I felt like tonight’s episode with those Alex and Lena scenes really showed us how amazing those two are together.
Yes, they still need to work on developing their relationship more, but now that Lena is a part of the group, that will be easier. We already saw bits of it in tonight’s episode and I’m excited to see more.
One thing they have in common, is that they both have this intense love for Kara. Those are Kara’s people. Sister and soulmate.
Also, Alex and Lena just look like sister-in-laws and you can’t change my mind.

Supergirl 6x4: Lost Souls.
Hey everyone, Korra here! Okay, this episode was pretty good, I thought! It was shorter than the last couple of episodes but I think it worked out better in some ways. SPOILERS AHEAD.
Kara’s dad, Zor-el, is so whiny. I’m glad he wasn’t in the episode all that much because man, I am so over him at this point.
Lena and Brainy are seriously the best friendship pair in the show. They’re really funny, emotional, and just really work off of each other well. That Ghostbusters scene was absolutely brilliant.
The vision scene where M’gann sees all the souls going towards the Prime crystal thing was so well done. The music, the lightening, the overall camera work really added to the mood and made you feel what she was. Very well done.
Brainy eating Kara’s favourite donuts was so sad and touching. He’s missing her so much.
Lena working with the Superfriends, finally. Should have happened ages ago, but it was still nice to see them acknowledge that she is a member of the team now.
Chyler and Katie were amazing in the scenes they shared together this episode, to no one’s surprise. I loved every scene they had together.
I really liked the scene of M’gann chasing after the stolen soul. I don’t why, I just did, haha.
Brainy and Nia’s scenes were also so lovely this episode. I don’t think they’ve officially gotten back together yet, but I actually think it makes it even better that Brainy supports Nia 100% even without romantic ties to their relationship. I can’t wait for them to get back together, but the writers and Jesse and Nicole have done such a good job with this so far. I’m impressed.
Ah, the elephant in the room. Yet another Clois parallel. It’s even from this show. Lena isn’t willing to sacrifice Kara to save thousands. Kara isn’t willing to sacrifice Lena to save thousands. Clark isn’t willing to sacrifice Lois to save thousands. Hmm...but, Kara and Lena are just fRiEnDs, right?
All the talk of stopping Prime and his progenies reminded me so much of She-ra and the Princesses of Power. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but I can’t help but think it was. I mean hell, even the Phantoms had similar looks to Hordak and Prime. If that’s the case... I can’t even with the SG writer team sometimes.
Supergirl has a lot of similarities to SPOP and LoK if that’s the case. Warrior of Justice expected to save the world from increasing threats that only she is strong enough to fend off? Having a brilliant queer coded partner helping her with endless resources? Partner betrayed trust of hero over some extreme misunderstandings and insecurities? Well, we know how those two shows ended, huh? Here’s hoping.
Ooops, haven’t talked about Kara yet. Kara gave a classic Supergirl speech about Hope(tm) to her father because he was being a whiny loser. Glad Kara is still standing strong by her ideals.
Nyxly betraying Kara is just sad. There was a lot of potential for them to have a really great friendship and bond over things, but nope. I still had hope that Zor-el was a figment created by Nxyly too, but also nope.
Kara smashing the mirror was so great, as well as her slow-mo running from the explosion. I have to ask though, did she leave her dad behind as well??
Oh, I saw a lot of “why didn’t they just take Kara’s hairbrush?” circling around. Hair that has broken off doesn’t actually contain DNA. It would have to come directly from Kara’s scalp for it to contain the DNA. And since it’s been a vague amount of time since Kara has been sent to the PZ, any hair that had the potential to have any DNA probably has been lost by now. Not sure if the writing team even thought of this, but that’s my reasoning behind it at least.
The final scene between Alex and Lena was just great. This is what should have been happening last season, but oh well. I’m just glad we’re getting it.
Best part of the whole episode? No outside cast. No Lex, no William, no Andrea. I think this was the best thing from this episode, because it allowed us to focus on the core cast. Not the MAIN cast, but the CORE cast that holds the show together. I only missed Kelly this episode, but I also understood that it was more Alex/Lena centric with Brainy/Nia taking second important focus.
See you all in Midvale next week! I’m excited for it!

Just wanted to say something:
Last night I got all excited because I read ACTUAL KRYPTONESE on Supergirl last night, but it was a quick glance so I waited until this morning to make sure:
THE LIGHTS SAY LIGHT!!!
In conclusion, Alura In-Ze Zor-El is the only Kryptonian who can spell.
Also, don’t judge me... but I’ve been fluent in Brewer Kryptonese since the third grade and have been trying to learn Doyle.
