… We can’t just barge out there.” Soomin stood her ground with her words. She received a look of agreement from her friend.
“And what? We’re supposed to be stuck in here until someone comes to kill us?” Sunghoon’s words were harsh. Even his sister flinched at his words. And Soomin couldn’t help but agree somewhat. Staying in the train was a death wish. But leaving could be just as bad.
“Well we can’t just go running around like chickens with their heads cut off!” Mina’s voice was angry. Soomin could tell she was losing her cool. “We just need to calm down and think about this. We can’t stay here but we can’t run out there with no plan. We need to think of a plan. A place to go.” Soomin suggested putting a hand on her friend’s arm.
“We can go to school. I’m sure they have some sort of order going on.” Sunghoon said, eyeing the two other teens. Soomin nodded her head and looked at Mina. Mina looked hesitant. As though the plan was burning a hole in her brain.
After what felt like a minute of waiting, Mina nodded. Soomin felt a surge of relief flash through her body. One thing she hated was conflict but Mina was a conflict magnet. For as long as Soomin had known Mina, she would often defend people and step in when she thought it was needed. The very last thing Soomin would have wanted was for them to butt heads over something that could determine something so serious.
Finally the train came to a full stop and Soomin couldn’t help but become anxious. This train had become their safe place (somewhat). Leaving felt like the closing of a short chapter of her life. One second she was sitting on the train, worrying about a math test and now she was about to get off the train into a whole new world.
“Okay let’s go.” Sunghoon said walking towards the cars they had tried so hard to escape earlier. “Wait… is the only exit through the first train car?” Mina questioned as they walked slowly out of their safe space. Sughoon shook his head before answering. “There is an exit in every few cars. Luckily we are right by one.” As he spoke the exit came into frame.
Soomin couldn’t help but stare at the mess around them. It truly looked like a scene from a book or movie. Tables were upturned as they walked down the street. The usually crowded sidewalk was void of anyone. Soomin couldn’t help but notice how unusually quiet it was.
“God… this is so strange.” Mina said, walking in the rear of everyone. All four of them looked around, hoping to see some sort of live form. Maybe a sign. Anything would do. But sadly, there was nothing.
The closer they walked towards the school, the more hope they lost. They should have heard or seen something by then. Maybe a sign saying that there was a safe haven or maybe some guard watching over making sure survivors would know where to go. Sure they had been told there were safe places but nothing was clear. Where in Seoul? Where in Daegu? “Maybe they are keeping silent so as to not attract any unwanted attention from anyone infected…” Soomin sounded as though she was convincing herself. Neither teens answered her back and her words hung in the air.
“Oh no…” Mina said as they rounded the corner that the school stood at. And it looked… empty. As though it had been abandoned. The closer they walked towards the school, the more things just looked wronged. The door was held open by a door stopper. The windows on the lower floors looked boarded shut. Blood was streaked on the windows as well as the floor in front of the door.
Areum turned her head away from the scene but the teens couldn’t look away. Soomin’s hand covered her mouth in shock. Mina’s eyes were wide in fear? Shock? But Sunghoon… Sunghoon, who usually had no reaction in his face, was… scared? Upset? Nervous? Soomin couldn’t tell.
“W-what do we do now?” Soomin finally asked. Sunghoon visually shuddered and Mina jumped at the sound of her voice. “We… we stay here. We secure a room and stay there until this is over.” Sunghoon suggested. “Preferably next to the cafeteria.” Mina said, nodding in agreement with him.
The plan, to Soomin, seemed like a last minute resort. Something that could go wrong in any second. How are they supposed to secure a room? They have no idea what they are doing. And to add insult to injury, none of them had come up with a solid solution to any of their problems. It all seemed like last minute choices that would lead to something going wrong.
And as much as Soomin wanted to speak up, she couldn’t. She could barely even speak let alone disagree. And what would she say if she were to share her concerns? It wasn’t like she had a better idea anyways. Soomin could only tell herself that once they settle down, they'll come up with an idea they can all agree on.
Soomin couldn’t help but enjoy the quiet High School. The building, usually loud with teens, was silent. So very silent. She knew she shouldn’t enjoy it seeing that the circumstances weren’t the best, but she couldn’t help reveling in it.
“I think we should also make a trip to Areum’s school. It isn’t too far and there might be people there.” Sunghoon said, sitting on top of a desk. The four of them found a room close to the cafeteria that they could stay in until further notice.
Soomin was sitting on the desk that Mina had pulled a chair up to. Areum was lying on the teacher’s desk, using her arms as a pillow and Sunghoon’s school jacket as a cover. It was obvious the previous situation they had been in made her extremely tired. Her light snores could barely be heard by the other three in the room.
“Should we split up?” Mina said, leaning back in her chair. She had removed her pink hair roller after Areum asked her what it was for. “No, that’s a bad idea.” Sunghoon said plainly, earning a slight glare from Mina.
“Splitting up never goes well. We stick and work together. No matter what.” Soomin said with a hint of finality in her voice. Sunghoon was shocked to see the meek girl being so stern. He noticed from the first time he saw her that she wasn’t the type to survive situations like this. But who was? It wasn’t like they were prepared for apocalyptic situations.
“We will go tomorrow. We’ve been through enough today and it’s a bad idea to go when we are drained.” Soomin admired Sunghoon for taking the leader role. Something she wouldn’t have been able to do.
“Should we take turns staying awake and watching over?” Mina asked and received nods from both teens. “I’ll take the first watch tonight.” Sunghoon said before standing off his desk and walking towards the door. “Until then, I’ll head to the cafeteria for food and supplies.” He looked at us from over his shoulder as he spoke.
“I can go too?” Soomin shyly said. She had all but expected a decline from him. He didn’t seem like the type to work well with others. Not to mention she knew the only reason he joined was for his sister.
“Sure.” He said simply before walking out, not even waiting for her. Soomin looked at Mina in shock and Mina shooed her off the desk and pushed her towards the door. “Go before he leaves you behind.” She whisper-yelled. Soomin quickly jogged after the boy.
The walk towards the cafeteria was extremely short (both teens were happy about this). The second they entered, they were met with a breeze, Soomin couldn’t pin-point where the breeze was coming from though.
“Okay, we will start in the kitchen and drop what we find back into the room. Then we go to our room and see what we can find.” Sunghoon immediately took control, something Soomin found nice. She followed his orders and entered the kitchen and searched for whatever could be useful.
The kitchen was a mess of silver appliances. Soomin couldn’t help but wonder if anyone could genuinely find anything in there. The young women searched diligently. The more she searched the more she felt like the trip was worthless. It had seemed as though most of the food was young and anything that could have been used as a weapon was also taken.
“Damn it…” Sunghoon whispered before closing another empty cabinet. Soomin couldn’t help but feel bad. Everyone was clearly stressed but Sunghoon seemed to be taking on most of the problems on his own. He had put himself in the leader position and was now facing one of the many faults of being the leader. The undeniable feeling of failure when you can’t accomplish something.
Soomin honestly was starting to feel like giving up. Something she did very often. She knew it was a bad habit but when things got hard, she would shut down. Like she first did on the train. When she should have been running, she was frozen. And now she just wanted to go home, lay in her bed, and take a long needed nap.
Just when Soomin was ready to call it in, she opened a small freezer off to the side. It had been hidden by other appliances. It looked as though someone tried to hide it. Soomin lifted the top and nearly dropped it. It was a small fridge, she realized. Full of bread, water, milk, and other snacks. She assumed it was probably a staff member's stash during work.
“Sunghoon, over here!” she whisper-yelled. She could hear the scuffing of his tennis shoes on the linoleum floor. He stopped just beside her and gazed into the fridge. “Good job. We’ll need these.” Soomin paused at his words. The praise was something she least expected. She just nodded and looked around for something they could put the food in temporarily.
“We can bag it and get the min-fridge from the staff room and use that. Is that alright?” Soomin said, picking up a stray garbage bag that was thankfully empty. Both teens started filling up the bag. Soomin went to pick it up but Sunghoon grabbed her hand. “You found it. I’ll do the lifting.” Even though his sentences were short, Soomin appreciated the team work and could tell he did too.
Sunghoon carefully threw it over his shoulder and they began their journey back. During the short walk back, Soomin couldn’t help but think about how Sunghoon seemed to be warming up to her a bit. A little itty bitty bit. But it was still progress. And any progress is good progress to Soomin.
When they walked back into the room, Mina jumped up from her seat. She had a stray book she must have found opened on the desk which shut when she stood up so abruptly. “Did you guys find something?” Mina said before her eyes looked at the sack full of food. Soomin smiled at the thought that they looked like Santa bringing presents on christmas eve.
Sunghoon gently set the trash bag on the floor. “Soomin found a fridge full of food. We still have to find somewhere to put it. The fridge was too big to take here though.” Sunghoon quickly explained to Mina. Mina nodded along with his words and crossed her arms. “Sounds good. I’ll go with you this time and allow Soomin to rest.” Mina said before closing her book. “Alright…” Sunghoon didn’t sound too happy or upset about the new plan.
Mina and Sunghoon quickly left after that and went off to find a fridge and maybe something else they could use/need. Soomin sat down gratefully at the desk Mina was previously sitting at. It felt like her legs nearly gave out as she sat down. She didn’t even know she was this tired.
She couldn’t help but lay her head in her hands. As much as she wanted to close her eyes and sleep, she knew she still had a job to do. Protect and watch over Areum.
Soomin’s train of thought went everywhere. She constantly thought about a million what-if’s. What if this didn’t blow over like Sunghoon believed? What if they were already infected but they didn’t know? What if her parents were dead? Where were her parents? Were they looking for her?
Soomin had to physically shake her head as if to rid herself of her thoughts. “Are you okay?” Areum asked. Soomin jumped slightly in her seat, not having noticed the young girl had woken up. She gave Areum her best smile before answering. “Yeah I’m okay.” Even she didn't even believe herself.
“I’m scared.” Areum said, her voice shaky. Soomin hadn’t known the child for very long, but for how long she had known her (however long that had been), Areum wasn’t one to cry. She didn’t even say much. So to see her so… torn hurt Soomin’s feelings.
Soomin stood from her desk and walked over to the girl who was now sitting up. Sunghoon’s jacket falling off of her and into her lap. Soomin jumped up and sat beside her. “Well that’s very valid. I’d be worried if you weren’t.” Soomin gently spoke.  Seeing Areum act like a child made her feel weirdly normal.
“We don’t expect you to be perfectly calm during this. This is strange. It’s scary and weird. But we have your back. And I know we don’t know each other well, and that’s okay. We can get to know each other.” Soomin said, her voice happier.
“How can we do that?” The innocence in Areum’s words made Soomin’s heart clinch. “We ask each other questions?” Soomin’s words came out in question but she nodded after speaking, solidifying her words.
“What’s your favorite color?” Areum asked after thinking. Soomin smiled at the cute girl. “Pink. Yours?” Areum smiles back. “Purple.”
Word Count: 2,800
A/N: A bit longer of a chapter. As I said previously I started a job so updated will be a bit slow. I hope you all enjoyed Soomin getting closer to the Park siblings.
