Just a little rebel lass with a bark just as strong as her bite 🐺✨

I made a Star Wars Rebels, Mandalorian oc/self insert, with the ability to shape-shift into a space-wolf/lycan species (cause why not?)!

I’m still learning more about Star Wars, I have been re-diving into a lot of it my main blog because of Sabine/Ezra (the beans) and it developed into wanting to create a self insert 🤍 one who is Mandalorian, because I genuinely love the lore, culture and language of the group (Sabine being a strong motivating factor 💜).

Danielle would definitely star in somewhere in Rebels canon, sometime around season 2, maybe as a contact/client for the Ghost crew to provide them with some intel or so, and likely join their little group after they learn more about her ;w; (I love found family, ah).

Can you also tell I’m re-obsessed with THG and ABOSBAS too? I’ve fallen for the soundtrack and songs and it just fits what I have going for with Dany here~ definitely a lass with strong vocal song, the rebels could use song and music to strengthen their spirits 😌

While it’s more for the found family and platonic relationships! I have also thought, why don’t I insert Atsushi or Jason into Star Wars too 👀😳 make it an Au within an Au 🙌🏼 perhaps (─‿‿─)♡ and make them a Jedi or a pilot? 😍 heck yes!

We shall see 😊 I definitely love the design I have going for my self insert here! 🙌🏼

Been a while since I’ve posted and reblogged things here 🥹 I am still very much alive and still loving Atsushi and all my silly f/o’s. Still thinking a lot about my silly self insert that I made for Star Wars Rebels/Star Wars too 💜.

Got a chance to commission the @meldy-arts an art of my silly half Mandalorian-Lyca-Beast 🥹 and she turned out so lovely and beautiful and I just love the background 😭🌾 it is so fitting and makes me cry 🥹🌾 precious loth kitty going to comfort a smol lass (ei. me 😌✨)

Hehehe, I just had a giddiness of fun drawing my self insert interact with Sabine and Ezra, she's a tiny ma'am's than the both of them, but is a massive tank in her Lyca-nortic Beast form.... Bites them lol I forgot to mention she can speak in her Lyca-form too~ 👀🐺

The scenes above are essentially from the infiltration mission Midnight (Dany) informed the Ghost crew on prior to meeting them. Originally, only seeking them out for the ride, with compensation for getting there and getting out safely. However, Hera wasn't on the idea of her going alone, despite her adamentness that she's done this multiple times before.

Caving in, Midnight allows for Sabine and Ezra to come along for their stealth and skills. A quick and sneak infiltration that wold have gone well had her contact not given her false intel on escaping~ So several stormtroopers come firing, they scramble and are essentially trapped until Midnight makes a sudden decision to reveal her Lyca-form.

They do all manage to escape just fine~ with only a shot at my self insert in her Lyca-from when leaping onto the Ghost. Which leads to this following draw that takes place like a few days later:

Silly conversation with the best boy, Ezra! 🤭 Dany has definitely warmed to the Ghost crew, however still plans to follow through with the initial plans of the mission by going off on her own again after helping them. Singing her way for credits and looking for rebels to assist where needed.

But out of her earshot, the crew has definitely taken a liking to her, despite being in her late teens, nearly 20, they (specifically Hera) think she acts a little recklessly with her life, especially upon learning more about her background.

So, since Ezra has been the one to talk with her more frequently since meeting her they send him to convince her to join the Ghost. After some time, he brings up the question to her, which leaves her in state of surprise... I wonder why? ^ↀᴥↀ^

well,,, despite my silly cliffhanger there 😅 at the end of the day she does accept! My self insert becomes Specter-7 (forgive me Jacen being Specter-8 in my au), perhaps, I'm in the mix if she'd like for the crew to refer to her as Midnight while on missions or for the sake of consistency, Specter-7,,

Mi tigre! It's been so long! 🐯🤍 I have inserted him into the narrative for my personal enjoyment (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

As ya'll can see through my main, I am still deeply obsessed with Star Wars, especially Rebels lately. I've also just missed Bungou and mi precioso tigre, but haven't had time to jump back into it. So, I brought Atsushi (and mostly the Agency in the background) into Rebels 🐯🤍

His tiger ability is still alive in the form of a self inserted species created for my silly self insert narrative. A Lyca-nortic Beast, a type of humanoid group that has the capability of transforming into a beast or half beast at will. His backstory is relatively the same as in canon 🥲; unlike Dany, he doesn’t transform into his Lyca-form often, his emotions are much more erratic and wild to do so in that form.

Plus he is also a Jedi, which makes such intense emotions more harder to control (°ヮ°) He’s still training, I’d say just about the level of Ezra or a bit more, when he meets Dany and the Ghost crew late in season 3 of Rebels. Lol guess who trained him ~

I swear, the best option would be Kunikida, but there is something hilarious about it being Dazai. Lol, too many Jedi in the agency if we are to dub all ability users as Jedi, where the hell were they during the rebellion 😭 hehe ~

Any whom 🤍 I’m just having some silly fun, I’ve missed Atsushi immensely and he is consistently in my thoughts 💭

The fate of my self inserts clan is pretty obvious, I won't hide it since it is a big part of her story arcs and is revealed pretty much soon after a mission with the Ghost crew ~ but this little snip of my self insert comforting Sabine after the Purge is self-explanatory 💔 I truly wonder how Sabine dealt with the aftermath, first losing her clan and then having Ahsoka practically leave her (not the abandonment issues again 😭) or have a fallout argument,,, like ahhh 🥲

I pray Dave Filoni gives us more info into Season 2; it's giving whatever anguish and pain Susan Pevensie dealt with after what occurs in The Last Battle*CHOKES*

My self insert dearly loves both Sabine and Ezra; I have a lot of background buildup that plays into Dany and Sabine's relationship to each other and its wild and angsty during SWR ~ But its all goodie 🥺 they develop a beautiful relationship after the fact as shown by the doodles above ;;w;; Just a silly pair of lasses that miss their blueberry 🫐 and now have even more similar losses, one that Dany never wanted Sabine to ever experience... 😔💔

Sabine’s appearance here resembles closely to her appearance in the SWR season 4 epilogue.

After the Purge of Mandalore and Ahsoka and Sabine go their separate ways.

Dany (along with her mate/partner) immediately goes to check on Sabine, finding her alone and a disheveled mess in the old comms tower she's made her second home on Lothal. The young woman was curled up in a fetal position looking smaller, vulnerable than Dany's ever seen her in.

Sabine sits unresponsive and completely shut down, even as the petite woman knelt before her attempting to coax anything out of her. But even she knew nothing she could say would be enough to comfort the emptiness now in her heart from this painful loss.

In an instant her large Lyca-nortic form appeared, walking around Sabine, until she laid herself behind the young Mandalorian woman. Curling her body to wrap around her like a warm embrace, her fluffy tail wrapping around her like a blanket.

A shaky gasp leaves her before Dany soon felt Sabine collapse her weight onto her side and into the fluff of her mane. A deep rumbling sound leaves her in comfort, listening as her friend practically trembled, clutching her fur tightly as she struggled to keep herself from crying; or perhaps scream and curse in anguish.

“Did…did it hurt… This much for you?” Sabine rasps out after sometime, her hands clutching tightly onto the fluff of her mane, before feeling her grimace slightly. A muffled apology leaves into fur, her hands releasing from their tight hold, flexing her hands between a fist and open palm.

Dany gave a low whine from her mawl, her ears flattening against her head and mane as she thought of the fate that fell on her clan, her family, long ago. The ache in her heart returned in a familiar sting at the reminder of it, especially after recent events. 

Despite the ache of old memories, the large Lyca-nortic wolf shifted her head slightly, curling closer to her dear broken-hearted friend, “Pain… all same..” She rumbled out, her long, fluffy tail curling into Sabine’s lap as the young woman choked a muffled sob.

Dany/Midnight is still a charismatic little lass with her charms and flirts, but it all stems from somewhere ✨ I’ve definitely been trying to develop her wolf-like form too, which I have now dubbed as a self inserted species type called Lyca-nortic Beasts, a type of humanoid group that has the capability of transforming into a beast or half-beast at will – many carry features of their beasts in their human forms, while some have more of their beast-like features than human features. Lyca-nortic beasts are born in a variety of animal/creature forms, they are all omnivores, and can take on unique aspects such as cloaking, rabid healing, endurance, etc.

I've also been thinking of her backstory with her Mandalorian clan, Clan Mason. Heck, I even developed her clan’s crest, referencing several known ones just to get the style and design across, while still making it unique to creative freedom.

I had loads of fun with it 🐺💜 as shown from the sketches to final design. Lol, to those that know of my original characters and stories: it's giving Wrath (because of the way I've drawn his scarred face and teeth) and also Quilodra (who has an exposed deer head skull with a point of light glow in the eye sockets~).

The draws below is a more detailed look of her Lyca-form without color at the moment, but has dark to light greys, white and browns on her.

Also, yes, that is her beskar armor on her,,, I’ve thought about how flexible transforming would be without the need to like, shred her bodysuit or anything and just thought of it as a second skin in a literal sense. Her armor has flexible bands that conform to the body. So besides removing her helmet, weapons belt, and vambraces, Dany can transform easily without the need to remove anything.

Plus, a doodle of her using her beskar-coated, compressible staff, with some details about her armor and tail 🐺.
