It’s a thrill for me to announce our next performer spotlight, it’s delightfully dynamic Ginger SinClaire! @mssinclaireswares A 13 year veteran to the stage, Ginger SinClaire was a pivotal player in the forming of the Tucson burlesque scene in its inception. Never one to shy away from any spotlight, she strutted, bumped and grinded her way across the stage and in to her fan’s hearts. One of the things Ginger loves most about burlesque is the freedom that exists within the art form. Ginger decided at the beginning of her career that she wasn't comfortable stripping down to pasties. This became a defining moment in her burlesque career and she is now known for her coy non-reveals. "Burlesque accommodates all sizes, shapes, colors, creeds and ages. That's the beauty of it! It can be anything you want it to be, full on glamour or streamlined political statement. Ember Lace has been doing burlesque since 2014. She started off as the Stage Wench for Black Cherry Burlesque. She continued working with Black Cherry with the “Burlesque for the Soul” program. This was a huge turning point in her life, she began viewing herself differently and holding herself in a new light. This program has made her the beast she is today! She loves getting the opportunity to perform as often as possible. Ember loves the dark side of life and incorporates this style in to most of her acts. She enjoys showing the audience a different side of burlesque that they may not be aware of. She is also the Stage Manager for The Manlesque show put together by the bosses, Stephka Von Snatch and Rooster. She delights in being one of the girls with all those crazy ass dudes! Burlypicks is the ultimate burlesque showdown and it starts in a city near you. Acceptance into the The 2019 Burlypicks World Championship will be contingent upon winning in a Regional competition or being one of the top placing "people's choice" winners, in Burlesque B's annual online contest. We are committed to re-expanding the definition of Burlesque to include all the variety that made it a national treasure and worldwide entertainment phenomenon both today and in the past. To that end, we are encouraging Stripteasers, Dancers, Musicians, Magicians, Aerialists, Jugglers, Clowns, Comedians, Comics, Ventriloquists, Sideshow acts, Drag acts, and anything we haven't seen yet, to complete for the gold! . The overall winner, along with anyone selected for a Masters Award, will get to compete for their category representing Arizona at the World Championship in Columbus, Ohio October 3-6. Burlypicks will be featuring meet and greets, classes, after parties, and more. . Each act will be eligible to win any of the titles. The acts are judged in a manner that does not favor any one style of performance or type of talent. The Best overall category, receiving Gold/Silver/Bronze medals, are judged based on 5 disciplines: Talent, Poise, Polish, Costume, and Creativity. In addition to the Master's categories, the Finals will include additional guest judges and award other superlative titles. Master of Assels and Master of the Tassels will be judged by audience applause, as determined by the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. .
