Hey, it's the Raindog

Music has always been my way saying what I couldn’t put into words. So I’d just write, hoping someone, someday would listen and maybe understand, feel the same. I grew up in a small town of about 400 people in Switzerland, where everybody knows everybody. I've never quite felt like I fit in completely. Don't get me wrong, I love the valley and my valley people, I am one of them. But there's a part of me I kept safe, away from opinions and judgment. I only put it in my songs. So if anyone would ever want to really really know me, they'd have to listen to the lyrics. Starting this blog is my way of finally letting that part of me free to dance out in the world, my way of opening up to others. If anyone sees this: you're welcome to stay, tell me something about yourself.

In today‘s Lucerne newspaper there is a long article on Swiss rock music history in Switzerland 1969-1987. With a list of the 50 most important records Flame Dream is listed among the 50 most important albums at 35. Flame Dream released six albums from 1978 to 1986, most notable 1978’s " «Calatea» and 1981’s «Out In The Dark». «Rock had to knock twice» naming my old Lozärner, Weggis, Kriens progressive rock band I played guitar in Flame Dream rated at number 35. _____ Translation: 69 «Rock had to knock twice» The rebellious sound was late in the sleepy Switzerland. But a little over 50 years ago. We went on a search for traces in the eventful time of the almost forgotten generation of founders. Who was the first Swiss rock musician? Il y a une année je dessinais une plante par chanson pour l’album de @lesfilsdufacteur parce qu’il me semblait important d’associer musique et nature autour de ce projet. Chaque texte est illustré par une plante et son vase à l’intérieur du livret et chacune d’entre elles apparaît sur une étagère dans le volet intérieur du cd. Le groupe a imprimé une carte postale pour chaque chanson et on me dit dans l’oreillette qu’il en reste! Repost en story + tague-moi pour en gagner les 12 d’un coup! EN: A year ago I drew a plant per song for the album of @lesfilsdufacteur because it seemed important to me to associate music and nature around this project.
