you first meet each other when your mom invites his family over for lunch due to her and his mom working together. (yes this is gonna be a moms friends son trope bc thats whats happening to me 😈).

you walk down to greet the family- completely expecting to see the ugliest boy youve seen in your life. only to find out hes a ua student, built, and ofc... super fucking hot...

bakugou just stares at you blankly as you walk up and say hello to his parents and him.

recognizing his mom, you give her a hug with a big smile as she does the same.

"y/n! meet my son katsuki! hes a year older than you, but you two should get along just fine!" introduces mitsuki happily.

all you manage is a nod in response as you meet his gaze again. "um... nice to meet you bakugou.." you say smiling slightly. "just call me katsuki..." he responds gruffly as he stuffs his hands further into his pockets.

"y/n.. why dont you take katsuki upstairs and let him play on my ps5?" says your dad jokingly as he nudges your shoulder. you roll your eyes with a grin before motioning him to follow you back upstairs.

as you turn on the ps5 you hand him the controller, "we only have cod right now..." you say apologetically. "so, i heard you go to ua right...?" you ask questioningly as you sit on the other side of the couch facing him.

"yeah im in the hero program" he responds focusing on the game playing in front of him. you nod you head thoughtfully at his response "what year are you in katsuki..?"

"im in my final year, what about you...?" he says finally glancing back at you with his carmine eyes. "uh... im in 3rd year" you say fumbling over your words slightly.

"damn your young.." he chuckles as he shakes his head slightly, "hey at least im not about to go to college.." you retort with a small smirk.

bakugou cant help but grin at your response, "you calling me old shorty?" he asks with a slight smirk.

you internally melt at the sight but remain composed, "hey, im just being realistic here.." you respond as you raise your hands up.

"realistic my ass.." he mutters quickly turning back to the game, "what ass are you talking about katsuki?" you ask with a laugh.

suddenly, you hear the sound of laughter and turn to see his head thrown back as he struggles to keep himself composed, "you- you should not being saying stuff like that shorty..." he says in between chuckles.

throughout the rest of the time you and bakugou start talking more and more, almost as if you two were old friends reconnecting. heck, even his parents were surprised to see him actually talking to you like a normal person.

just before they leave you stand by the door quickly responding to a friends message. "shorty.." he calls, making you look up to see him handing you his phone. "lets stay in touch so i can keep an eye on ur bratty ass.." bakugou gruffs blushing slightly.

you widen your eyes but quickly agree as you type in your number. "ill text you soon shortcakes.." he grins before ruffling your hair and walking out right beside his parents.

All you can do is stand there rooted in your spot with flushed cheeks, grinning like a delusional idiot

i felt like a hopeless romantic today so why not have some random headcannons?

i personally feel like bakugou wouldnt be looking for a relationship because of his ambition to wanna be a hero. so he kinda has that "itll come my way when its time" mentality with dating.

dont hate me but i think bakugou is the type of person to not "fall in love at first sight"

if he does find you interesting though, its because of the sole reasons of either your quirk or your personality. thats it- no other reason.

secretly probably has a thing for thick/curvy/muscular women, you cannot tell me otherwise.

once you two start talking more he'll secretly enjoy the way you yap when it comes to things you like or about something you genuinely cant stand.

i think bakugou wont be the one to make the first move unless like mina or someone tells him that you secretly have a fat crush on him as well.

on the other hand, if you were to confess to him he would try to act as nonchalant as possible but would be embarrassed, happy + his ego would definitely inflate.

once you both go public it is OVER for all the other "extras". bakugou would be showing you off left and right- "hey you see that hottie over there? guess what? shes mine- now look the other way!"

would be lowk scared that his brash personality would make you leave him for someone else, but you would always insist he was all you ever needed and thats all he needed to go back to the cocky bastard you know and love.

is a SUCKER for random compliments and physical touch. you hold his hand on the way out the class? instant butterflies. "your eyes are so pretty suki..!" fuck. he was whipped for you.

bakugou loves it when you massage his back or shoulders after a hard day of training. oh, and when you run your hands through his hair? hes on cloud nine.

loves cooking for you, but leaves the baking to you. he absolutely CANNOT bake for his life. would get too frustrated after having to do the same step multiple times because the recipe called for it and would just end up combining all the steps in one.

wont admit it but he loves when you use him as your walking heater. "bakugou im crampinggggg..." "here..." he says as he places his palm on your stomach as you sigh in content. he cant help but find it adorable when you force yourself on him if he doesnt do it himself.

last but not least... sleeping. hates being the small spoon because it makes him feel unimportant :( will sometimes stay up just to see your cheeks squished on to his chest as you sleep- dont be surprised to see photos of you like that on his phone.

slow mornings with bakugou is so sweet and soft. he would definitely press small kisses to your neck after each compliment he would say about you. only when youre asleep ofc. if you wake up and show even the slightest sign of knowing what he did, he would take a pillow and smack your face with it 100%. all with love though ofc. besides, its not like you didnt know about it for months now.

i definitely think kirishima first ends up seeing you talking to mina on a random day. you and her are just talking about dance when you two are suddenly interrupted by the outgoing redhead inquiring about who you are.

he suddenly realizes that you had went to junior high with them but had never really hung out with the popular group due to having a close circle of friends- one of whom is mina.

"actually? I never saw you..!" he chuckled rubbing his neck with a slight blush, you just wave it off with a quick smile, "nah dont worry bout it.."

well fuck... now at least kirishima knows what exactly he likes the most about you. your gut wrenching, heart pumping, adorable ass smile.

would immediately try and get mina to help him out with you in every. single. way.

"mina, whats her favorite color? And chocolate? To add to that thought- flowers as well. god mina I sound desperate!"

"nothing!" grins kirishima quickly. you nod slowly before you see mina side eyeing him with a knowing glance. "fine.." sighs kirishima dropping his hands.

"as i was saying.. our little man over here has a fat crush on you" she says nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders. you immediately break out a shit eating grin, "oh- yeah i kinda know.. he isnt very good at hiding things..." you chuckle.

"why didnt you say anything!" whines kirishima, "you couldve saved me so much time and effort!" completely forgetting that you hadnt given an answer to his confession.

"because i thought it was cute.." you admit with slightly flushed cheeks. you look away to avoid making eye contact before you feel kirishimas hands wrapping around your torso.

"so you like me back then right? please say that means you like me back.." he exclaims happily into your neck.

you just smile and wrap your arms back around him to give him his answer.

the next encounter you have with bakugou is when his mom invites you and a couple of close work friends over to their house.

you walk in and head upstairs to see the other kids only to find them in the theatre room watching Spiderman.

you awkwardly sit at the opposite end of bakugou and who you guessed was his baby cousin on his lap.

after about 30 minutes you start getting bored so ofc ur eyes start traveling to the other side...

that views better than the movie anyways.

"hey shortcakes... wanna play cards with the kids?" asks bakugou as he stands up grabbing his cousin.

"yeah we can" you smile sitting down on the floor in a circle next to his cousin. "hey there.. whats your name?" you inquire to the kid as bakugou goes to find the cards.

"tobio" (bear w me😭🙏) he states smiling, you grin before leaning to him, "hey you should really tell bakugou that you like me better.."

"okay" he giggles before shuffling next to you as you hear footsteps approach. "tobio- you like me better right..???" You chuckle.

"wayyyy better" he replies looking at bakugou, "suit yourself bud.. just know that means your not getting to play on my phone anymore" chortles the other male showing off his phone.

you slap his arm, "hey! thats leverage! not allowed!" you exclaim, "yeah..! What she said!" adds tobio looking at you.

"tobio youre supposed to be on my side here! I'm your cousin!" bakugou says defensively.

you stick your tongue out in response with a playfully grin as you hug tobio. "hes mine now old man..!" you laugh.

all that could be heard from downstairs was the sound of pure laughter from you and bakugou.

"dont start stealing my stuff shortcakes.." he grins at you as he stretches and slumps his body weight on to your side. you grunt as you shove him off, "get off you big back..!"

only to which you were suffocated by his weight again.

"MITSUK-!!" you start before bakugou places his hand over your mouth. you stare up at him wide eyed with a slight blush dusting your cheeks.

"how bout you dont kay shortcakes?" he asks with a devilish smirk.

you glance at bakugou quickly as you take your seat.

you cant help but let a small smile etch across your face. you grab your phone out your backpack and open messages, 

"katsukiiii"

you glance up to see him furrow his brows and open up his phone.

"yeah?”

"so to be clear we're keeping this a secret right?" "since we have exactly started dating yet and all.."

"yep. i dont want all these extras bothering us anyways"

"hey dont be rude theyre our friends kats😋"

"says who?"

"nvm then. ig theyre js my friends.." "but im your friend right??" "you have no other choice sooo 🤗"

you smile at your phone and glance at bakugou only to find him staring at you. you give him a quick grin before pretending not to notice him so no one would notice the interaction between the two of you.

you chuckle to yourself before hearing the bell ring, and put your phone away to prepare for the start of class.

you sigh packing up your notes back in your bag slowly. you wait for the class to empty out for lunch before walking up to bakugou with a smile, "ready?"

he nods, "yeah lets go" he walks beside you as you both walk to the training room for lunch again.

"so..." you start, feeling the quiet to be awkward. you glance at him, "uh.. you feel any better now compared to yesterday..?"

he nods, "yeah im not staying up all night anymore thinking of a certain pestering face" he quips playfully. 

you make a sound of fake hurt, "rude..! i am a very entertaining and comforting thought to many!" you say with a slight giggle.

"damn right you are.." he says with a tiny smirk. your lips curve into a genuine smile and you knock your shoulder against his.

"okay softie.." you tease softly. he chuckles before opening the door for you, "oh how chivalrous of you" you grin as you step in.

he rolls his eyes, "here step back out and ill let you open the door for me if thats what you want" he smirks.

"no thanks kats" you say with a wink. you turn and head to the locker room, "give me 5- imma change" he makes a sound of agreement and sets his stuff down.

you step back into the room and walk up to bakugou. "you stretched already?" you ask as you start to do so yourself. 

he nods, "yeah i did.. imma go to the bench press, call me if you need anything aight?" he says walking off with a water bottle and towel.

he nod before quickly glancing at his body, "gyatttt damn..." you mutter lowly.

"i heard that you damn perv!" he yells, flipping you off over his shoulder. you let out a loud bark of laughter that was soon followed by his.

you grunt as you work on your last set of rdls. you breathe in deeply looking at your feet to distract yourself from the feeling of your tensing muscles. "cmon genso- you got a good 5 more left in you." you hear bakugou say from behind you.

"h-huh?" you gasp from between breaths, "im literally- struggling..!" you grunt.

"nahnah.. cmon" he places his hand on the flat of your back and stomach, "3 more.."

you feel your face flush as you feel his touch on you. you quickly finish the set and drop the weights before stumbling to regain your balance.

"woah there genso..." he says steadying you, "why are you so dizzy? have you eaten anything today?" he asks slightly concerned.

"nah i just need my water.. had a protien shake this morning so im fine.." you manage to gasp out, "dont get too hungry anyways.." you say gulping down your water.

"woahwoahwoah.. you havent ate anything all day?" he repeats, "genso you gotta eat- especially if your working out. here- i have an extra snack bar.." he says grabbing one from his backpack. "your not leaving till you eat it."

"b-but.. what are you gonna eat..?" you say not accepting the bar. 

"i have lunch, ill give you some too.. i made some spicy curry.." he says sitting down and taking out his utensils. "what are you doing just standing there? sit down" he states, patting the space beside him.

you nod slightly sitting down quietly.

"i dont have an extra utensil, so you can eat first" he say pushing the container in front of you. you glance down at it before looking at him and hugging him, "thanks kats.. it means a lot to see you care so much about me.."

he freezes shocked but returns the hug awkwardly at first, but melts into it soon after. "course dumbass.. you need anything im here for you.." he mumbles into your neck softly.

you smile before pulling away and taking a bite of his food. your eyes widen in shock, "kats this is so good..!" you say smiling. you take another scoop and hold it up to his lips, "here have some!" you say excitedly.

he widens his eyes, "b-but- you just-" he stammers.

you wave your hand dismissively, "who cares- ahhhhh" you mimic, opening your mouth. he opens it slightly and you put the spoon in his mouth softly.

"my god- i dont know what i did to get so lucky and get someone who can cook and workout well too..!" you say between bites. "eat some more or else i will" you warn.

"um first of all- hell no. second of all- slow down woman!" he chuckles grabbing the spoon from you. "gonna choke yourself at that rate.." he scoops some curry and brings it to your lips, "open wide.." he mutters quietly.

you widen your eyes but open your mouth nonetheless.

you smile as u chew and swallow, "sooooo.... whats up with u and izu?" you ask as casually as possible. you glance up to see his mouth form a frown, "oh cmon katsss..."

"he just pisses me off. we knew him since forever- he told us he couldnt get a quirk and then out of nowhere he manifests this strong ass quirk!" he runs his hand throigh his hair frustratingly, "i didnt have to worry about the damn nerd before but now- i cant let him beat me, he cant look stronger than me." He stresses looking at his palms.

you sigh pursing your lips, "oh kats... thats what this is all about..?" you rub ur thumb over the back of his hand softly, "i dont care if you were the 197th hero ranked out of 50- i would still be here for you. i dont like you because of how youre  better then everyone else and never lose... i like you because your the most attractive, smart, strong, determined, and hard working guy i met. and thats all that matters okay?"

he glances up at you with widened eyes. he opens his mouth to talk but instead shuts it and scoops you into a tight hug.

"Oh-" you freeze slightly before relaxing into the warmth of his body against yours. "i know dont wanna say thank you, but ill say your welcome nonetheless" you giggle playfully.

Bakugou tightened his grip on you and said a silent prayer,

you watch him eat quietly before speaking out, 

"so uh.. what time did you end the call yesterday night?" you fiddle with your earring, "when i woke up it said the call only lasted for an hour so.." you trail off glancing at him.

he swallows thickly, "it was nothing-"

you purse your lips, "your lying.." you look at him. "theres something your not saying.."

"fuck off genso. you dont need to know everything" he spat continuing to eat his food.

you widen your eyes, "w-well.. im sorry but- i want to know because out of everyone you chose to call me and actually get along with me yesterday, but for some damn reason today you wanna act like an ass and ignore me!" you exclaim. 

"you did this to me before we even came to UA..! you- you made me promise you to make it to UA so we could be friends again and you just-" you tear up frustrated.

he glances at you quietly before placing his plate down. "dont cry- dammit.." you grunts, running a hand through his untamed hair.

you wipe your tears before they fall, "im not-" you say defensively as you glance the other way.

"genso i-" he starts, "look i didnt go to school today because i was up all night thinking of something- or well someone.." he explains, avoiding eye contact with you.

should you be feeling... hurt? why did it sting when he said he was thinking of someone? was this normal?

"who..?" you ask, your throat suddenly becoming dry.

he glances up at you before turning back down to his food. "i-" he croaks.

"i dont think she deserves to have someone like me.." he responds. you swear you see his eyes tear up, but dont question it.

"oh kats- bakugou-" you start.

"call me katsuki, not bakugou. weve known each other far too long for you to call me my surname." he mumbles.

"well what happened to that after i finished middle school" you mumble a bit harshly. you turn away from him lowly.

"genso. i didnt want distractions- i had to make it in for u-" he stops abruptly as he admits it.

you widen you eyes and snap your head to him. "for me..?" you ask softly. he grumbles nodding slightly, "oh.. well- even if you meant no harm, you couldve said something you know? it really sucked if im being honest..." you admit rubbing your arm.

"i know.. i kinda fucked up the execution.." he chuckles.

you nod, "yea.." you say agreeing with a small smile, "but uh- ill call you katsuki i guess.. i can understand why you did it.. i kinda got into UA for our promise too.." you admit quietly.

he cant help but smirk slightly, "oh?" 

you smack his arm, "hush- now tell me who the girl is" u say with a tiny smile.

he curses lowly staring at the food before placing it down and turning to you. you adjust to face him too.

"oh for fucks sake.." he pauses, "genso- no- y/n... i-" he tears up.

you widen your eyes. he called you by your actual name.

"y/n.. i dont know how to tell you this- and this may come off as forward or quick but, i fucking cant stop thinking about you." he says blinking his eyes causing tears to roll down.

"i dont know what to do anymore because it physically hurts me to think of you a-and- im scared you hate me. i feel like you deserve someone so much better then me-" he sobs slightly.

your heart lurches at the sight and suddenly you wrap your arms around his shoulders, bringing him close to your chest. "dont." you say softly, cutting him off. 

his body shakes against yours as he buries his face in your neck. you rub his back softly, "katsuki.. weve been friends since we were in kindergarten.. yes, we have had our rough patches, but who doesnt?" 

you pause bringing his face up and wiping his tears, "i dont hate you, if anything i like you so much it frustrates me." you admit.

he looks up at you, "really..?" 

you nod, "really. how can i hate my best friend..?" you ask softly with a small smile.

he grabs your hands that are on his face and bring them down to press a soft kiss on the palm of your hand. "promise?" he mumbles into your hand.

you chuckle,

"promise katsuki.."

"ugh- your so annoying..!" you chuckle causing him to join in lightly as well. "but genuine question.. dont you usually sleep early? why are you up so late?" you ask curiously.

"i was jus' thinkin'... " he mumbles looking down, picking at his pillow slightly.

"bout' what?" you question, sensing a change in his tone.

"how do you know if you like someone..?" he asks quickly- almost too quick.

"woahhhh.." you tease, "does kacchan have a crushhhhh?" you say sarcastically.

"shut up genso! just answer the damn question!" he yells making you put down the volume quickly.

"okokok!" you chuckle, "i mean- if you like a person you should feel this like- jittery feeling in you stomach- but not in the 'im-scared-to-present-in-front-of-the-class-way.' its like a warm feeling yk?" you say as you look down, eyes softening slightly. 

"anytime that person is mentioned you immediately listen in, and every time you see them its like everything around you just..." you trail off.

"stops." he finishes softly, glancing at you through his phone. he took notes of the way your hair slightly fell over the side of your eyes and the old acne scars littered across a tiny spot on your cheek that he suddenly found endearing.

"yea.. you should feel as if every time your with them the world just goes quiet.." you mutter looking up at him through your phone. memorizing every inch of his face, like how one strand of his hair fell instead of spiking up and how his lips seem to pucker slightly when he isnt scowling.

you shuffle quietly and place your phone on your night stand before laying down to face it. "soooo..." you start awkwardly as you yawn.

"so..?" he replies mirroring your position. "you tired genso?" he asks, noticing your yawn.

you nod slightly, "a bit yeah.. we need to wake up early tomorrow no?" you mumble glancing up at him through droopy eyes. 

he nods, holding back a small smile. "yeah- yeah we do genso..." he says slightly softer than usual as he watches your eyes droop. 

"you wanna stay on call..?" you suggest tiredly as you close your eyes.

"oh..uh- sure.." he says feeling his cheeks heating up. "night genso.." he says softly.

"night baku.." you mumble, trailing off slightly as you feel yourself fall asleep.

bakugou lays down and sets his phone next to him. he glances at your peacefully sleeping face and lets out a low curse as he props himself up on his elbow and takes a quick screenshot.

he quickly lays back down as a wave of embarrassment and realization hits him. 'Whyd i do that?? god bakugou pull yourself together..!'

he groans softly feeling frustrated that he didnt know what to do. "i cant like her.. theres no time for that now..! i have to train-" he mutters.

he glances at you on his phone again. his eyes soften slightly before he tears his gaze away "no. i cant- i would just end up hurting her." he sighs.

he ends the call.

you walk to school with music blaring in your ears.

you had so many questions.

who did bakugou like? 

howd he get your number? 

whyd he call you instead of everyone else? 

how come the call ended after just an hour?

you sit in your seat before quickly stealing a glance at bakugous seat only to find him not there. 'weird.. bakugous usually always early..' you take out your phone to send him a text.

"where r u?"

you wait as you see him read your message.

"yk i can see that u read it right?"

"i dont feel good is all.""woke up and felt like shit"

"are u coming down with smth?' "i can take notes for u if u want"

"no its fine.""i dont need ur pity."

you purse your lips as you read his messages. there was obviously something more to it, but you didnt pry.

"okay well feel better then.."

he reacts to the message with a thumbs up. you roll your eyes'bros tryna be nonchalant but it isnt working out..'  you cant help but chuckle at your own thoughts, 'man no one makes me laugh the way i do..'

once class started you pulled out an extra sheet and started writing notes for bakugou just in case he may want them even though he said he didnt.

finally, the bell rang signaling the end of the day. you pack your stuff and walk over to bakugous house for the first time since elementary.

you knock the door softly before adjusting your hair. as the door opens you smile to see mistuki at the door. 

"y/n!!" she exclaims hugging you tightly.

you smile hugging back, "hi mrs. bakugouuuuu..!"

you grin up at her, "ive just brought some notes for katsu- sorry- bakugou. is he feeling any better..?" you ask, turning slightly worried.

"oh hun, i dont even know.. hes locked himself up there all day. he hasnt ate or anything.." she says sighing and rubbing her temples. "can you please do me a favor and go up there with some food and see if he'll listen to you?"

you widen your eyes "i dont know about tha-..!" you yelp as she pulls you in and hands you a plate to take upstairs.

"thanks hun! your the best!" she laughs, pushing you up.

you walk up quietly and knock on his door, "bakugou...?" you call out, "its ..y/n i brought you the notes and some food... open the door- please..?" you ask nervously.

you hear some shuffling before the door opens slightly revealing a tired looking katsuki with a shirt pulled halfway down.

"can i come in..?" you ask with a small awkward smile.

he nods and opens the door for you to walk in. "thought i said i didnt need the notes genso..." he mutters gravely.

"yeah well.. i figured you wouldnt wanna stress about doing it so.." you trail off placing the notes down and looking around his room. "it hasnt changed much huh..?" you say with a soft smile. noticing a photo that looked much to familiar you walk up to his bedstand, "is that..?"

he nods, "yea.." he croaks out as he sits down on his bed.

you pull out your phone showing the same photo in your phone case with a smile. "its one of my favorites.." you admit, sitting next to him and handing him the food. "here- you should eat if you wanna get better.."

he nods and grabs the bowl from you as he starts to eat. you glance back to the photo on his bedstand.

it was you and bakugou when you were younger.

you two were tangled together sleeping side by side with only one thing in common,

the all might themed friendship bracelets katsuki has made.

the heart between the two initials representing something more deeper than y/n knew at that time...

"wait up you guys..!"

the h/c haired girl yelled out of breath. "you're running too fast!" you stopped and put your hands on your knees steadying your breath. those two boys are so fast..! i cant even keep up!

"genso! hurry up! we have to be first in line for the new all might action figure!" exclaimed the ash blonde boy, katsuki bakugou, otherwise known as kacchan. "im coming!" you exclaimed picking up your pace to be beside him and the other green haired boy, izuku midoriya, otherwise known as deku.

"im so excited to get the new figurine!" deku exclaims happily, you laugh in agreement. the trio slow to a stop as they go inside the shop and find the display. "mommy! lets get it! pleaseee? i wont ask for anything else!" you begged, pointing at the shelf as deku and bakugou walked to the register with their moms following close by, getting ready to purchase the toy.

m/n grabbed the toy, "i dont see why you shouldnt get it" you smiled widely and gave her a hug repeatedly thanking her as she bought the toy. you and the two boys were smiling out of happiness, "hey kiddos lets take a picture!" exclaimed mitsuki holding up her camera. you got in between deku and bakugou and let out a big smile as the two hugged you.

well... more like just bakugou. he wouldnt even let poor deku wrap his hands around you. to him you were all his and no one else could be with you.

whats bakugous, will always be bakugous.

"genso!" you turned and looked at bakugou, "my mom said to invite you and your mom for dinner tonight" you smiled enthusiastically, "really?? i'll tell my mommy!" you ran over to your mom and told her what bakugou told you. she smiled and agreed, so you ran over and told him you would be coming. "well.. we best head home now kacchan so I can shower and come over, i'll see you in a bit. byebye!" you wave and grab on to your moms hand walking away.

bakugou smiled triumphantly, "hey old hag! genso's coming over for dinner with her mom tonight!" he yelled, "KATSUKI BAKUGOU IF YOU DON'T STOP CALLING ME THAT I'LL PERSONALLY GO RETURN THAT FIGURINE" she screamed, unfazed at how he had invited you without her permission.

it wasn't the first time anyway.

you rang the doorbell and waited eagerly for bakugou to open the door. "oh hi there y/n and m/n! please come in!" mitsuki stepped aside and you walked in. you took off your shoes and placed it neatly in the corner, "wheres kacchan?" you ask looking around. "the brat should be around here somewh-" "GENSO!!" bakugou came running up to you and hugged you, taking both you and both parents by suprise.

you blush slightly, " h-hi kacchan..! " you hug him back, he pulls away and grabs your arm dragging you to his room. "lets go watch some all might footage!" you smile as he drags you away.

"looks like my little brat has a crush on your daughter m/n.." mitsuki chuckled, m/n just sighed and added "young love.." which caused both parents to laugh to themselves.

you sat with bakugou on his bed watching the footage and making comments about how awesome all might is. "im gonna grow up and become a no. 1 hero just like him!" bakugou commented while punching his hand up in the air. you giggled at his action, "me too!"

bakugou turns to look at you, "your so lucky you got your quirk early! i can't wait for when i finally get mine!" you grin, "well whatever it is, i'm sure it'll be great!" bakugou jumps out of the bed, "wait here, i have something to give you!" he opens his drawer and pulls out a bracelet he made with the colors from all mights costume. you gasp, "you made that for me?" he nods as he puts it on you.

"theres the letter of your first name, a heart, and a 'k' for my name to show that i made it for you!" he exclaims, you blush and give him a hug. "thank you kacchan!" he blushes and stutters, "y-yeah, yeah.. whatever idiot..!" he pulls away and grabs another bracelet and puts it on himself. "now we can match!" he smiles and you giggle.

soon after a bunch of all might footage, mitsuki and m/n walk into bakugous room to find you laying on bakugou as he hugs you. both your parents look at the adorable sight and take photos to show you two later. "look at their wrists!" pointed m/n, "so thats why the brat was making bracelets!" smirked mitsuki, she prepared to tease him about it whenever he woke up.

m/n gently picked you up and grabbed your shoes. "we'll be going now.. thanks for the food mitsuki.. tell bakugou we both said bye!" mitsuki walked your mom to the door and waved bye as you two walked away.

her brat had a crush on you!

"oh that brat wont ever stop hearing about this!" she chuckled.

a couple years later.. (12 yrs old)

you stand there shocked holding your acceptance letter from icaru private junior high academy. i actually got in..!

your mom and your dad congratulated you, and started texting all your relatives to tell them the good news. you were happy.. of course you were. you had just gotten into the academy you've wanted to go to for years! but that meant you wouldnt be able to go to school with bakugou and deku anymore. the amount of stress on the academics would also leave you with no time for hang outs with them.

you sighed as you facetimed both of them, mentally readying yourself to deliver the news. "why am i in a call with pathetic deku, genso?" snarled bakugou, you kept your mouth shut. it bothered you how much he had changed just because deku didn't have a quirk. "i need to tell you two something.." you paused.

"i got accepted into that academy i've been ranting about" deku smiled, "thats great y/n! congrats!" you smiled, "thank you izu..!" you looked down sadly, "but that's not what i called about.. you see, i won't be able to go to school with you guys and hang out as much now..."

bakugous eyes widened, "what?! are you kidding me genso!?" you shook your head sadly, "oh no.. y/n.." muttered deku. "i just felt like i should've told you two before i left.." you fiddled with your nails. "my last hang out will probably be this saturday, if you guys arent busy please come, okay..?" you let out a sad smile.

"of course y/n..! anything for you!" you smiled and deku left the call, leaving you with just bakugou. "and you..?" you asked. he had been concerningly quiet during the entire conversation. "i'll come but it'll be after fucking deku leaves." he ends the call, and you sigh out, blinking back your tears.

deku came by with his mom and gave you a all might plushie to remember him by. he stayed for an hour and left after giving you a hug and wishing you luck at your new school. you sighed out, one friend down... one more to go.

bakugou came by shortly after that with his mom. you opened the door and was immediately brought into a bear hug by mitsuki. "good luck at your new school hun'. i know you'll do just fine, you're a sweet girl, anyone will like you." you smiled and pulled away looking at bakugou.

you waited for mitsuki to walk away and took bakugou up to your room. he sat down on your bed and stared at you. you sat there in quiet until he finally broke it, "do you really have to go..?" he asked quietly. you sat next to him, looking at your hands, " my parents want me to go.. i need to make them happy bakugou.. "

he handed you a printed photo. you grabbed it and your eyes started watering.

it was the photo of younger you and bakugou sleeping on each other with the matching bracelets on your wrists. "i thought you should have somewhat of a reminder of us before you go.." he mumbled.

you turned and hugged him, crying into his shirt. "i don't wanna leave you guys here and be at a new school by myself..!" he just hugged you back, trying not to show how upset he actually was. "i don't want you to go either genso.. but this is what's better for you and that's all i want."

"HEY BRAT WE GOTTA GO!" screamed mitsuki from below. you wiped your tears and stood up. "genso" he called, "promise me you'll get into UA so we can be friends again." you looked at him, "i promise i will" you repeated.

you both walked downstairs and bakugou and mitsuki left, leaving just you and your parents there. "i'm gonna go back to my room.." you mutter, heading upstairs. you sit on your bed and look at the picture of you and bakugou.

right there and then you swore to yourself you would work yourself tirelessly until you got into UA.

and that's exactly what you did.

you groan feeling a sudden pressure hit your head as you wake up slowly in the infirmary.

fluttering your eyes you look around to see bakugou asleep in the chair by your side.

"what..?" you groan feeling disoriented, looking down you see your leg in a cast. "oh cmon...." you whine, waking up bakugou.

"goddamn your loud..." he mutters as he stretches, "took you long enough to wake up.."

"what happened? why am i here?" you ask signaling to your body and around you.

"okay so... you made it to the finals in the 1v1's... fought against me and thats why you're here.." he pauses, "but- you did get third out of everyone"

"really bakugou." you reply with a deadpan expression, "you really had to put me back in a cast after i had just gotten out of one?"

"its not like i was trying to genso!" he shouts, "would you rather me go easy on you and show everyone that you still cant beat me, or fight you like i would with everyone else to show that you are strong?" he asks with a scowl.

you widen your eyes as you realize his reason, "oh..." you look down, "thanks then.. i guess.." you mutter before looking up at him, "okay but seriously though howd i end up in here?? every time i get injured i somehow end up in here but i have no idea how..."

he clears his throat, "thats not important... but now since your up ill be heading out.. damn shitty hair forced me to stay here until you woke up.." he mutters standing up.

"oh.." you sigh slightly looking down. why do i feel kind of disappointed that hes leaving...?

he stops right before he exits, "for what its worth.. i think a lot of pros were impressed by our fight. you did well genso." he states before opening the door.

"thanks.." you mumble with a slight blush covering your cheeks.

you limp into class slowly the next day.

as soon as you open the door, your crushed by mina, "oh my gosh! are you okay?? are you feeling better?? i was so worried y/n!" she rambles pulling away and checking over your body.

"chill out mina... at this rate shes gonna get hurt from you.." chuckles kirishima walking up to you with a soft smile, "how you feeling?"

"way better.." you chuckle, "okay but seriously though.. who took me to the infirmary?? because whenever i get hurt i always end up there, but i dont know how..."

"okay babe.. get ready cause its quite shocking..." giggles mina, "its yours truly... mr. bakugou katsuki over there..." she whispers while jabbing her thumb in his direction.

you let out a laugh, "hah! thats a good one..! but no really.. who is it..?" you sigh as your laughter dies down.

"we're being serious.." repeats kirishima with a slight grin.

you widen your eyes, "no fucking way..." you look at mina, "but he hates me..!"

"well he must hate you soooo much that whenever you get injured during class he just has to pick you up and rush you to the infirmary..!" she says sarcastically.

"yeah.. he did that during entrace exams too! i honestly thought you two were a thing.. kinda like an old couple yknow?" kirishima quips in with a grin.

"yeah exactly!" mina agrees, bouncing on her heels. "im sure everyone in class thinks it too from the way you two act around each other..! theres just- so much tension!" she squeals.

you clasp your hand over her mouth, "shush..!" you blush, pulling her away from bakugous hearing range. "you two are so loud..!"

"is someone getting flusteredddd...?" teases kirishima with a dopey grin.

"kiri!" you gasp, "youre supposed to be on my side here..!" you grunt slapping his arm lightly.

"no way..! do you like him..?" she asks with a slight whisper. "cmon tell ussss..!" she repeats, poking your shoulder.

you blush heavily, "n-no..! i mean- i dont think so..! ughhh.. i dont know- im not sure..!" you respond frustrated.

"yknow what i just heard?" says mina with a grin, "i like him i just dont wanna accept it!!" she answers with enthusiasm.

right as you start to open your mouth mr. aizawa walks in. "this conversation isnt over..!" you whisper before sitting down in your seat.

"listen up everyone" sighs aizawa, "the hero offers for each one of you have came in..." he says before turning on the projector and presenting the results.

you widen your eyes as you find your name with 3632 offers, "geez... thats a lot.."

"now since you all have made a name for yourselves today you all will be figuring out your hero names." states aizawa, "to help with that midnight will be monitoring over you all" he says welcoming midnight to the front before walking out.

you look at the slate on your table. cmon... whats a hero name i can use..? you think groaning slightly.

"can you stop whining genso?! i cant concentrate!" barks bakugou as he hits you in the head with his slate.

huh. maybe genso isnt a bad hero name... you let out a small smile before quickly scribbling it on your board and raising your hand, "im ready..!"

midnight smiles beckoning you to the front, "okay.. im gonna be known as the elemental hero: genso" you state with a small smile.

"traditional japanese! i love it!" claps midnight with a happy smile on her face.

"HEY I MADE THAT NAME UP GENSO! YOU CANT JUST USE THAT AS YOUR HERO NAME-" yells bakugou as he shoots up.

"well then... i guess i can thank you for your brilliant nicknames" you grin playfully, sitting down.

you stare at the paper of offers with your eyebrows furrowed. which offer do i choose...? theres so many..!

soon the bell rings causing you to stand up and place the papers in your backpack. slinging it over your shoulder you head your way out.

"genso..!" calls a voice from behind you, "wait up."

you turn and see bakugou glaring at you, "what is it?" you ask slightly intrigued.

"where are you gonna go for your offer..?" he asks gruffly looking to the side.

"uhh.. im not sure yet. why..?" you ask slightly confused to why he wanted to know.

"you should go for endeavor... one of your weakest elements is fire no..?" he says walking beside you.

you nod a bit, "huh.. your right, maybe i might go for him then. what about you?"

"im going for best jeanist. he is the no. 4 hero for a reason so i might as well see what hes all about.." he mutters.

"really?" you ask incredulously, "i would never see you going for him to be honest... hes so reserved and well.. your so- not reserved..?" you say trying to sound as nice as possible about your true opinion.

"you calling me a mess genso?" he snarls, glaring at you.

"no..! not at all..!" you chuckle sheepishly. "okay well maybe i was..." you admit scratching your neck. he chortles slightly, causing you to widen your eyes in shock. "no way you just laughed..."

he suddenly snaps back to his original self, "the fuck you say..?" he says setting off mini sparks in his palm.

"well.. it was nice seeing you bakugou but ill be off- bye....!" you exclaim, quickly running away.

bakugou stared at you running off, chuckling to himself lightly.

its now or never..!

you ran in as the doors opened. you had to think fast and smart. these bots were obviously going to be pretty big, so going up in the buildings would be a smart choice to be able to see down below more clearer.

you jumped and propelled yourself upwards using the wind and landed on the roof of the tallest building you could find. you looked down and saw that there was a three pointer way ahead that no one had gotten to get.

using wind again, you put yourself in front of it and got ready to destroy it. you stomped your foot on the ground while raising your hands up to create a boulder, and throwed it at its neck causing it to fall over. using this to your advantage, you propelled yourself upwards again and dropped the same boulder over it.

you landed on the other side and sighed out, time to go find a bunch of others..

you ran to the other side of the street and found yet another three pointer, but this time you didn't attack it but instead got it to follow you.

i could gather up a couple of these and then destroy them all together, so i won't waste too much energy.

you ran yet again and found another two, catching their attention you now brought the three to an empty lot near a fountain.

you let out a smirk when you realized you were surrounded by enough water for you to use and destroy them. moving your hands, you took the water out from the fountain and used it to surround the biggest one you had rounded up.

freezing it, you had caused it to stop and be at its most vulnerable state. you threw yourself forward with the wind and landed a good kick on it, causing it to break apart.

you let out a grin and looked at the last two running towards you. you stood still and waited until they got close enough to create a huge wall of flames and burn them.

as they drop you wince slightly at the burn starting to form on your arm. at that moment it didn't matter though, you were only focused on gaining more points.

you smiled, you felt stronger then ever. never would you have been able to burn one bot, let alone two. all this hard work was starting to pay off.

you ran to the sound of explosions, gaining more and more points along the way. wherever theres explosions theres bakugou, and where theres bakugou theres always trouble..!

you quickly ran to the noise and found bakugou hunched over with a bunch of pieces surrounding him. there were many other bots coming up to him, and your mind finally clicked.

the noise is what they're attracted to!

if you stuck by bakugou you were bound to get even more points. your body was growing more and more worn out, but you couldnt give up now.

taking the attention to another three pointer you created a bunch of boulders and threw it at it. with every hit of the boulder, the bot slowly broke down.

you let out a pained groan as your body doubled over in pain. you were pushing the limits of your quirk, and you knew it.

suddenly there was a big sound and a bunch of smoke appeared. you forced yourself to look up, and you felt your jaw drop.

in front of you was the biggest bot you had seen all day. those have to be the 0 pointers..! why are they so big?? you readied yourself and turned to the side to see bakugou staring at it with a smirk.

you let out a breath and narrowed your eyes. you knew that if you used your earthbending your body wouldn't be able to do much after, you only had the other three elements left.

i could use my airbending to let myself up to its face.. so far all of the weak spots for the bots are near the face... using the remaining amount of water, i have i should be able to freeze it and create somewhat of damage to it. then blast it with one powerful flame and hope it will be enough...

you jumped and pushed yourself up to the bots face only to be hit by an explosion causing your remaining water to spill out. you winced and looked down at bakugou "watch where you aim your explosions retard!" you spat before turning back to the bot, ignoring the spew of curses bakugou was yelling at you from below.

you only had one option left to create water.

you had to use your blood.

usually you never use it unless you don't realize you're low on water and your body unconsciously does it, but now you had no other choice, you had to do it.

closing your eyes and moving your hands in a circular motion, you heard the water form and felt lightheaded. pushing through, you held back your groans of pain and continued creating more, quickly you froze the water knowing if you went any further you would've passed out. sending the water forward, you covered the head of the bot. with one last force, you put both your hands together and shot a flame as big as you could make it.

the last thing you heard was "times up!" and then saw black as you fell.

you woke up and groaned in pain. blinking your eyes, you saw a short old lady sitting besides you, "how are you feeling sweetie?" she asks, you sit up slowly and give her a soft smile. "i feel fine.. just bit sore.." you muttered.

"well your free to go and finish the written part of your exam. i just healed you up with my quirk " she paused, "you really pushed yourself out there.. your body was real beat up and your blood was really low.. take it easy today and get some rest after" you nod as you grab your stuff and walk to the room to take your written exam.

as you walked home you couldn't help but think of how izukus exams had went. you looked at your arm to see bandages wrapped around it.

i guess i had burned myself pretty bad..

you saw bakugou walking in front of you, but decided not to acknowledge him. he had probably gotten a good score, his quirk was pretty powerful and was destructive. he must've been able to make it to the top 20 in the mock fight.

you let out a sigh as you remembered he must've seen you fall after overusing your quirk.

ahh... thats so embarrassing..! how did i even end up in the nurses office? did they know i had gotten injured from one of the students?

you gasp as your mom hands you the letter from UA, and run into your room quickly. placing the disk down, you let out a quick prayer before the hologram of all might pops up. you let out a soft smile and reminded yourself to thank him for the training the next time you saw him.

you listen as he speaks, "now before i get to your results i would like to say that i am now a part of the UA faculty!" you cant help but let out a big grin. the worlds best hero is gonna be at UA, helping to train us..!

"now to your results! you passed your written test and got 47 villain points on your practical exam! well done!" you let out a sigh when you realized you passed the written exam. "now there was another grading system for the practical exam based off of rescue as us heroes not only beat up villains, but we have to rescue civilians! "i made it in! i actually made it in into goddamn UA!" you felt your mom and dad wrap their arms around you and hug you tight. "i knew you could do it y/n! we're so proud of our baby!" your mom sobbed as she held on to you tight.

"i have to go thank someone for training me!" you announced, grabbed your jacket and heading out, "ill be back soon!" you ran to the beach to hopefully catch all might and thank him.

once you got there you were pleased to see not only all might, but deku as well. you ran up to them, "thank you so much!" you let out a deep bow in all mights direction, "i wouldn't have been able to do as good as i did and make it to the second place in rankings if it weren't for you!"

you head all might chuckle, "dont stress it kid, you both did well and i'm glad to know you both got into UA high school" you smiled and looked at deku, "congrats izu!" he rubbed his neck and laughed, "i should be saying the same to you..! you got second out of all the students!"

"speaking of which.. i was surprised to hear you're becoming a faculty member now! what brought you to the school?" asked deku, you looked at all might questioningly. "well.. i was planning on finding a successor through the school, but meeting you gave me other plans." he explained.

"you'll be able to learn how to be a better vessel for my quirk through the hero program because as you experienced, your body is overflowing with energy at the moment.. you need to train you body to be able to handle the energy. nothing you wont be able to do!" he explained changing into his muscular form.

suddenly the couple on the other side of the beach caught sight of all might, and had caused you three to run away. you laughed at the giddy feeling inside your chest.

your body jolts up as you feel yourself on the verge of passing out.

you quickly glance up at your teacher to see if he noticed you sleeping in his class, sighing quietly when you notice he was turned to the board.

you itched your most recent cut, wincing slightly as it hurt. at least its somewhat healing.. you thought to yourself staring at the scar. you rubbed your eyes to fight the sleep trying to consume you. 

god its like im tired everywhere else except when its time to actually sleep..

you bounced your knee up and down waiting for the time to go by quicker. you couldnt wait to get out of this goddamn academy. why were all last days filled with sappy goodbyes and hugs? you couldnt wait to go home and take a nice long nap.

no more stressing out over school work. no more sleepless nights. no more burn outs.

that sounded like absolute heaven.

you jumped out of your seat and rushed home. you finally had months to actually prepare for the UA entrance exam. you had to make it in.

"mom! can you please call bakugous mom and ask if they can come over? its been so long!" you pleaded once you got home. "fine.. let me call them" sighed out your mom, going to grab the phone.

you watched giddily as she called, "hey, do you think you could come over with bakugou today? y/n finally got out of school and wants to see him" she asked, you saw as her lips form a tight line, "oh.. i see.. its okay then! take care! " she ended the call.

"im afraid bakugou cant come over, she said he wanted to train for the entrance exam and nothing else." she continued but you werent listening.

he didnt want to see you.

after all these years of waiting patiently to see him was for nothing. he didnt care about your friendship with him. he just wanted to train and be a hero.

like always.

 "izuku could probably come over though.. are you even listening y/n??" your mother questioned. you snapped out of your trance, "o-oh yeah! sure we can do that!" you replied, not even knowing what you were agreeing to. 

 "good! izuku will be able to come tomorrow so i suggest you take a bath, eat early, and head to bed to get some good rest. no more school until that entrance exam, i know you wont let us down." she smiled and ruffled your hair.

 you smiled back and nodded. you werent planning on failing it anyways. even if bakugou didnt value your friendship anymore, you still made yourself a promise. you were going to make it in whether you liked it or not.

you showered quickly and went downstairs to get some water. you looked at the food hungrily, but your mind said otherwise. 

are you really going to eat? you already had so much food yesterday. its best you skip eating today so you wont gain much weight. 

you looked down at your stomach and sighed as it rumbled, aching for food. one night cant hurt right? you turned away from the food and got a water bottle getting ready to sleep.

you walked into your room and placed the water bottle on your nightstand and turned off the lights. you let out a yawn and layed down, falling asleep right as your head hit the pillow.

the next day you woke up and did your morning routine. you couldnt help but be excited to see izuku after 3 years. 

as the doorbell rang you rushed to open the door and let out a gasp when you saw how much the green haired boy changed. you hugged him and smiled, "izu! oh my gosh ive missed you so much!" you pulled away and stared at him, "you look so mature now!"

 he let out a small laugh, "i can say the same to you y/n! its been so long!" you stepped aside and welcomed him in. you walked up with him into your bedroom and sat down, "how was the last three years? is bakugou still a bully to you?" you ask.

 he looks down sadly, "he hasnt changed much.. if anything its gotten worse. his egos so big now..!" he lets out a chuckle and scratches his neck, "just yesterday he burned my hero notebook and threw it in the fish pond outside the school..!"

 you gasped, "what? i cant believe he did that! hes changed so much..." he looked down and continued, "that wasnt the worst part... he told me to take a swan dive off the roof if i wanted a quirk that bad.." you felt the anger boil in you.

 "he said WHAT?" you asked in disbelief, "i cant believe i was friends with that piece of shit! and he said he wanted to focus on training instead of talkinh to me after 3 years! i cant believe he wants to be a hero with an attitude like that!" you yelled.

 "its not that big of a deal..! besides... we both got into a villain attack yesterday and guess who saved us?? all might!!" he started fanboying about all the things he did, but you were too busy thinking about how horrible bakugou had became.

"but poor kacchan.. the villian was really going to take over him.. it was scary to look at.." he rambled, "still! its no excuse to hows hes been acting! but your lucky you got to see all might! i wouldve fainted if i actually saw him! " you exclaimed.

 "exactly! but thats not the point, he said i could become a hero too!" he smiled, you looked at him confused "how..?" he looked at his hands and then back at you.

 "promise me you wont tell anyone" you nodded and swore, "all mights quirk was given to him, he wasnt born with it. he told me he would train me so that he could pass on his quirk to me!" your mind went blank.

 "how is that even possible? you cant inherit a quirk! thats not how things work. if its true how come none of the scientists have figured it out yet?" you rambled, "im not sure, but i can finally become a hero now! its all ive wanted, and to top it off i can be trained by the worlds greatest hero!"

 you couldnt help but smile and feel happy for him. all he ever wanted was to be a hero and now it could finally come true. "im happy for you izu! we can try out for UA together!" he smiled and let out a sound of agreement. "maybe we can train together under all might! im sure he'll like you, but just be warned he doesnt always look muscular... he has a whole different body when his quirk runs out.." 

 you found out just exactly what he meant the next day when you met him and all might at the beach.

"so y/n.. this is all might" he said pointing at a man who look like a drug-addict, but then suddenly changed to the all might you saw on tv. "what the actual fuck" you gasped, "told you to be warned..! all might i want you to meet y/n l/n, my best friend of many years!" 

you took a deep bow at his direction, "im thankful to be able to train under you, and for you to trust me with knowing about your identity and izukus new quirk" all might grinned, "of course kiddo, now whats your quirk?" 

 "i have the ability to control elements, so far its mainly the usual four; water, fire, air, earth. im most comfortable with water, and least with earth. each of my elements have its own drawback." he nods as you speak, "you both definitely need to start strength training more as your quirks will be powerful."

 "so lets get started!"

at that moment you had started the ten months of absolute torture. 

everyday was spent working harder than before. a meal plan that was composed so that your every meal had enough protein to not only loose the unwanted body fat, but to also build the needed muscle for your quirk. a sleep schedule so that you woke up everyday with enough energy to train the 5 gruesome hours every morning, and extra if you felt up to it.

finally it was the morning of the long awaited entrance exam. you watched as deku screamed and let out every nerve he had in him. "i have to admit it.. you two have genuinely surprised me by cleaning the entire beach! " exclaimed all might.

he pulled up a photo of you two from the first day you started, "you two have definitely gotten stronger and you y/n, have grown more experienced with your quirk. young midoriya you have now worked your body enough to inherit my quirk... eat this." he handed deku a strand of his hair and you gagged silently.

 "to inherit my quirk you need to consume some of my dna" he explained, "theres no time to explain! eat it or you two will be late!" deku closed his eyes and swallowed the strand making you cringe.

i think im gonna be sick!

you walked with deku to UA and stared at it in awe. you fiddled with your jacket covering the tight tanktop you had on, paired with your army green cargo pants. 

god im so nervous..!

 "even though i ate his hair i dont feel any different.." sighed deku, you smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder "its probably just getting used to your body, besides i never felt any different when i got my quirk!" 

 "stupid deku..! get out of my way before i light you on fire..!" snarled a voice from behind you. your heart dropped as you turned and made eye contact with bakugou. 

you couldnt believe how much he had changed. his face was more mature and his body had definitely grown more muscle. his attitude had just gotten worse though.

he knocked his shoulder into yours and walked away coldly, not saying a word to you.

"asshat" you whispered while continuing to walk with deku until he stumbled on his own feet and was frozen mid air. "are you okay?" said a high pitched voice from a brown haired girl beside you.

"i used my quirk to stop you from falling!" deku got up and started blushing, you giggled knowing he probably thought she was cute. "my names ochako uraraka! nice to meet you two!" you smiled as deku started glitching in real life. "my names y/n l/n and thats izuku midoriya! its nice to meet you too!"

you grinned as a plan came to mind, "well i have to meet someone inside.. you should get to know her izuku! it was nice meeting you! bye izu!" you ran away giggling. he had no choice but to talk to her now!

you took a seat next to a red haired boy and settled down looking at your card. looks like ill be in battle center A.. "hey what center are you in?" the boy asked you as he showed you his card , "oh um.. center A" he sighed, "guess we arent in the same one.. well i wish you luck anyways!" he grinned showing his sharp teeth.

you smiled back, "thanks! you too! also i really like the red hair!" he blushed, "thanks dude!" suddently the lights went out and the hero present mic started speaking.

you finally got changed out of your jacket and prepared to fight. you stood outside of the battle center with a group of other people. you noticed bakugou but didnt awknowledge him, instead you made sure you had enough water in your pouch to use during the fight.

suddenly the doors opened and present mics voice could be heard counting down. "on your mark.. get set... go!" 

 it was finally the moment you had been training months for.

you lift your hands up to gaurd your face as you get into a fighting stance.

lets hope those years of taekwondo come in handy now.. you nod to show bakugou your ready and wait for his confirmation as well.

not soon after he gives you a curt nod, signaling the start. you pace yourself around quietly, moving side to side ocassionally. 

if im not wrong izuku always says he starts off with a right hook so i can move to the left and land a side kick at his open side... just as you had predicted, he came in with a right hook.

you duck to the left and lift your front leg up to land a quick blow as his ribs. you put your foot down repositioning yourself as he regains balance. you smile a bit at the fact you landed your kick.

okay.. now if he thinks competitively hes gonna wanna take back that point by coming in with a kick..

just as you had suspected he came in with a roundhouse kick to your ribs. you push his leg down and throw a punch at his torso quickly before snapping back into defensive position. "hm. youre quite easy to read bakugou" you grin as he seethes.

"shut it genso!" he growls before lunging at you. you quickly side step trying to avoid him, but he grabs on to your left wrist with his left arm pulling you towards him. you widen ur eyes before flipping ur wrist upward and placing ur right forearm on his now twisted arm. you push down and get him down on a knee as his arm is against your thigh. quickly you shove him off before placing his arms behind his back and placing your body weight on top of him to secure him in place. 

"got you.." you say catching your breath, "happy now that we've fought?" you say looking down at him for his response.

"get off me dammit!" he yells, "since when did you even know all of this?!" he asks agitated.

you climb off him wiping the sweat off your cheek, "we didnt see each other during junior high- theres a lot you dont know." you spit still sour on how he didnt meet with you after all those years. 

"i achieved my black belt in taekwondo and learned some other forms of martial arts to pass my test; including jiu-jitsu.." you motion to his position before lending a hand only for it to be slapped away.

"i dont need your petty help" he grunts before sitting up and looking away face slightly red.

"damn did i reslly make you that frustrated that your turning red??" you ask looking at him grinning a bit. he rolls his eyes, "dont give yourself any credit- im just hot.." he says wiping some sweat off his brow.

"yeah ill agree with you about that.." you say before grabbing your water and chugging some quickly, "i suggest you get off your tiny ass and start getting changed, lunch is about to end.." you pick up your bag and walk to the locker room waving him off.

"you little-" he starts but you slam the door behind you before he can finish, grinning to yourself.

you sigh happily as class ends getting ready to walk out before you hear uraraka, "um.. why the heck are you all here??" she exclaims as you walk over to see what was happening. you widen your eyes at the sight of the hoard of students in front of you. "um.. can we help you..?" u ask questioningly.

"theyre scouting us you idiots.." bakugou grunts walking towards the door. "they wanna see the students who survived a real villain attack-" he pauses as he stops in front of them. "take a good look at what a future hero looks like!"

you grumble at his commentary before walking up and placing a hand on his shoulder smiling at the crowd a bit, "we're very sorry for his comments.. anything he says is his own opinion and not what the rest of class 1-a thinks.."

"so this is class 1-a.. i heard you guys were impressive but this guy is an ass.." a guy with purple walks up, "is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?" you slap your forehead, and bakugou growls. 

"how sad to see all of you are ego-maniacs.. I wanted to be in the hero course; like many students here. i didnt cut it the first time, but now i have a second chance. if i do well in the sports festival the teachers can have the option to exchange me to a different class, maybe others are scouting you all but im here to remind you all to do your very best or ill steal your spot from under you. consider this a declaration of war.." he finishes as the rest of the students behind him agree.

bakugou just turns and walks away, "bakugou apologize to them! because of you all of them hate us!" you exclaim frustrated, "these people dont matter.. the only thing that is important is that i beat them." he states before finally walking away.

you sigh before letting out another apology and finding your way thought the crowd.

you started your training during the several days before the sports festival. everyday was spent trying to elongate your time spent using each element without facing the drawbacks. by the end of the week you could use your water bending for almost hour, you air bending for 45 minutes, and your earth and fire bending for 30 minutes before feeling the drawbacks. 

but of course that wouldnt really matter if you used your fire or earth to an extensive amount in blasts. i just have to be wise and not impulsive when using those two elements... this is my time to show heroes that im capable of being a hero...

next thing you knew it was the day of the sports festival. 

you quickly grab your bag and start putting on your shoes, "im off..!" you exclaim to your parents. "wait!" called your mother before running over to you with your dad right behind. 

"y/n.. show em what l/n blood is made of." says your dad as he gives you a proud smile, "and whatever you do.. just know we're proud of you.." whispers your mom as she hugs you.

"i wont disappoint you two... be sure to record the festival so i can see it when im back." u add before opening the door and turning a last time to wave before walking out.

you walk to ua with only one thing in mind,

a/n: lol so um i barely know how to write fight scenes, so we're starting this chapter like halfway through the calvary battle. we'll start from where monoma steals bakugous headband bc why notttttt

"change of plans... we're getting rid of all these extras.." bakugou seethes looking down at his palms. 

you let out a gulp, "be rational bakugou... even if we do- we have to be careful.. we dont know their quirks..." you state looking up at him.

"shut it genso! im always rational! now get them kirishima!" he growls staring at them menacingly. kirishima rushes forward, "you think youre so tough?!" you grunts before winding back to send an explosion only for monoma to block it.

bakugou grunts turning around quickly to recieve a explosion right to his face. monoma chuckles amused, "no wonder you love this quirk so much..!" he says before hitting kirishima quickly.

"he can copy quirks!" you yell up, quickly figuring out his quirk. bakugou grunts in response sending another explosion at him only for him to block it using kirishimas hardening quirk.

"ah..! looks like we have a smart one here!" he grins. you narrow your eyes getting ready to speak up, when another 1-b student stops you all with his quirk. you look down to see kirishimas leg stuck by some substance. 

"genso! mina! hurry and get rid of it!" commands bakugou as he stares at monomas team running away, "we're loosing them!" 

you and mina both work to burn the substance as quickly as you could. finally, you managed to free his leg "done!" you announce. 

before you could collect yourself kirishima starts running causing you to snap back into reality, "hey extras! get back here!" yells bakugou, sending himself flying forward. 

"sero, get ready to catch him!" you instruct quickly trying to run as close to him as possible so there would be a less risk of him to fall. you look at bakugou to see him stuck in a bubble of some sort, "cmon bakugou!" you state frustrated, "i thought you said you were gonna win! stop holding back for fucks sake!" you yell.

you see bakugou winding his hand back and blasting a explosion at the bubble causing it to burst. you let out a grin as bakugou grasb some of the headbands around monomas neck. "sero- now!" you yell rushing forward to meet him halfway.

kirishima lets out a grunt as bakugou lands back in his original position with a thump. "we're not done yet! im not finished till i get all our points back from that copycat bastard!" he rages. 

"elbow guy, tape him!" he instructs moving to the side to let him do so. "raccoon eyes! leave some acid in the direction we're going!" he says lifting his leg. "genso- use your air to push us forward quicker!" he grunts as kirishima glides over minas acid easily.

quickly the other team tries to protect themselves by creating another barrier, "not so fast!" you yell bounding them with earth to stop any of them from moving or using their quirks. 

bakugou grins predatorily as he snatches the last headband off of monomas neck. "now we're going for deku and half n half..!" he glares looking at the ice covered area.

the timer blares as the last 10 seconds start being counted down. you move your hands up turning the ice to water and throwing it down behind you. suddenly, bakugou goes flying again. okay seriously.. this guy has some real issues with communicating... you grit staring up at him.

"times up!!" announces present mic over the speakers. 

bakugou lands face first on the ground as you all slow to a stop. you stifle a laugh at the sight of him sprawled against the ground before bursting into laughter along with your other teammates. 

you all run up to him as you control your laughter, "you okay..?" u chuckle only to see him beating his fist against the ground repeatedly.

you hear present mic announce the teams moving on. "looks like our leader isnt exactly all that fond of the fact we ended up in second.." kirishima sighs grinning a bit. you giggle a bit at the sight of bakugou throwing a tantrum.

"you know in some ways he reminds me of a toddler who didnt get the toy he wanted..." you remark, smirking to yourself slightly. kirishima shakes his head in amusement as you and him both pull bakugou up to his feet. "bakugou stop whining... at least we made it to the last round. now you actually have the chance to win.." you fold your hands across your chest, meeting his gaze.

"whatever.." he grunts not acknowledging you and walking away. 

"time for a lunch break!" screeches present mic as all the students start clearing the arena.

you quickly rush into the ua gym after eating. letting out a quick sigh, you lean against the wall for support. "fuck, fuck, fuck... its obviously gonna be 1v1 battles between the last couple of students.." you groan slumping down and slowly closing your eyes. 

you turn your head slowly looking at the cheerleading costume in your hand dejectedly, "do we really have to do this...?" you whisper to yourself before standing back up to go change into it, grabbing your pom poms on the way out.

you stand next to uraraka and all the other girls readying yourselves to come out into the arena. "arent these clothes a bit too.. revealing..?" you question trying to pull down the skirt that barely covered your butt.

"i tried my best to make it somewhat better than the other cheerleading outfits, but this was the best i could get.." sighs yaoyorozu apologetically. 

you let out a slight smile, "hey.. its alright.. its just for a little while.. i can manage" u smile reassuringly. 

you all walk out as you lower your head in embarrassment, feeling the crowd and students stare. standing against the wall you realize denki and mineta had tricked you all. you let out a gasp as you meet bakugous widened eyes. quickly you look away, cheeks reddening slightly in the process. "this is so embarrassing..! im gonna kill those two when i see them!" you mutter.

you turn and see them two giggling in the corner, "you perverts! im gonna curb stomp the two of you until you cant tell whose who!" you rage, turning red in both embarrassment and fury.

"well.. we might as well not waste yaoyorozus creation and just use them to the best we can- besides theyre pretty cute!" exclaims hagakure happily.

"hell no" you deadpan, "im not feeding into those two perverts delusions" you grunt throwing down the pom poms and walking up to the other students who made it to the final round. 

you mutter to yourself angrily standing in the middle of the crowd hearing how the final matches are gonna be separated. you turn feeling someone staring, only to find bakugou behind you avoiding your gaze with slightly flushed cheeks.

you widen your eyes turning to the front blushing, no.. theres no way hes staring at me.. its just the light! im seeing things! you think shaking your head slightly to rid yourself of the thought.

you look up to see who your first opponent would be. you let out a sigh of relief, "oh.. aoyama.. thatll be a easy fight.." you smile, before rushing off to the other girls as they set up the new arena. 

"cmon y/n! cheer with us!" chuckles uraraka throwing you pom poms and jumping. you let out a small smile "fine..." you grin before joining them. 

"y/n! you seem like you know how to tumble, got shorts on under?" mina asks playfully as she readies herself next to you.

you let out a grin, "you know me too well!" you laugh before counting down and rushing forward doing a roundoff into a back handspring beside mina, landing cleanly with a exhilarating smile. the crowd goes wild and cheers you all on with claps and praises as you smile waving up at the crowd with your pom in hand.

"okay this is actually pretty fun..." you admit blushing a bit in embarrassment.

you sit up in the class 1-a section having changed out of your cheerleading outfit. looking down at the arena, you get ready to spectate izuku and shinsos fight. you let out a cheer as the two walk out, "lets go izu!!" you yell clapping.

you change into your ua training uniform and sit next to kirishima and the rest of his friends, including bakugou.

"everyone get ready! we're about to walk out soon!" informs iida as he walks into the waiting rooms. you let out a breathy sigh, geez... this is so nerve wracking..!

"midoriya." you hear todoroki say as you turn to see what was happening. "i think its fairly clear that im stronger than you," izuku opens mouth to say something but closes it. "however, youve got all might in a corner helping you out. im not here to pry about whats happening between you two- but know that i will beat you" he glares.

"todoroki.." you walk up placing your hand on his shoulder pulling him back slightly. "why are you instigating right now? we're all worried about going up and im sure you are too. we already have all the other classes to worry about so lets not make any issues inside our class too ey?" you add dropping your hand.

"we arent here to make friends- just remember this isnt a team effort." he states before walking away.

"wait todoroki- i dont know why you think you should tell me this when we all know your potential, but all the other classes are coming for us with all theyve got. we all have to fight to stand out" he pauses before looking up, "and ill be aiming for the top too."

"this first group are no strangers to the spotlight! you all may know them from withstanding a villain attack... the hero course student of class 1a!" introduces present mic as you all walk out.

mina and you both let out a gasp, "oh my..." she starts, "i didnt know there was gonna be this many people..!" she exclaims. you all stop in the middle of the field as the rest of the courses get introduced and walk out.

you all stand in front of midnight as she gets ready for the introductory speech. you scratch your neck a bit at the sight of her hero costume, "i bet y/n would look 10x better if she wore that.." drooled mineta. you turn to him and send a flame of fire at his way quickly, "ugh.. disgusting" you scowl before you hear another scream from him causing you to turn. you widen your eyes a bit as you see bakugou threatening him with explosions near his face.

you slowly turn back before side eyeing mina only to receive a shrug back. "for the student pledge we have.. katsuki bakugou!" you widen your eyes with your mouth agape, "theres no way..! we're about to be hated on by not only the students- but the pros as well..!" 

he walks up to the mic with his hands stuffed into his pockets, "i just wanna say... im gonna win." he states nonchalantly. you slap your forehead as the students and crowd boo him as he walks down. "seriously bakugou? you couldnt think of anything better than that to start off today with?" you ask frustrated before turning away scoffing.

"without further ado, the first game of the festival is... an obstacle race!" midnight announces into the mic. "all classes will participate in this race.." she continues to describe the race thoroughly for everyone to hear.

just my luck.. of course the first obstacle is a race..!  you sulk internally, i just gotta thug it out.. i dont know what to expect so i just have to be ready for anything.. besides i can do whatever i want according to the rules.. god please bless me..!

you all walk to the front of the gate preparing for the race to start. you look up at the lights watching as they go down one by one. you take a deep breath in and exhale before you hear midnights voice saying to begin. you start to run before realizing that people are getting stuck in the gateway, you grin before pushing yourself up with your air and moving forward over everyone else.

you feel a chill realizing todoroki had iced the floor just as you left it, you let out a breath of relief before quickly landing and running not far behind him. "nice one todoroki.. but you really didnt expect to hold down everyone did you?" you smirk calling out to him. 

suddenly you hear explosions coming from behind you, of course... theres students who prepared themselves as well for this... you come to a slow stop as your mouth drops at the sight of the bots. "oh cmon..." you whine, before rushing forward and moving your arm up to create a boulder, hitting the bot in front of you with it which put you in front of todoroki.

you jump in the air again to go over the rest of the bots before looking back to see todoroki not far behind, "geez this guy doesnt know when to stop.." you groan. you quickly drop down to reduce your time using your quirk, but todoroki passes by you. "son of a-" you start before hearing explosions overhead, "and him too??" you curse under your breath.

you rush to the next obstacle right behind the two in front of you. you make a pushing motion with your hand allowing the rock from the pillars to move forward and create a pathway for you to run over before destroying it behind you and doing the rest all the way to the end. you let out a quick curse as you turn to see the other contestants starting to catch up behind you.

finally, you land on the opposite side and climb up the stairs to see a minefield ahead of you. what are we training for? the army? you think rolling your eyes as you see bakugou and todoroki fighting up ahead of you. you quickly use your wind to let yourself leap across the minefield. though it slowed you down, it wasnt causing you to overuse your quirk which would help throughout the rest of the festival. 

suddenly you hear a huge explosion from behind and turn to see deku flying through the air with a piece of metal underneath him. "holy fuck.." you whisper before realizing the people were still moving behind you causing you to do the same to keep distance. you hear another explosion as you see deku landing on the end of the minefield. my gosh izuku... you better run... you think as you quickly pass by the two idiots on the floor behind you grinning.

"thanks for fighting you two...!" you exclaim as you push your legs harder to increase the distance between you and them. "damn you genso..!" you hear bakugou yell as explosions start nearing you causing you to propell yourself forward with your wind. you let out a loud gasp as you cross the gate a split second before bakugou and todoroki. you slow to a stop catching your breath as you stare up at the crowd cheering and clapping you all on. 

you let out a exhausted smile before rushing over to izuku to congratulate him. "you won..!" you exclaim breathlessly as you smile proudly. he nods before thanking you, "ah.. you did well too..! you beat bakugou and todoroki..!" you laugh a bit grinning, "bet you anything bakugous seething at the thought of it.." you say before turning to see bakugou clenching his fists. "told you!" you chuckle.

you all wait in front of midnight as she start explaining the next section of the festival. "the next obstacle will be... the calvary battle!" she exclaims pointing to the screen.

"you all will form groups for this obstacle, but theres one more thing to add- all of you have been assigned a point value depending on your place in the obstacle race! the points go up in increments of 5, for example the last place contestant is worth 5 points. on the other hand, the first place winner is awarded with 10 million!" you see everyone stare izuku down. yikes.. hes gonna get targeted..

"now pair up!" she instructs before starting a timer. you look around only to find kirishima rushing towards you and dragging you with him. "your gonna be partnered up with me, bakugou, sero, and mina!" he grins as if nothing was wrong.

"bakugou??" you ask dumbfounded, "theres no way im partnering up with that asshole!" you add trying to move the other way only to continue being dragged away. "sorry y/n... but he wanted you on the team- besides your quirk can definitely help us!" he smiles cheerfully.

he wants me on his team..? wait what- you come to a stop in front of the rest of the members. "listen up extras.. ill be the rider, shitty hair youll be in the front, soy sauce youll be in the back, genso and pinky on the sides. understood?" you stand there blankly before nodding quickly, "sure i guess..?" 

you all set up quickly and stand off to the side waiting for the timer to run out, "we're currently in second place without our points.." you inform, "right.." bakugou agrees, "everyone will be targeting deku.. we should go for everyone else since theres no point in wasting time with a team already being attacked by many others.." he strategizes.

you nod as you listen closely along with the rest of the members. you hear midnight telling everyone to line up around the ring to get ready for the battle. you let out a sigh hearing the clock count down before thinking,

please dont fuck us up bakugou..
