//hmm, i kinda like this? sorry going homestuck using a bit of an analysis guide to remind me of shit.

//mage is, first off, an active class. it’s essentially a trade-off: greater power for a huge sanity check (since the power is from knowing everything related to said class). i like this as a concept depending on the class.

//now light. typically it’s used for one of two purposes: knowledge and fortune. also literal light but that’s not doing much except for fancy powers.

//losing it from knowledge of all there is to know is super cool and all—not quite vanilla though. good for a scientist!

//now full knowledge of and manipulation of fortune, complete with the mental debuff? …i like that more than i’d think, actually. vanilla’s life is a pretty heavy luck rollercoaster. not quite komaeda levels, but… getting there! (if you understood that. sorry. you may be entitled to financial compensation.)

//so combining inherent luck-heaviness with full knowledge of how to exploit that luck with inherent disguise powers to take manipulation of that to different levels? (perhaps taking on someone else’s luck?) fun stuff :)

They are super frustrating to deal with in that way, but they genuinely feel that encouraging anyone’s affection toward them is being unfair to that person.

If they care about someone (as much as they can, of course, there’s only so much a vampire that struggles with thoughts of eating people can, in their opinion) then it’s their job to make sure that person doesn’t care about them.

Because to Tuuya that’s just setting the person up for disappointment when they’re too gross or too strange or more about their past misdeeds comes to light. Everyone (quite reasonably) has a limit, be it with morality or physical discomfort and they’ll all hit it eventually. No reason to have emotional investment involved!
