azula didn’t want to talk about how she got dragged out here by the other. as strange and as annoying as azula would claim her to be, she had been enjoying the company. something about it felt familiar. she wasn’t exactly a huge fan of the boats. but whatever. it wouldn’t kill her. “where’d you even hear about this?” azula asked as the were standing on the dock, waiting for the person to get the boat ready for them.

they weren’t sure “adjusted” was the right word for how settled they had been here within the city. if anything, they just stopped sleeping with a gun under their pillow.. though a switchblade still stuck close to her side. sarah had been a big help in that, in making her feel slightly at ease in a big city like this, in an environment that only brought memories of the qz’s back to the forefront of their mind. but as they moved, looking over their shoulder, they felt a presence all too close to them, turning instantly in a panic, blade drawn at his throat before the realization crashed down around them. “--joel?”

nico groaned, back hitting the wall of whatever building was closest. shadow travel was the obvious choice for him to get around, he definitely wasn’t going to push his way through a panicked crowd to find one person if he could avoid it, but he forgot just how much it could take out of him. despite being tired it wasn’t tired enough for him to miss the prescance of someone nearby and immediately raise his sword. the man almost looked a hint familiar, like a face he’d seen in passing before, though the fact just left him feeling even more on edge. it wasn’t like there were familiar faces he trusted. “get out of here.” he was tired enough not to start fighting immediately, but it was the only small grace nico had to offer in the moment.

heron rolled his eyes. “listen, helga. i didn’t do anything to rowena. i can’t help you if you lost her. contrary to what you might think, i would never hurt her or helena.” heron snarked to the other. “i really don’t understand why you all think i would hurt my child. i just want to make sure she’s safe!” heron couldn’t help raise his voice a bit, filled with anger and resentment. especially in the chaos carrying on, he would have no way of protecting her in all this.
